Cedar Street Grille
Always great food, never disappoints!
Great food, reasonably priced, great service. Small bar area is crowded and tight , but drinks are good.
We sat in the bar area and it was like a friendly neighborhood bar should be.
Split the fried chicken and it was good. Loved the Vermont Mac and cheese.
I would recommend CSG based on one visit!
If you have not been......it’s a must try. We go all the time and have NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. We go for the small plates and enjoy sitting on the bar side.
1st time visiting Cedar Street Grille. Will definitely be back!
Alway delicious! Sliders are so yummy! It's always what we expect! Our favorite place.
Had a really delicious meal at Cedar Street Grille this past Friday. The cheese plate they brought back was fabulous...hope they keep it on the menu! 3 small plates was more than enough food for the two of us, and we ended up taking some home. Decent beer/wine selection. Server was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going back again!
We were seated a little earlier than our reservation time which was nice. Some dishes were spot on, others were not great. The fried chicken was over battered and over cooked. The tuna sushi was just ok and the slaw on the pork sliders was not good. Service was fair at best.
Our first time here. Enjoyed the meals. Would definitely recommend the shirt ribs! Our server Barbara was very in tune with our needs. We will be back.
Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The small plates were a perfect size for sharing and the food was great! The bar area had a wonderful cozy ambiance. Definitely recommend!
Cedar Street Grille is our favorite meeting point with CT friends. We have fun trying a variety of small plates that are creative and yummy across the board. The best part about Cedar Street is Barbara. She is wonderful in every way and she should be server of the year if there is such an honor. Barbara, thanks for being so awesome and thanks to everyone who works at Cedar Street - you are all great at what you do.
Great service, great food, highly recommend this restaurant as the best in Sturbridge.
Good selection of options for lunch. Waitress was very courteous. Food arrived in a timely manner and very appetizing.
It was really good, somewhere between 4and 5
Great option in Sturbridge for locals and visitors. Sat at high top which we feel is a great choice there... near the bar but still comfortable. Fried goat cheese and the crazy dates are terrific starters. Salmon also good. Wine options are limited and mostly standard restaurant:bar fare. Service was very good and attentive even though restaurant was full.
I picked this restaurant because of the reviews and as a half way point to meet m daughter. I made a reservation and the hostess put us at a small table against a wall that was very dark and there was no lighting at the table. I was not happy and asked to be moved, they wouldn't even though the restaurant was not busy.... I picked the monte cristo sandwich with the fries. The prosciutto became really dry and chewy when grilled and so it was really like French toast with just cheese- not very impressive for $13.50. The fries were good, but were little tiny pieces, like the stuff that is at the end of the bag. Our server was very attentive and pleasant, but not enough to make me drive 44 miles each way and want to ever go back.
It was a birthday
This restaurant was amazing! The food was phenomenal (my boyfriend had me try the oysters, which were delicious) and very accommodating of my gluten allergy. Even though it is a small space, I did not feel like I was crammed into other patrons, nor was I talking over anyone else. A perfect date spot!
every time we have been there there has been a problem with the unexplained charges for the drinks we order. The server states one thing and the manager on duty tells another, about the extra charge on drinks. Once it’s they had to open a bottle of tonic for one of the drinks and the other time they and to and ice to the drinks.
One last thing I was served a drink that I didn’t order and was told after I had finished it.
Reservation is always on time, no extended waiting. Nice atmosphere. Angry Claims and Parm and asparagus risotto are favorites. They are always happy to accommodate when possible on the menu. We go there several times a month. By far our favorite restaurant. Parking is tight and there are several reserved spots across the street, but dangerous to cross in the dark - could use a lite cross walk.
Great atmosphere, server was friendly and attentive. Food was super delicious, we tried the small plates and there were so many good options! The house made hummus was a great starter too!
Just awesome food. We had the squash risotto with scallops. Just devine! Great ambiance. Any time we are near Sturbridge it's the place to go.
Best trout dish I have ever had. The bread pudding was outstanding. There was one group there that did not seem to realize they were indoors and were very loud. This is my only complaint.
ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES! Never a bad plate & always great service!
Excellent food and service. We arrived early and they were able to seat us quickly. The people were fantastic. The drinks were delicious and the food was wonderful!
Wait person was amazing! Very good food. My only disappointment was being seated near the bar in a very loud area. Had trouble hearing. I'll have to remember that and request for seating in a different room next time. Thank you!
Our family enjoyed a very pleasant brunch at Cedar Street Grille recently. Everyone on the staff was warm, welcoming and excellent at their work. You can tell they take pride in the place and what they do! The food was well prepared and not "run of the mill" so we were very pleased with our total experience.
This was our first time in Sturbridge and I asked the receptionist for a recommendation to a restaurant. We were extremely happy with the service and food. We will definitely go back when we are in the area again
Cedar Street Grille has upped its game in recent years. The food is now reliably excellent, and sometimes outstanding (e.g., bacon wrapped scallops with cheese; whole branzino). It's a neighborhood gem, with a large and varied menu and pretty good wine list. The noise level is okay but could be better. Definitely the best overall restaurant in Sturbridge.
Fantastic service, great food, highly recommended!!
Food was to salty and was not what I expected. Quality needs to improve. More gluten free options
This is our favorite fall/winter restaurant in Sturbridge area
The pumpkin risotto and angry clams are fantastic
Always attentive, kind service and great drinks
Tables too close together, small dining area. Food was tasty but way overpriced for portions. Party of 4 was not impressed
Good food. We both idea the brunch special frittata which was excellent.
Server did not rush us which was perfect since we only meet every 2/3 months
We love Cedar Street Grill and eat there every few months or so. This time my salmon was a little dry...
We were but were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive, but not too attentive. The service was great and the small plates and my dinner were all outstanding. The lighting was a little dark for my old watery eyes, but I saw younger folks than myself using the flashlight mode on their iphones to see the menu, so I don't feel so bad.
We have been there several times. The food is delicious haven’t had a meal that hasn’t been devoured. From the small plates to the specials, the desserts and drinks you’ll find lots to enjoy!
Our server as well as the food was outstanding.
Our night did start of disappointing, considering we made reservations several days in advance. We were a party of 2 women, and despite many empty tables, the hostess chose to see us right under the kitchen service window. I am scheduled to return to the area several times in the coming year, and will chose to sample other restaurants before returning to Cedar Street.
