Chapter One is an award-winning Modern European restaurant with 3 AA Rosettes in Orpington, Kent. Following a major refurbishment in early 2019, Chapter One has relaunched with a more modern approach, tempting guests with greater variety and quality.

Under the direction of acclaimed chef Andrew McLeish, modern European cooking is available in two formats. In the Restaurant, sophisticated seasonal dishes are served in a refined setting with a weekly changing 3-course Lunch Menu du Jour, a seasonally-inspired 7-course Tasting Menu and an a la carte option. In the more informal Brasserie, a selection of favourites are cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients. The drinks offering is as exciting with an AA Notable Wine List, premium spirits, and cocktails. There is also a private dining room for corporate and private occasions.

The restaurant did not honour the offer on Chapter One Bromley internet sight. Have there many times before. Very poor treatment to a regular customer over the years. Made a very poor excuse that it was my fault.

During your recent visit, you wished to take advantage of an Autumn Offer we had advertised in 2019. Unfortunately, that promotion is no longer available, as it was a limited-time offer from five years ago. Currently, we do not have any promotions listed on our website. Our floor manager attempted to explain this at the time of your visit, but we understand you decided to leave instead. We truly value your custom and hope to welcome you back to Chapter One in the future. We often run new promotions throughout the year, and we'd love for you to enjoy them when they are available.

Lovely decor and ambience with super attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Worth paying that little bit extra for the quality of the overall dining experience. We would definitely go back

Always a treat to eat at Chapter One. Service is friendly and attentive and the food is always so good. We had the halibut with brown shrimp, leeks and gnocchi, it was delicious.

A lovely night out for a special occasion Staff had expertise as well as personality Attentive without being ingratiating Excellent choice of dishes which consistently exceeded expectations We were nearly the last to leave and were not made to feel rushed at all All in all a hard act to follow

We used to be almost regulars at this restaurant. It was a special place for special meals. For a time it seemed to gather the wrong crowd. But I have to say. Our Anniversary dinner was fantastic. Fabulous, helpful service, amazing food. And virtually full. Congratulations to the management in making this place “The Place” again
