Wow!!! What a great breakfast spot! Walter was my waiter and he alone was awesome. I had the avocado toast Ana it had on it literally the most delicious poached eggs I have ever had!!!!
Totally gonna hit this spot again when I head to the airport!
Sat at our table for twenty minutes before a server acknowledged us. This place is way too expensive to have such poor service.
Amazing all around beautiful location
The new Kale Saled is delicious. However, I’m still not clear who my server was. Everything took way too long. The server approaching our table, taking the order, delivering the food and also processing the check. Not sure why everyone seemed confused, maybe it was because the menu was new.
Also requested a table outdoors and was only provided a table indoors.
This restaurant sits overlooking the marina and provides the perfect backdrop for an incredible smart casual dining experience,
full equipped with mood lighting and elegant fire-pit serving tables. The best dish on the menu is the salmon hands down!!!! This was the house recommendation and they nailed it. Several in my party enjoyed it as the Chef set the plate but I had it over the delectable leafy greens and beet salad. Great selection of wines and desserts. The service experience was outstanding and customized. A memorable and enjoyable time with Cast & Plow.
Every thing came out at timely manner. The food was delicious and my family really enjoyed their meal. Our server was very polite and had a very high food menu knowledge. He definitely took part on the Ritz-Carlton culture. My family is definitely coming back and will recommend this restaurant.
The vantage point of this restaurant overlooking the marina is a highlight. Sunset was remarkable as I am sure it is every other night but it was great on this night. The food choices lean towards casual in an elegant setting of such a nice hotel. Benny, our server, took very good care of us, giving us the time and space that we had requested to make the evening special. Truly an enjoyable time for us that evening.
It was a first date. We both ordered the Harvest Salad. But, the waiter just brought one salad, for me, and nothing for my obvious date. We had to wait a long time for him rustle up another salad.
The food is a disappointment. I was told the quinoa bowl was a nice choice but it was a bowl of bird food. My husband’s steak was average. The free dessert to celebrate our anniversary was a nice touch. High marks for service and ambience but the food is not good especially for the price. If you want to look at the marina just go for coffee or drinks.
Cast and Plow is a favorite of mine and I frequently visit. This night we went for my husband's birthday. The apps came out fairly quickly but the remainder of the service was extremely slow.
The food as always was amazing and delicious.
Food very mediocre. Service just ok, host disorganized
Overall management lacking for a high line hotel.
The wait staff was outstanding, they made me feel like an old friend even though this was my first time. I ate way too much, it was all so good. The sea bass was possibly the best fish I have ever eaten. The house made salted caramel ice cream was heavenly. Highly recommend.
Everything was great. The reason I gave them a four and a five is because service was very slow, at least that night. Definitely worth checking out
Sitting outside, overlooking the marina is very pleasant. The food is nothing special and the service was mediocre. It took 20 minutes for someone to come light our firepit. We ordered the Frites with jalapeño aioli and the aioli had absolutely no flavor. Mind you, the fries were just excellent themselves (with ketchup), but when we suggested to the server that the aioli was not jalapeño she was incredulous. After some coaxing, she returned it to the kitchen and found out it was, indeed incorrect. By this time, we had already finished our frites but 10 minutes later, another server came by and brought us new aioli. How strange, No idea what they wanted us to do with it. Anyway - all-in-all, just an average meal. Nothing to write home about.
The entire meal was so incredibly lovely! The service was wonderful and charming! But the food was one enjoyable surprise after another! The garlic Frites was a wonderful start to our meal followed by a garden salad with a Delicious champagne vinaigrette. We were told the corn soup was exquisite! My orzotto with grilled scallops was maximum, elegant comfort food and my husband's grilled sea bass cooked beautifully. The warm strawberry-rhubarb bread pudding is not to be missed. Such a lovely way to end a meal.
It’s just okay. Service not attentive at all. Had to seek out servers. Food was good but that’s not difficult to find in LA at these prices.
Truth be told, we really only go here because we like the view and get to sit outside. The food is not "bad" per se, but it is, at best, bland. I expect more from a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton. At the very least, I expect them to have a higher quality kid's meal than Kraft Mac n Cheese. On the other hand the pool-side restaurant is actually quite good in comparison.
The service was pretty good and our server was attentive. We'll be back, but again really because of the location more than the food experience.
Great date night place to sit by the water and enjoy a beautiful dinner by the marina! Wonderful service and divine cuisine! Overall, a wonderful experience and
Retreat by the sea!
Great food and great experience! Perfect for special occasions and date nights.
If you love boats, perfect restaurant to have lunch here. Ambience is amazing with all those luxury yacht in front of the restaurant.
The interior dinning space is less of a restaurant and more of an extension of the hotel lobby that's geared toward the bar experience or large groups at the expense of the individual dining experience. The outdoor space looked nice from the inside. I wouldn't consider going back here unless I definitely had reservations to sit outside.
The food was solid, but the atmosphere made it hard to appreciate.
Great location. We went for my wife’s birthday and she wanted to sit outside by the fireplace places. Gorgeous view great service. Good food. The only downside is our area was messy and sticky and the couch was worn and had rips. Though we were there for the view. Also the website has outdated drinks and food but the bartender stepped up and tried to offer something similar. Plus they had a car charging system and valet was great. I recommend
We had a last minute date night and Cast & Plow did not disappoint.
We had a lovely experience dining on the patio. They were accommodating to our early arrival, the service was attentive but not rushed, and the Bloody Mary was delicious. We will definitely visit again.
I would expect this to be a 5 star restaurant considering it’s part of the Ritz Carlton. The server was not knowledgeable, which makes her appear unprofessional. She was friendly. The Ritz Carlton has set standards worldwide for excellent customer service and that is why I choose to dine at this restaurant. Unfortunately, I was not impressed.
Despite the rave reviews in the local listing - HORRIBLE SERVICE - the waiter disappeared after the appetizer and the burger was raw (even though I asked for medium rare). They charge for parking even after you spend $75 for one person for lunch. What a nightmare. Avoid this place at all costs. The great ratings must be paid for - because they are NOT true.
Fantastic food quality, so fresh with a nice farm to table experience. The view cannot be beat.
The service wasn’t great , we waited a long time for even water . When asked about the menu or the items on the menu the waiter didn’t know much .
Nice place but ther service was slow. Food was good but a bit overpriced.
The waitress was fantastic and even talked us through an earthquake that happened while we were there! Food was amazing, we'd definitely come back here or recommend it to other people.
Cast & Plow is where we have gone to spend our wedding anniversary for several years. We enjoy the inventive, fresh, and delicious food, though a bit heavy on the cream sauces. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere has always been California casual with a sense of elegance. It is always comfortable dining and the views of the marina are beautiful to watch, especially as the sun is setting.
Outstanding menu selections. Wonderful wine selections. Gracious but attentive service.
Waitress was the best
Will be back
Great marina views, fresh food- kind of pricey but they have a happy hour.
The food was AMAZING! Definitely recommend: Fries, Tomato & Burrata salad, Fried Green Tomato sandwich and Creme brulee!
Service and food was excellent. The sea bass was cooked perfectly. There was a nice selection of wines. I would go back again.
The only reason I did not rate all 5* is bc menu is limited I would have liked to have more seafood salad choices perhaps a fresh fish or chef special...
The staff excellent it was a quiet relaxing afternoon lunch probably bc June gloom persisted
every time I go here it takes forever to get seated (even with reservation), long time to get food.
Love the view and good quality. But need to work on the birthday cake and it’s presentation. It was a big let down and not the fault of the waitress who did a great job
