The setting was lovely and staff were friendly however the portion was very small, I had to wait 10 mins for milk for my tea, there was egg shell in my sandwich and a hair in one of the small cakes. Overall not worth the price, I would have been furious had I paid full price and not used an itison vouchers.

Service was appalling, chips came out 10 mins before the rest of the meal, at which point we ended up eating the main part of the meal without the accompaniment…asked for some water and was given a warm glass of tap water without even any ice. Asked for the bill three times as the lady waiting our table was also doing room service and kept forgetting about us. There was a wedding at the venue at the same time and there were drunk guests everywhere, spilling into the bar any restaurant

Food was very good. Excellent service from our waiter. But very disappointed that most of the reasonably priced Champagne bottles were unavailable. For a Champagne bar this was ridiculous. No standard bottles of Moet ! Don't think it's good enough.

The quality of afternoon was the poorest it’s been in a long time as what was a regular customer. The coffee tasted burnt and I was unable to drink it. There was plenty space however we were all sat next to each other.

Overall pretty good although the quantity of the sandwich filling was poor. The cucumber in the cucumber and cream cheese sandwich must have been cut with a mandolin as it was wafer thin. This booking was a gift so I was grateful but if I had paid normal price of £25 pp I would have been so disappointed as I do not consider it value for money with the sandwich content being so sparse. Four poorly filled small finger sandwiches, two scones and three small cakes does not justify £25. Sorry but have had better for less cost.

This was one of the worse afternoon tea ...sandwiches were on white bread,and were tasteless,scones were cold ...it was my friends 65 and my 70 and due to look down was the first time we were out the Raddison beats you,and so does many others and are cheaper.

The venue is nice and after we arrived the tea room became quite busy. We sat for a while before someone took our order but the waitress was very polite. After that the champagne arrived quickly. We had to ask for our tea however as it did not arrive with our food. The sandwiches were a bit disappointing as there was little filling in most of them. However the scones were superb as were most of the cakes. We had received this as a gift and overall enjoyed our afternoon.

They didn’t give us the glass of fizz we were to get that came with the voucher so had to ask for it then we waited over an hour for a bottle of Prosecco we had ordered.

The service wasn’t great to be honest. Training needed in how to serve food and answer questions on the menu. The waitress wasn’t even sure if she had to charge for water! We weren’t very impressed at the bar area, tables unclean and not enough people serving. Not sure we’ll be back. Lots of potential but an expensive day out for sub standard service and atmosphere.

Absolutely the meanest afternoon tea ever. No resemblance to photos . Tiny amount of sandwich fillings, supermarket scones and the smallest pieces of cake I’ve ever seen. I suppose they are to congratulated on cutting a chocolate cake into inch size pieces as they also did with the vanilla slice but this was just taking advantage of people wanting afternoon tea in a special setting. I bought it as a treat…very disappointed. Staff were lovely though .

Very basic afternoon tea which was disappointing. It would have been nice to have been asked if our food was ok. Not much atmosphere.

Really lovely afternoon tea. Staff really pleasant and attentive. Could have eaten more sandwiches and cakes, comparing it to other city centre afternoon tea places it was lacking a couple extra bites. But lovely none the less.

Waited 30 minutes to receive any tea and 45 minutes before receiving Prosecco after trying to get the attention of the waiting staff various times. Food was lovely and came right away but hesitant to start eating while waiting for a drink for so long. Place was quiet when we arrived, as it begun to get busier it was as thought we had been forgotten about. One of the last to be served despite being first to arrive. Cocktails, food and Prosecco where lovely. Service was poor despite being plenty of staff available. Would return but would be hopeful of a better service.

Service and staff were lovely. I asked for a bday message on plate and they wrote it and it was great. Food was average at best. Did not seem home made. Not worth the money. Teas/ coffees were free refills which I had to confirm with a second waitress after the first told me they weren't. Mocha was lovely. No diabetic options even though I told them well in advance sadly

The setting is lovely but this is the most disappointing afternoon tea. Sandwiches unedible. Scones dry and 3 tiny cakes. Sorry but cannot recommend this afternoon tea.

The food was lovely however the service not so much. The table was booked for 2.30pm. We arrived at 2.15 and the hotess told us to come back at half past, fair enough. We went a walk and came back 10 mins later, I knew we were still early but said to the girl just to let you know that's us back we are just sitting over there waiting. The girl replied and said thats fine but you will need to come back up to the front bang on half past as "I won't remember you are sitting there like I have enough to remember if that makes sense so if you could just come up bang on 2.30 that would be fantastic". So then at 2.30pm we waited were we were suppose to wait and the girl was no where to be seen. It then gets to 2.40 and only then we are being seated to our table. We then got our afternoon tea and all was fine however I had to ask 3 separate waitresses for 2 glasses of prosecco included in our deal. We literally waited 40 mins on 2 glasses of prosecco. By the time we got the prosecco we had finished our afternoon tea. It was a lovely place but there just didn't seem to be enough staff, very disappointing. We were wanting to stay for cocktails afterwards however the service very much put us off. The waitresses we had were lovely but it just did not flow like it should have and they seemed to be very short staffed. Waiting for 2 glasses of prosecco for 40 mins is ridiculous.

I took my mum here for a belated mother's Day afternoon tea, the service was really poor, we got one cup of coffee and then no one came near us for the rest of our time there. I had to approach the desk at the entrance to request more drinks. Sadly not what we expected from such a lovely venue. Thankfully it was an itison voucher so felt relieved I hadn't paid full price.

We had pre booked and asked for vegetarian sandwiches, this was not conveyed to the kitchen as we were served meat sandwiches twice. The waitress removed our cake stand after 30 mins and a set of light behind us exploded which led to some smoke.

Beautiful venue and fantastic food. Surprised to see that staff was wearing jeans. I expected to see them dressed in more formal attire. My table had a cloth napkin and coasters under it in order to keep it level and stable which definitely did not match the grandeur of the venue.
