Carter & Fitch
Pizzeria - The Carter & Fitch pizza is a real Italian affair. Devour the Pizza Lungo 12” thin crust pizza, fresh from our Italian oven. The base is hand stretched using long ferment dough, resulting in a delicate crust. Topped with our very own secret sauce.
Smokehouse - All of our meats are from selected prime cuts, rubbed with our unique blend of spices and seasonings, infused overnight, then smoked in our Oklahoma smokehouse oven, low and slow over Mesquite, till meltingly tender.
Bar - Our fully stocked bar has something to wet every appetite from beer, spirits, wines, champagnes and cocktails. If you feel like throwing caution to the wind…ask your server about our new ‘Hard Shakes’. We even have a ‘Speak Easy’…Shhh, that’s our little secret!

Waited ages for food even though restaurant was fairly quiet. Yorkshire pudding burnt and string found in meat. Staff not very friendly.
Didnt enjoy food , was standard , not enough choice and expensive
We had booked a table. Ordered main courses only. Waited 55 minutes for food, were not approached by any staff to explain the long wait until we asked. Response was not very apologetic, just well we've got a group in another room.
Pizza was good, butternut squash dish good, salads fresh.
Overall, quite a nice experience, but we did feel the prices were a little steep for the type of food. We would go again, and now we know what the portion size is we can plan to be a little more thrifty.
The service was very poor. We had to wait for quite a while for a drinks order to be taken by this time we had already gone to the bar ourselves.
The food was ok but my partner got a rib eye steak which was not seasoned and he preferred my pizza to his steak which shows how bad it was!!! We would have complained but no staff returned to our table until we requested the bill from the bar! Will not be returning any time soon
First visit & very impressed with food, service & ambiance.
One small niggle was that our various glasses were not taken from the table the whole night.
I will definitely return.
Great little restaurant, food was very good for lunch and our guests were impressed.
Very quiet, hope it gets busier as it deserves more customers.
Top notch quality food and drink at great value. Highly recommended.
Service was excellent from inital table booking until I paid the bill. The food was amazing and well worth cost. When I left, I booked the table for a repeat visit.
My party had an overall poor experience. The staff were very friendly but rushed off their feet! The food was poor unfortunately. Two of the party chose chilli. It was so runny it was like soup! Really difficult to eat with a knife and fork. There wasn’t sufficient rice to go with the chilli so we asked for additional portions. This never arrived. We had to wait some time before staff came back to us to ask if we wanted to order dessert. As it was so late we had to skip dessert and order coffees. So disappointing! We will not be returning.
Cocktails were amazing. The food was tasty and big portions. Nice atmosphere and waitress was very helpful. Will definitely return.
Food was just ok...nothing special...ok because it is local and in walking distance for us.
Great service, huge portion sizes and delicious food. Menu variety was also awesome. Very happy customers
Soulless atmosphere, corporate culture, unispired cardboard vegetarian choice , every lager tasted of chemicals and metal . My wife and I were there as a couple for a romantic meal and were put in between travelling salesmen plugged into laptops , MP3 players , phones or all three in one case. Autopilot attention from staff . The worst restaurant I have been to in years . Clueless crap
I didn't enjoy the food, the pizza oven was broken so the kids couldn't have garlic bread as their starter and didn't like the other two options so only have 2 courses but still got charged for 3. There was a very limited choice of food as the proper menu didn't start til 6, I chose the steak pie which had more gravy than steak and only came on a plate with a dollop of potato and a gravy boat, no veg. Very over priced for what we got, we won't be returning.
Very disapppointed, Service was beyond poor. almost 25 minutes to seat us at a table which was empty when we went in, no-one greeted us to ask us if we had a booking, we had to approach staff after standing near the bar for 5 minutes without any contact. once seated we were given menus but not asked about drinks for another 5 minutes (which we were given free for our inconvenience). Food was satisfactory but further drinks orders were seen to be standing on the bar whilst staff chatted amongst themselves. the 'restaurant' itself is more like a diner / clubhouse than a traditional restaurant, with people coming in from the hotel & golfcourse and sitting at tables and seemingly being attended to quicker than ourselves.
we were not the only people to suffer as other people were complaining at other tables and like ourselves being given free drinks / sides as compensation.
