HIGHCHAIRS, PRAMS & BUGGIES
We have designated tables for high chairs in our Toddy Shop Bar only, subject to availability. Lunchtimes are busy so we recommend contacting us in advance so we can note your requirements. Due to limited space we kindly request that all prams, buggies, scooters or similar are left at reception for safe keeping.
Good food but on the pricey end. Staff were attentive.
Food was very tasteful and good size portions highly recommend
I had a lunch reservation for the four of us, including my 60+ mother. When we arrived we had to wait for 10-15 minutes and then the waitress took us over to the seating which were table stools. We informed her it was unsuitable for my mother, she made no attempt to find us a table with chairs.
We left!!!
Disappointed as we had travel out just to visit the restaurant!
Delicious food. Good service. Cold beer. Highly recommended.
Great location and great food, would definitely go back.
We tried a few small dishes and every one was so tasty. Slightly slow service with cocktails which ended up coming out after our food arrived, but they were also tasty!
Food is always incredible and so quick to come out. We were let down by the service, having to ask for water 3 times and then struggling to get the bill.
It was really great food for reasonable prices!
Service was lovely. Food was great. Would definitely come again
Food was Amazing and outstanding and the staff always ready to get you what you wanted very helpful
Food tasted good, i was hungry soo that’s probably why, the burger was nice but too much sauce. Konkan was nice but rice potion was small. LOVED the calamari again small potion. Service was good.
Slow service, although waiters were around. I have been here 3 times and portions have dramatically reduced and in tase too. We were asked several times if we were finished (I would understand if the place was heaving and they had bookings, but not the case). Let down.
excellent service - we had not informed the restaurant that we would be bringing children so a high table and stools were origianlly allocated. they managed low table to us with minimal wait and fuss even though they were very busy.
The toddy shop has a slightly more casual atmosphere and there are high bar stool seating available. The menu is very similar to the restaurant. Service was good but drinks took a little while to arrive. Good, as always was consistent with previous visits with lightly spiced calamari, sweet and sticky Himalayan ribs and burnt chilli chicken. A go to restaurant in the wharf.
The hakka paneer and bun farcha were great, would like more halal dishes on the menu. The chicken wings cooked well but lacking in flavour. Would of liked an option of less creamy curry. Went with family (8 year old and 4 year old and 14 month baby) need to reserve for high chair. The mocktails were not good, again lacking flavour. Service was not as attentive considering we are paying a service charge, and they did give us the wrong bill (£40 cheaper!) but I pointed out their mistake. There was not a long wait for our food which is a blessing when your with kids.
The restaurant does get busy but we were comfortable, I would go again for the bun farcha and hakka paneer.
Great food full of flavour and lovely ambience as usual.
End of exam celebration, great food, great service
The food here is always excellent quality as well as great value for money. The staff are always super helpful and pleasant.
I have been to Chai Ki quite a few times now. There is no issue in the food quality or taste but the staff are very pushy. They will come and collect your plates even when you are eating, just so they can push you out and make way for others.
I work in Hospitality myself and I know its a business and the whole intention is to make more and more money but this shouldn’t be at cost of spoiling the fun for a set of customers to make way for others.
Great diversity of asian food. Well presented and good quality. Great value for money. I have been there three times now.
I was sat upstairs with my wife and a group of friends which was nice as it had a sense of privacy. The waitress checked on us a few times to make sure that we had everything we need and she was also discreet at the same time.
The food as always tasted great.
Service this time was poor - we took our extended family that was visiting us from US this round.
No one cared to ask/help us with our jackets, sat at the table for 15-20mins waiting for someone to get us a glass of tapwater, when asked about allergens (my sister in law is allergic to egg) - instead of running around would be great to have an allergies card to see which dishes are safe to consume rather than waiting for the manager to check with the kitchen and then revert. Overall did not enjoy our dining experience this visit, including same feedback from our guests. Food and drinks were - but service was below par. We love Chai Ki, hoping this is a one off experience!
This place is amazing, great food, great drinks, to a good price. Good noise level and good atmosphere. Nice staff.
Food excellent as ususual but the experience marred, again, by overly zealous service. Twice had to stop waiting staff removing almost finished dishes and we were just too slow to stop my companion''s plate being removed, leaving me to finish my meal eating alone. A passing comment when paying the bill led to the manager coming to resolve and apologise. Ironically he too was so task focused that bounced up to the table and talked over us, not even waiting for a pause in the conversation let alone to be invited to join us. One more try then despite the food, I will give up.
Fabulous food and great value for money. One of our favourite restaurants
good food. Restaurant very noisy so probably good for larger groups
great food, service is always good, nice casual setting but the option of the restaurant for more formal occasions
Still #1 in London - form me
Very limited menu (unrecognisable to most Indians), overpriced for what you get, not particularly authentic
Good Indian tapas in the Toddy Bar.... It is all about sharing and trying new things i.e. the jackfruit surprisingly was extremely good!!!
Used to be a favourite in the Wharf. Previously ive rated as 5 stars but last few times food has been poor. Did not taste fresh- like yesterdays food reheated in microwave. Ribs warm and rubbery, salad and veg limp chilli chicken tasteless, burnt ginger rice was totally bland. Service not great. We were left with lots of empty plates on the table for a long time. When i asked the waiter to clear some he looked at me like id just insulted his mother. Im sad to say that after many years as a favourite lunch spot for both business and pleasure this will be my last.
Great food as always. I took a friend for breakfast who was visiting from Birmingham and she loved it too.
Omelette is always yummy but personally I find it has a tad too much oil so improvement could be made but In the meantime I still order it!
Love the place and the food but the attitude around table turnover and slightly pushy attitude from the more senior restaurant staff is a bit disappointing and dulls the overall experience.
Loved it. Great food, really fresh & interesting flavours. The only downside was the staff had very limited knowledge of what a vegan eats & recommended calamari & paneer, perhaps a training session needed.
Good Indian style food, good value for money. Enjoyed dinner there.
Greate food and Excellent service.
Great dinner made
Our daughters birthday special by giving her a lovely slice of chocolate cake and
Ice cream. Will definitely return.
Thanks Chaki Ki
Great food. Sort of expensive but I think it’s a fine dining so sort of justified. I wish they wouldn’t charge for the dips and pickled salads. Seems a bit unfair.
Overall, amazing ambience and food. Would recommend and go there again!
Great service and food as always. The booking via Open Table went smoothly with no issues.
Great food as always and highly recommend for tapas style meal
