Food and drinks were ok but the service Could have been better. We have waited more that 30 min for our table even though we had a reservation.
We were seated promptly at a table on the upstairs level. I had requested a spot where the entire party would have a good view of the room and the hostess tried her best to accommodate us, but the way the tables are set up does not allow for that. Still, she did make note of the request and seated us in the best spot possible. The lighting is very dim, which made reading the menu difficult for three out of the four people in our group. I understand that the restaurant is trying to set a mood, but it would be nice to be able to see our food. The lack of light is actually a concern, because my water glass was dirty and my friend's appetizer plate had dried-up mozzarella cheese on it. Rather gross, indeed.
The waitress seemed distant and indifferent - she clearly would have preferred being elsewhere. The food runner grabbed our appetizer plates before we were completely finished using them and practically threw our entrées on the table. Also, one of the busboys grabbed my beer glass before I had finished drinking and we had to yell after him to bring it back. I don't really know why there was so much rushing around, because most of the tables were empty, so it shouldn't have been a problem.
The food was tasty, but it would have been nice if there had been better spacing between courses - the entire meal seemed rushed. As much as I enjoyed my foodthe and liked the look of the space, I don't think I will be returning anytime in the near future.
Carroll Place is definitely a good affordable brunch spot. The food was good but not amazing . Still worth going especially for the unlimited drinks! Great place to go with a group of friends.
Carroll Place has a great vibe for Sunday Brunch. The menu has plenty of options and bottomless 2 hours compliments nicely! Service was very good too.
Will definitely go back.
My party and I, as always, are treated like kings ( and queens...lol). Always a great experience. Will be back many times. Thank you!
Great atmosphere and fun experience for everyone at our table. Get the Nutella dessert ...you will not be disappointed!
Food was delicious, service was on point and music was great. Can’t wait to go back!
Came to bottomless brunch this past Sunday. Had a pretty good time (thanks to bottomless mimosas and rosé sangria). My food wasn't great. I got the eggs Benedict. It came on untoasted bread and literally one thin slice of prosciutto. It was bland, but there was no salt/pepper on my table. The server never came to check on us after we got the food, so I couldn't tell her. I ate all of my fries and left the entirety of the eggs Benedict and when she cleared my plate she didn't inquire as to why this was. Dessert calzone made up for the fact that I didn't get a full entree. So delicious and filling.
The service was fine. I am a server/bartender so I tend to be lenient and understanding. Our bottomless carafe stayed full for the first 1.5 hours of our bottomless. However, our server closed us out at 4:30 (our reservation was at 3, but we didn't start drinking until 3:15ish). I'm sure her shift was over and since we weren't ordering anything else to add to the tab, I can understand why she'd go head and close us out . Unfortunately she didn't inform any of the bussers and food runners that we still had 30 to 45 minutes left on our bottomless and our carafes never got refilled.
The atmosphere was awesome. Definitely a fun brunch spot but could have been better.
Phenomenal ambience, excellent drinks, and great food/price ratio. Excellent choice for a group dinner!
Amazing place to gather with friends for brunch! Very hip and reasonably priced !
The wait staff was very attentive to our party as we sat at a high top table in the middle of the restaurant. We went for a happy hour drink and some snacks. The pizza was ok a little soggy and could have had a little more flavor to the sauce. The rosemary wings were phenomenal and the fried calamari were good. The selection of wines for happy hour were not as extensive as I anticipated but the deal itself is good considering it is half off any house liquor and beer as well. It was loud and my father and uncle could not hear very well as the place got busier but it is expected in a lively bar
We loved the rustic ambiance of this restaurant! Our server was very attentive and pleasant and the food was great too. I would definitely recommend it!
Great wine selection and you can’t beat their happy hour!
I came here for brunch and booked a reservation. When I arrived they told me my reservation was only for 2 when open table clearly stated it was for 7. Our food was promptly served and drinks were continuously brought. But, then about an hour into our brunch they told me our bottomless beverages had ended even though we clearly had another hour left. I instantly made this aware that we still had an hour left but they stated it was the time our reservation was made. Well...our reservation had been made for 11:30 and they had thought it was made for 11. I would not even suggest making a reservation because they clearly don’t have adequate technology to ensure that you time and number of guests are promptly accounted for. The food was good and the prices were decent. The service was something that definitely could be improved.
Excellent brunch... great food, and the bottomless was outstanding ! Will definitely return!
Always a great place for the bottomless mimosas.
