We love Indian food at chai ki , service is also very good and staff is friendly
It should be made clear to customers that customers who sit in the restaurant have a set meal rather than those at the front of the restaurant. Limited options for vegans.
Good vegetarian food. Especially loved the curry leaf aloo!
Good food and service - great alternative to a typical Indian restaurant. Don’t expect standard poppadoms, korma and vindaloo - it’s much better than that.....
Good fresh flavours
The bad side was that in the restaurant you cannot order from the bar menu - which has some great dishes - and instead only the restaurant menu which doesn’t seem very flexible. We ordered drinks which arrived after our food - and 2 out of 3 were wrong... the up side was that the food was exquisite. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Definitely recommend for a yummy meal, but the menu is quite limited so do check it out before you book!
Always good but this time they stepped it up a notch. Service was fantastic and I cannot fault the food which was as innovtive and tasty as ever. Its fast becoming my favourite Indian restaurant in London and my go to place to take clients visiting London. Should be going for a Michelin star imo.
Food is amazing here, will definitely have your taste buds going.
Perfect evening for some good food
It was a good experience for my friends who had come for the first time!
However for me as I had been there before I found Malai kofta bit dry this time☹️
Fantastic restaurant and great atmosphere. We accidentally booked the restaurant rather then bar area for tapas however the staff accommodated for us which was very kind. The food was amazing and will definitely be returning ASAP.
Go for the toddy shop - the street food menu is much better than the restaurant menu
I like this restaurant and is my 4th visit. Whilst I consider the main coursed to be a little on the expensive side the flavours and quality of the food are really good.
We enjoyed our experience here and had two new people with us who had not been before and they liked it.
I would highly recommend and will be returning.
Food and service was very good
I wasn't impressed with the set menu 2 courses for £18. For what we got it was a rip off. The service was a little disappointing as well. We waited a while to be served, despite us being the first in the restaurant.
A very nice experience at Chai Ki and would go back again! The food was lovely, staff were friendly and considerate. We were a group booking of 11 and service was not compromised.
Really good food, and the lunch set menu had a variety of great dishes at a very reasonable price. Recommended and will return again.
Amazing food and great service. I can’t fault this place one bit!
Food was amazing! Best dining experience by far, could not fault a thing! Ordered a mixture of starters and the butter chicken for main- absolutely delicious!
Shame they have changed the big restaurant arrangements with different menus.
Excellent tasty food but it is pricey for the large plates for the amount there was.
We had the Butter chicken which was delicious but only 4 pieces of meat.
It was a Great offer for G+T - £5 on tuesday.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff.
Killer food! Absolutely delicious. The only thing stopping this place from getting a Michelin mention is the service (shame!)
Pity that actually all the waiting staff wanted to do was sell us expensive cocktails and wine by the glass and not focus on the food as the main area of interest. Why overcharge customers in search of a good south indian experience?
Absolutely amazing place. Food was 5* Service was 5*. Especially the head waiter (Hwan). Perfect Evening. Chai Ki - 5*
Lovely food and perfect for gluten allergy! They label all the food and lots on the menu is suitable. Would definitely go again.
Poor Indian food with a limited menu and quite overpriced for what it was.
The prawns with coconut sauce is absolutely delicious and the butter chicken! You just want to eat more more more!
My husband and I had dinner here for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. Some of the best Indian food I have tasted.
There was an option of a feast menu which or normal menu and we opted for the normal menue. We had 3 small dishes, 2 large dishes and 2 sides as well as a drink and this came in at £70. Good value for money.
Add more indian spices and please increase portiom size esp of rotis
Good modern Indian cuisine in the midst of Canary Wharf. The service was very good but the ambience could be better. Some light background music with a bit of “Indianess” may go some way to improve the ambience.
Friendly staff and great food! Very busy at lunch time so book in advance.
The food here is consistently divine! We ordered the Seekh Kebab, Butter Chicken and Dhal Fry and rice and safe to say, we cleaned up all our plates.
I have been to Chai Ki a number of times and it never disappoints. Whilst it is pricy, the food is so good so we go here as often as possible. It's great for casual meet ups and special occassions alike. We introduced two friends who really enjoyed the food too.
We've received exceptionally delicious food served by friendly staff for a very reasonable price. The location is excellent for a business lunch as the restaurant is located in the middle of Canary Wharf.
Great Food and best interior, menu had great twist to the usual Indian food. Taste was top class. We liked it very much we ordered extra Naan to eat all the sauce
Great food. The pulled pork was great and juicy as always but the idli was surprisingly good too!
I went for a work lunch. Menu is small but there was some nice options. Also very reasonable priced. we paid £21 per person for 3 courses.
Only slight down side, our waiter finished his shift before the end of our meal and we were forgotten abuot for a while. we had to request our desserts were served as it had been a while.
Been here twice now. Food is very good, and service attentive and friendly. It’s a busy place and not quiet but that doesn’t affect the quality of the food or the speed of service. Will definitely be coming here again.
The restaurant and the food is very nice. We had this one waiter who was so lovely and really catering to our needs.
However, I went there with a 2 year old, being In Canary Wharf you would not expect to see any children there, but this place was not child friendly.
I wanted to order a portion of chips for my daughter and was told I could not as it is their ‘policy’ that food from the bar cannot be served in the restaurant, I then asked If I could order the Chicken Tikka from the set menu, to which the waiter said no, you have to order the set menu if you wish to order the Chicken Tikka (Set menu for a 2 year old!)
My 2 year old has been to many places with us to eat and I have never felt so restricted. Their policies did put a dampener on the day.
I never felt like I had to ask what I can order and what I cannot before going to a restaurant but thanks to Chai Ki it will be a question asked before confirming any future bookings.
Lovely ambience. Would definitely be visiting again!
A bit overpriced, but the food was nice and the service was good. The benches were too low for the tables, but otherwise a nice restaurant.
