For those feeling peckish, food is fine, flavoursome, and focuses on small plates and sharing boards. Afternoon tea has a special place on the menu and is – of course – best taken with a glass of Champagne. Breakfast is also served in Champagne Central, for residents and non-residents alike.

Had a very nice afternoon tea.Food was lovely and a very nice selection.
When we arrived there was absolutely no atmosphere!
Our tea and coffee was stone cold.
I had to ask for fresh hot tea! Also had to ask for a third cream for the scones as there was 3 of us.
Waited ages for Prosecco on 2 separate occasions and had to ask if I could get a cappuccino as nobody came over to see if we needed anything else! I had asked if possible to get a birthday balloon and they kindly organised that for me.
Not the best afternoon tea I have had!
They lost our booking i think as there was a delay getting seated then instead of an afternoon tea for 4 we got one for 2 initially. That was rectified to be fair. The sandwiches were stale but the cakes were nice. I won't rush back
Loved the bar so much! Really enjoyed having champagne with my hubs!!
Didn’t have food but drink service appalling. Waited 50 minutes for cocktails and one was still wrong. Next round I asked for a gin on the menu - unavailable. Then a different one - apparently unavailable but when I ordered a third one it arrived with the second apparently unavailable one
Absolute shambles from start to finish. Asked to speak to a manager who arrived oozing attitude, not in the slightest apologetic and quite frankly so rude and defensive ! Served by at least 6 different people in an effort to get a drink
Never again! What a nightmare in a seemingly upmarket establishment- or at least the prices lead you to believe that is the case.
I love going to the champagne bar always great atmosphere and staff are very friendly
Lovely afternoon tea good quality & lovely atmosphere.
Afternoon tea for two, great value as was food was good, great service- friendly and attentive. Lovely setting would definitely go back.
Fabulous afternoon tea, and fantastic customer service, couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
The bread and scones were not as fresh as they might have been, at £25 a head I expected better
Had a poor experience - Having asked twice for a Gluten-free afternoon tea, I was brought a normal one. I was subsequently brought a GF version, only to find that the scones were not fresh (brick hard) and there were no gf cakes, so I had 4 choc covered strawberries instead!! Not good value and not a great experience, won't go back as there are plenty of other places in Glasgow offering better.
Setting was lovely and the staff were attentive and polite. Thought the afternoon tea itself was poor and definitely not good value for money. I'd visit again but perhaps just for drinks next time.
Disappointed at the amount of sandwiches on offer, I would prefer more of these and less cakes
It was a lovely afternoon tea and the service was good, would highly recommend it.
I had taken afternoon tea at Champagne Central on several occasions, with a Living Social voucher, prior to the 2020 lockdown and always enjoyed the experience. This time, having told my son how good it was, I was really disappointed. The price had increased from £22 to £25 for the 2 for 1 voucher, which I didn't mind. The service was very slow, we had finished two cups of coffee and tea long before the food arrived. The manager was apologetic, but two of the three waiting staff appeared inexperienced and quite nervous, preferring to congregate behind the bar area rather than interact with customers. When the food finally arrived once again I was disappointed. Considering the price increase, the amount of food on offer was rather less than I had been served on earlier visits. If Champagne Central consider this good value at a full price of £25 pp, they are way off beam. This buys you 4 finger sandwiches, 4 scones with 2 wee jars of jam, but only one carton of cream and 4 tiny pieces of cake, which were no more than a mouthful, 2 coffees and 2 teas. Had I been paying full price for the measly portions I would have complained, but having a half price voucher, felt I had no recourse. Needless to say I will not be going back.
Toilets are a bit of a trek but overall the Afternoon tea was nice, would have liked to been offered another tea as pot only served one cup. Wine a bit pricey but expected, atmosphere was good and never felt pressured to leave table. Would go again
Lovely historic setting but the food let it down. I took my mother for afternoon tea, the sandwiches were super small and rather tasteless and we were given clotted cream in a tub which was awful. All other venues I have been to for afternoon tea serve freshly made cream. I was left rather disappointed with this afternoon tea.
I was celebrating my birthday and we were all given a glass of bubbly. Very thoughtful and a lovely touch
Booked for 9pm drinks on a Saturday night. Decor and ambience is great. Service was extremely slow, we had two rounds of drinks and had to chase up both rounds due to the length of the wait.
Very poor service, waited 20 mins before asking someone to take our order then about another 25 for a drinks to appear so didn’t order anymore as was so disappointed.
Service extremely poor. Waited 40 min for our drinks order, then incorrect drinks delivered.
Air conditioning not working therefore extremely warm and uncomfortable experience.
Therefore unfortunately would not recommend.
The ambiance is always on point. Friendly staff & delicious drinks. The Champagne Bar is always the 1st stop for night out with the girls or going out for dinner.
We had a lovely afternoon at Champagne Central. The service was good and the afternoon tea was lovely.
Great place ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
Astounded getting asked to give a review after having to forgo my reservation as they refused my wowcher code. I have in the past used the codes no problem so for this visit to Glasgow I purchased another on July 8th. My reservation was on 13th August arrived and the girl said she was aware I had a voucher code but then said they had stopped taking them 31st July. I questioned this and asked why they are still to this day being offered on Wowcher, no one could answer even when I asked the same question to the Duty Manager of the hotel Stuart. I asked if it could be honoured on this occasion but Stuart refused. I was amazed at a time when the hospitality industry is meant to be in dire straits nothing could be done. We were with friends staying at the hotel with one voucher to be used so basically another afternoon tea would have been bought for two people at a cost of £45, we were intending on buying a bottle of prosecco say that would be about £30, then we would have a couple if cocktails each so approx £80 then a couple of beers for each of the men a further £20, so there is a £175 lost in takings. Maybe the Central hotel thinks this is nothing but for four pensioners it's a lot of money but worth it if you enjoy the service and the surroundings. It did dampen our day when we were celebrating that our friends had become grandparents again. Just disappointed that no one could offer any solution and I dare say we wont be the last with these codes still be offered online so no doubt there will still be a few disappointed customers getting their day spoiled.
Our order was mixed up with another table a few times. Staff were lovely though and did apologies. Drink delish. Food ok. Would still come back as the friendliness of the staff made it a lovely evening.
Champagne central over all a lovely place for a few drinks,
Staff are fantastic, drinks are well priced
Lovely setting and a nice busy atmosphere. Drinks were quite slow to arrive and not as good as they had been in a previous visit. Still nice and would still recommend
We didn’t have food but served one drink in an hour. It wasn’t busy and service was painfully slow
Fabulous venue for drinks and bite to eat. Beautiful decor, wonderfully attentive staff. A real treat.
Good welcome and excellent service.
This was a beautiful way to start our afternoon. The staff were really lovely and attentive. Such gorgeous surroundings which were comfortable as well as beautiful. I would highly recommend a visit.
It was a nice experience but I did not find this to be value for money. I was initially overcharged and luckily noticed before leaving.
We were 5 mins after booking time and venue phoned to say our table would go in another 5 minutes. Venue not very busy so seemed overkill. Particularly as we have been asked by all venues not to come early to avoid queues
Service was a tad slow and the measures were small for the price
Very pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. Lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes for afternoon tea.
A very pleasant experience all round.
Lovely place with lovely staff. Just had some nibbles to accompany champagne but very tasty. One little niggle was that it was quite warm with no air flow.
We were booked for CHAMPAGNE afternoon tea?? Still waiting on the champagne. DISSAPOINTED!!
No matter when we go to champagne Central always get great service and drinks. My favourite bar for cocktails