Food was nothing spectacular but was nice enough, and servers were polite when at our table, however the place was not busy, so thee service should have been significantly better
We were a party of 4 adults & 2 children, service was ok until we had finished our main course. We then waited 45 minutes for the children to be served their desserts,& this was after asking 2 members of staff if there was a problem. Subsequently our bill was discounted by 15%.
The food was fine , & we will probably return but hopefully the service will be a little quicker.
The food was nice, however we waited 40minutes after receiving a desert menu before I went to the bar to order as no-one had been back to our table to take our order. After ordering at the bar we then waited 10minutes after receiving nothing and decided to instead go to the bar to pay and leave.
Service was absolutely terrible and the restaurant wasn’t busy.
Great food, huge portion sizes and great atmosphere.
Had Sunday lunch at about 4pm. Service was fine but food was awful. Meat was fine but veg was overcooked and dry, it had obviously been either reheated or kept under the heat lamps too long. Too be fair we were only charged for the wine after we complained and the manager apologized for the state of the food.
Had a brilliant night here! Food was lovely and the staff really friendly! Will definitely be back!
I was a little disappointed with the length of time we had to wait to be served and for the food to arrive, a little bit of slap dash attuite, but not rude. I live at the back of the hotel and have family coming the end of march a party of 10, we was planning to attend the restaurant on the Saturday evening I am a little concerned that the service will be the same. this has been the second time this has happened to on visiting your restaurant. The noise behind the bar was very loud and quite intrusive on our party, we where a group of 6 of mixed ages and we all of the same opinion. I don't want to sound negative but there seems to have been no improvement in many months, and feed back from my and family's visits over the last year has not been taken on board, Feed back is only good if action is taken. Food was general good no veg on offer was told we could have some but it would just be left overs ?? and yes it was left overs, fish and chip great steak pie good, barbeque chicken was terrible tasted like it had been blasted with some kind of chemical, sweets lovely. Value from money average. I would love to return as the décor lovely and great location. However I will have to think about taking the chance again.
The food was very poor quality for the price we paid. The chips looked and tasted like frozen oven chips. We both ordered steak and had to ask for steak knives as they werent provided. We were either over charged or the cost of 2 glasses of wine and 1 diet coke was £27! The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait quite a while for our food. We were told after ordering that a large group had just ordered so it might take some time. The tables are quite close together and we couldnt hear each other for the music.
Amazing food with great service. Lovely cocktails and great selection of food.
This was our second visit & we will definitely be back. Lovely food & lovely staff. The starter of garlic prawns is one of the best I've had. Are delicious.
The food was lovely and me and my boyfriend throughly enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated the service we received.
We had a very nice night. Stephanie and her colleague treated us very well and the food was excellent
Very bad experience here. Service was shocking. Me and my partner arrived and had to go to the bar for service even though I reserved us a table. Once we got seated we waited for 15 minutes for a drink. After this we waited another 30 minutes for the waiter to ask for our order. Once we ordered we waited for another 30 minutes for our waiter to come over and say they 'lost' our order. We then waited another 30 minutes after that to eventually get our starters. Only positive on this experience was the food. I couldn't fault the quality of food but portion sizes were small. Overall it's overpriced and I won't be going back.
Great place to eat, staff were really attentive and friendly, food was well presented and great décor.