However you get kicked out of the restaurant after 2h15 by the Manager. Bookings are too tight and we weren't able our friend's company as much as we wanted to.
We had an Irish waitress that was very nice and that gave us great service.
Awesome! Homemade options were amazing. Pizza was to die for... literally
Awesome place, $27 bottomless mimosa brunch on Sunday. Make an early reservation!
I’m very glad to have found a place that offers a regular menu along with a vegan menu! My friend and I were both very pleased with the taste and quality of the pizza especially! I will likely be coming again.
This place was pretty crowded when I arrived. The service is alright but I felt as if I barely saw my waitress. I had the bottomless brunch and the mimosa was really good. The place is also loud so get ready to raise your voice for the duration of your meal. I ordered one of the pizzas and I really enjoyed mine.
I loved Carroll Place! The decor was unique and the food was delicious. Also, a great value for bottomless brunch, it was $27 for an entree and bottomless mimosa, bloody Mary, or rose sangria. I consider myself a foodie, and I will absolutely be visiting Carroll Place again.
Service was good, but the music level was too loud. My family each ordered pizza, which they enjoyed. I ordered a clam linguine dish that had good flavor but the size of the clams were ridiculously small.
We came as a group on Pride Sunday. You can't beat Carroll Place's bottomless brunch--the value is great and the food is delicious! The decor is great, our server was wonderful (despite the place being packed!), and we had a great time. My one complaint is that is does get really loud which makes it hard to hear conversation, and I don't necessarily need a live dj spinning tunes at brunch. But this won't stop me from going back again! Thanks, Carroll Place.
Been here a couple of times, always pleased. Last time we were a big group and service was still great. Truffle fries are a must, but I also recommend Caroll burger and pork sliders. Cool vibe and music late nights.
bottomless brunch, good food good vibe
Was fun. Exactly what I was looking for.
My friends and I had eaten here a few times but after today I am not sure if I will be eating brunch here. Not only was the food just okay, but my friend ordered a pizza and the waiter brought her a completely different dish and she said I’m sorry but this is not what I ordered, the waiter asked her “are you sure?” And tried to tell my friend she forgot what she had ordered.
We had a huge group and they did great with accommodating us!!
Beautiful food and the place was lovely and cozy. Service staff didn’t really want to be there....the place was basically empty....not sure which came first, the empty restaurant or the grouchy staff 🤔
This was a good sunday brunch as it was bottomless, our server was on point with the mimosa. Food was pretty good!! if you're looking for a chill place with music, good food . i would be going back again :)
There was a dog screaming and crying outside and it ruined the first hour. If I didn't come here so often I would have never came back because of how casual management was with the fact that multiple tables were clearly having their brunches ruined just to keep this one terrible dog owner calm. Friends have asked my group how brunch went and their responses to the story were at large "That's ridiculous I would never go back somewhere that let that happen" once hearing NOTHING was done to remove the couple other than the manager mentioning one time that they will have to go if it continues.. it did.. nothing happened ... we all just suffered.. So in the future ..... I highly suggest SOMEONE get rid of guests who tie up dogs to a pole and disturb everyone eating outside. Just saying. The server and host were amazing this was clearly due to poor higher management not handling the situation. Outsiders screamed inside about the dog. Again. Nothing was done.
meh. food was ok. brunch drinks were watered down.
We really enjoyed Carroll Place! Fun after work scene at the bar up front, and quieter seating in back. We had several appetizers—shrimp scampi, rosemary wings, pizza—and there all excellent. The entrees were also terrific—pasta with clams, Arctic char, burgers. Attentive service, fun atmosphere. Totally recommend!
Overall it was ok. wasnt many italian dishes offered...shrimp scampi was good. Womt return.
Good food but very noisy. Great for the under thirty crowd.
Vegan pizza gets two thumbs up.
This place is a go to of mine for any time of the day/week! The unlimited brunch is a great deal and goes until 5! The eggs Benedict is great. You can’t go wrong with the pizzas. The rosemary wings are to die for. It’s noisy, so maybe not the best for an intimate meal, but always a great scene and good service.
The picture of this place shows a nice empty room with wood tables. Instead the bar was overflowing; the music even in the "empty" room was head banging; and the food was only ok. Too bad as the location is excellent and the service was also very good and friendly.
always excellent food. patient and kind server. we sat outside and lingered for a long time. cant wait to return!
It’s a great place for a fun bottomless brunch! Would definitely recommend.
