The A la Carte menu changes weekly and since dishes are cooked freshly to order modifications due to dietary requirements are not a problem. We use top quality locally-sourced ingredients and our impressive wine cellar compliments the quality of the food. Crisp white table linen, polished silver, flattering candlelight and unobtrusive background music provide the basis for intimate romance or smart business alike.
The hole experience was a pleasure. Very friendly but not overpowering. No rush and in those surrounding it was very relaxing
Fabulous food and service
Excellent food and service, staff very friendly, will book again
Top quality food and a wide variety of wines to choose from. All in all a lovely evening
The food is excellent along with the service and very friendly staff
Amazing setting, couldn’t of asked for more choice for either food or wine list. Would highly recommend
Incredible food in a gorgeous setting. Everything we had was delicious and the team were attentive and friendly. A fantastic place for a special meal or celebration.
Our first visit and we really enjoyed the whole evening . Very good food and service . A relaxed experience from start to finish . We hope to return again soon
Excellent food; attentive friendly staff; a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
We had a fabulous meal, it really was amazing. The staff looked after us throughout the meal. We couldn't ask for more. I would definitely recommend.
We have been meaning to come here for a while. We were impressed with the whole evening. We stated in the drawing room to look over the menu and have a pre meal drink. We made our orders and were then lead to the atmospheric dining room. We were given a taster soup before our main meal.
The attention to detail in the quailty of the food is what you always hope for and seldom get.
This is a small and friendly team, who know what they are doing.
After the meal the chef came and had a chat and talked about locally sourced and seasonal produce used. We have booked to return in April to celebrate a big birthday with all the family. After discussing our desires, within 48 hours an emailed proposal has been sent and included detailed with had not considered.
We have no hesitation in recommending this and whilst it is not cheap, I do not consider this expensive.
Delicious meal, delightful hosts as usual
Another fantastic night with amazing food . Second visit
This restaurant's excellent food and wine together with it's appealing setting somewhat let down by clunky service including a 20minute wait for the bill when only 12 other diners nearing the end of their meals still present, lack of information as to accompaniments to main courses and the cheese board, and a slightly lackadaisical attitude regarding attitude to customer's needs....as well as a somewhat patronising response to a request for a steak knife....but the food, though not faultless being as the risotto starter was somewhat disappointing, was in general superbly cooked and presented. We could not recommend without provisos as to the slightly turgid ambience and dilatory service....but certainly could wholeheartedly recommend the food.
This wasn’t our first visit but was as enjoyable as ever. We love the food and the ambience. Always a lovely evening.
outstanding as ever!!!!
Only being 300yards from home this makes it even better
Have been meaning to try this often recommended restaurant for a while. I was very glad i did, the food was excellent, the service faultless and the atmosphere relaxing. I have already booked up again! It is a hidden gem in the Midlands.
Very friendly staff, the food is excellent and well presented.
Service was very friendly, and the food was excellent. Worth a visit.
Amazing choice of food, and excellent presentation and yummy-ness. Richard a brilliant chef, and Siobhan as wonderful host as ever. Highly recommended.
We have frequented this restaurant over a number of years and it has never disappointed us once and it continues to deliver quality of food and service, and importantly, a most welcoming approach. We had a milestone celebration at this restaurant and all of our guests absolutely loved the high quality of food, service and friendly approach this family run business offered.
superb food and only 300yards from home !!! result
Friends of ours recommended Chapel House, we're so glad they did. Excellent service and a lovely menu. For main course we had the lamb and the fillet steak.. neither of us were disappointed. Excellent value for money.
Lovely meal, wonderful ambience. Finished off by the chef coming out to meet us. We’ll be back 👍🏾
Excellent from the minute we wicked in and were offered a drink in the cosy lounge . Young man waiting on tables and greeting customers was friendly and well mannered deserving of a special mention. The owners one of who was the chef came and spoke to us as well a nice touch . Perfect birthday treat
We had a fantastic night for our Wedding Anniversary. Every dish was exquisite and the attention to detail is second to none. Great freshly cooked food in a lovely venue. Thank you x
very pleased with meal definitely will return.llllllllllllllllll
We visit Chapel House frequently and we always have a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and you always leave feeling as if you have had a fine dining experience. Wonderful for a special occasion .
This was our third time at chapel house. From starter to main food was excellent.would recommend this restaurant .
We are always made welcome there is a wonderful ambieance and the foods
Not dab either
This is our second visit to Chapel House and both times have been amazing. The food, the staff/owners, the setting its all amazing we chose to take advantage of their rooms too and our breakfast in the morning was just as good as the food the night before
we booked for a special occasion and had an overnight stay, the room was tasteful in decor and very clean. the owners are vrey friendly and having dined here many years ago, prior to them buying the business, we were hopeful that the standard had remained, we need not have worried. our dinner was suberb. we had crab & mushroom crepes and pheasant en croute to start, and both had the lamb as main and it was cooked to perfection and beautifully served. we didnt really have room for puddings but managed to fit in small amount! the service is excellent and a really nice touch is when we ordered coffee and liqueurs, they were brought to the table by Richard, chef and owner who is willing to stay and have a chat with guests. we will definately be visisting again. they have event evenings which look interesting too. visiting the Chapel house makes a nice change from modern. noisy, run of the mill restaurants
Went to Chapel House with my wife to celebrate our anniversary.
Great food, lovely location and a wonderful time.
Hard to believe that his was our first time at Chapel House despite it being only 15 minutes for home.
Will definitely be heading back again soon.
We booked a table for 4 for the occasion of my birthday and we all enjoyed the really tasty food. 3 of us had steak which was very juicy and the venison was sublime. We only had room for 2 courses. One of our party is wheat intolerant and as I had advised them beforehand there was a menu already prepared with the choices that were available and the changes the chef was prepared to make to accommodate this dietary requirement. The young staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. There were only a few other diners but it did not matter as the room was small and cosy and we didn't feel rushed at all. I think it is a really nice touch when the chef comes over to ask if everything was ok. Overall a special venue for a special occasion.
We had a really great evening celebrating my wife's birthday.
The good was top notch and special mention to the mushroom and goats cheese starter, the fillet steak and sticky toffee pudding each with its own twist.
Great evening, will return :)
My dining partner and I have been traveling the Midlands looking for quality evenings out, rated by ambiance, food and service. As far as the quality of food, and ambiance, this place is very good. However, the senior member of staff who (fails) to greet you can seem rude and off putting, abrupt and not the sort of person who encourages positive feedback. This was more than made up for by the younger staff and the Host who appeared with the desserts.
The short answer to the situation is that there are better places to eat, but the location, quality of food and price make it an attractive alternative to others further afield.
The hotel looks very apealling however, and if you were making a full night of it, probably a much better option
So you wake up in the morning and your wife says Happy Anniversary. Ever had that sinking feeling and realisation you had completely forgot. The remedy for such an occasion is the Chapel House. I booked online after reading good reviews and it was situated only down the road. My wife says its the best romantic evening we have spent together for years. There was only a few diners on a Thursday night so all the more romantic. The food was amazing, cant say anymore really. The service was first class and everyone was polite and cheerful. Would definitely recommend for that special occasion or just a nice meal out with someone special.
Five starters or puddings. A great change and a good way to sample Richard's cooking varieties. Good wine and good value.
Very nice food served with a welcoming ambiance. friendly family run business and we will definitely go again.
Excellent evening, waitress attentive without being intrusive. Food was very good, decent size portions all all delicious. The venison was cooked to perfection.