My overall rating is not based on the food. As that was delicious. Best sirloin I’ve had in ages and portion sizes were enough to make me feel satisfied. For me though the ratings come down for the noise level. We couldn’t hear each other talking and had to keep raising our voice or leaning over the table to hear each other, which, when you’ve specifically chosen a restaurant meal to enjoy each other’s company and have a chat. Ok we’d chosen the one night a live band was on so I accept that will be noisy anyway but even before the band had started we commented on how we could hear everyone talking and the lack of any carpets and wall coverings and high ceilings just echoed and amplified the sound to just impossible levels. Such a shame as we did enjoy the food but instead of lingering over dinner as we love to do we ate quickly and got a taxi to a local pub Staff were fab tho. Very friendly. We won’t go again but I’d recommend the food if you don’t mind the bad acoustics
Waitresses were exceptionally friendly and helpful
Left feeling stuffed full of tasty food which is always good
The cocktails are quite pricey and the mojito I had wasn't the best :(
Food and drinks lovely however service extremely poor. We arrived and were not greeted and noticed a table with our booking name on so seated ourselves. We received table service for first round of drinks and food but then it seemed to turn into bar service as we had to find staff or go to the bar for further drinks. When clearing our plates a member of staff asked if we wanted desserts and we declined to which he said ‘just the bill then’. We had to ask if we could stay and continue having drinks. Once we finally got the bill we then waited over ten minutes for someone to come with a card machine despite being one of only three tables sill in at his point with several members of staff still around.
Both service and food were excellent. Portions were huge! Good wine selection and desserts were also delicious.
Had a great meal for a friends birthday, food was excellent and we will definitely be returning
Ordered the pulled pork nachos. The pork was all fat.
Then ordered the calzone, pulled pork inside was the same and the calzone itself was hard and bland.
Very disappointed after been previously for a lunch. Waiter showed us to a table in the middle at the front / drafty and then set up for two covers. We moved ourselves to a more ambient table set up for four people. Drinks were ordered and then had to be reordered as they had forgotten us. Nobody appeared to be in charge?
Starters eventually arrived and were OK, Nachos were cold and cheese only just melted, Halloumi fries were nice. Main courses - Chicken Kebab - very dry, Pizza not very generous topping, Pork very bland. After 3 hours we weren't offered the dessert menu and paid then left. Not great value for money I'm afraid
Lovely meal with family from America celebrating our anniversary ,the service was excellent the staff were all friendly and happy, the food was superb and the portions were a good size too,all our company had a lovely evening .myself and my husband stayed after our meal for a few drinks which was a lovely atmosphere too.we will be returning soon with our daughter and her husband.
Mediocre with a side of bland....
For starters, we ordered the “Pig n nachos” and garlic bread with a fancy name starter, by the time we got the garlic bread it had been sat on the counter, which was in full view of the restaurant, for a good 15 minutes and was already cold, this was then took back and re-made and came back to us still pretty mediocre.
One of us got the buttermilk chicken which was completely bland and side orders of mac n cheese, which again, was really bland and grainy, with med veg, which again was...you guessed it! It was bland and tasted like something out of a tin.
The other main we got was the dry rub ribs, this was substandard but the most edible thing of the evening, this came with “hand cut chips”...hand cut meaning they were made by Supermarket employees themselves and banged in the oven until drier than the surface of mars on a fine summers day. Probably the best part of the meal was the battered onion leaves, which to be fair, were half decent.
Overall, the restaurant looks promising on both the menu and first impressions, however didn’t live up to any expectations we had, it 100% seemed like they were used to customers being disappointed as we weren’t asked how the meal was afterwards when clearing the table, or when paying the bill either. Definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone or revisiting any time soon.
Fab, friendly staff who went above and beyond for anything we needed or asked for. Food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good.
Disappointed with our visit on 8th April. We went for lunch on my Son’s Birthday - having visited on an evening before & really loving the food & atmosphere. It was totally different on a Sunday / lunchtime. No real atmosphere. Staff generally seemed disinterested, were just going through the motions & were slow in serving. Could have looked past that, but the food was really disappointing. Our garlic bread with cheese was that salty, I couldn’t eat it. Also, our topped fries were old oven chips that seemed to have been re heated from the day before. Again, food left. After leaving feedback on Facebook, no Response back either. Wasn’t worth the money we spent. Real shame, as have previously had good experience. Maybe different chef on a lunch?
