Food was very poor. I ordered the tortellini which was definitely not cooked fresh and in fact tasted like it was cooked from frozen. The sauce also tasted like it came from a jar. My boyfriend ordered the carbonara which was essentially cream and pasta with very little taste. Will not be returning
Very good service
Amazing food! Lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back!
Always have a wonderful experience whenever my girlfriend and I visit.
The staff are always friendly and greet us warmly when we come in for food.
The service last Saturday was excellent and the food was prepared in a timely manner. We were not waiting long for it and as always it was delicious.
It was so nice to get back in for food felt like a life time ago we were last in for food.
The only thing to note and it was no fault of the staff nor was it something that damped the evening was that we had to move from our table as the staff needed to access the circuit breakers which were situated behind us due to the power going out.
We were promptly asked if we would like to be moved to another table and we were moved with ease.
Caverna is always somewhere I would recommend to friends and it is my go to restaurant in Dublin, no matter how many times I eat there I never tire of the place.
Thank you to the staff for another wonderful experience, welcome back as well.
Looking forward to booking in again soon :)
Really good service and even better food.
Perfect time, perfect price and nice service.
Really homey and good value for money. A good, varied wine list as well
The food was amazing and the staff were lovely!
The food wasn’t outstanding, that being said service was excellent and the downstairs area is perfect for a large group. A huge thanks!
Service was ok. One employee (from Poland) was very full of energy. The food was delicious. The Bolognese with fresh spaghetti, spicy marinara with fresh spaghetti and the calzone were enjoyed by our group. All very tasty!
Service was amazing, food was good, plenty of options to choose from. If you are looking for a quiet place with good food in the Temple Bar area this is a nice option.
Went here for Valentine's day and the meal was great value and food was delicious. We had the table for two hours but were not rushed when that time was up. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and everything arrived in good time. I will definitely be going here again.
Very warm welcome. Staff were all very nice. Food was very good. Setting is very nice.
This is a great spot in city center.
The staff is so welcoming and friendly.
The service and food was really great.
Would definitely return.
What an amazing night we had. The food and wine were exceptional. Next time I am in Dublin, I will definitely be making reservations here again.
Very nice food very full after
Lovely food and amazing customer service!! All the staff were fabulous 😀
Great stop as always! Monika always such a great Host!
My wife and I have not eaten in this restaurant for perhaps a year, but I'm delighted that it hasn't lost it's charm. For a restaurant in Dublin's busy Temple Bar it still has a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food is excellent and the staff attentive but not intrusive. We had starters, main and dessert with a 34 euro bottle of wine and the total bill was 106 euro. I thought this was great value food considering the location. Wine is expensive in the majority of Irish restaurants. We will definitely be back.
Servicio excelente. Platos muy generosos y bien cocinados. Ambiente agradable. Genial!
Nice selection of veggie and vegan options as well as meaty ones. Substantial wine list, friendly service, an excellent way to spend Christmas Eve.
Nice ambience here in spite of quite cramped basement space. The rib eye steak was excellent, as was the pepper sauce which came with it.
First time at the restaurant and would definitely go back. Very friendly staff, from front desk to floor staff. Liked the menu - good range of proper Italian fare (and pizzas of course if that’s your thing). Our party included a vegan and there was a full page of vegan options which is not the norm for an Italian restaurant (or for most restaurants tbh). My daughter had the vegan lasagne and really liked it. I tasted it and from a meat eaters perspective it was actually very tasty. Rest of party really enjoyed their starters and mains. Didn’t have desserts or wine so can’t comment on those. Nice atmosphere, good service and feels far removed from where it is (i.e. in the heart of temple bar).
Food was amazing, staff were brilliant, I'll definitely be back, thank you
Cheap and Cheerful, mains were tasty wine glasses were dirty
Overcooked prawns in a rubbery pasta didn’t thrill the palate
Love this Italian hidden away in Temple Bar. The food is fresh and amazing taste. Great menu choice and excellent wine list. The service is always excellent. We will be back.
Always a pleasure to dine here!
I was in Dublin for few days on the BH week-end in October. I don’t remember the last time that I had such a terrible experience.
The FOOD was terrible, we took a dish with guacamole sauce and there wasn’t any guacamole sauce the waiter didn’t even apologize. The SERVICE was terrible as well... the east European lady was really funny and we had a pleasant conversation but for all the rest was a complete NO experience.
Both Pasta Main courses were nice, Carbonara and a salmon dish however the starters left a lot to be desired. One was calamari, which wasn't tender and was served over-cooked and the prawn starter was quite tasteless, served with a central mound of rice (?) and peppers scattered around it.
The waiting staff were very polite and attentive, however, we won't be returning for the food.
Lighting in the main dinning room reminds you of a dinner
Absolutely, one of the best retaurant we visited in Dublin. The hostess, Monica, is terrific. She really made the dinner special. The food was fabulous! Great place
We were seated in the lower area (cavern), the food was outstanding! Service was great! They offer a vegan menu as well. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Great service.. Looked after our big group very well.. Food was A1... Thanks a million..
We were a big group of over twenty. I was a bit worried because it was cultural day and every restaurant was full of ppl. Moreover i reserved from Korea just by online. However, we enjoyed best italian menu without any unexpected events. Food was wonderful, atmosphere was very warm and noise level was much less than surrounding restaurant near the Temple bar. We had a semiclosed space in 2nd floor. Monica, the main manager, was very friendly, helpful and professional in every aspect. I was really impressed and definitely recommend this restaurant, especially you are organizing a large group.
Lovely food and lovely staff! We were a party of 14 and the food all came out together and in a good time. I really couldn't fault it!
We had a lovely anniversary meal here. Service was great and staff all v friendly. Great selection of starters and main courses and also good value. We ordered a dessert to share, found desserts to be a bit over-priced compared to other places we have been. 10euro for a few scoops of ice-cream?
Overall we had a lovely meal and would recommend.
Wonderful experience, food and wine were all excellent!!
Great time while visiting Dublin. Wait staff were very friendly and portions were BIG!
