We love the cosy ambiance at Charlottes. It's Good food, but small portions so don't go too hungry! This time there were some supply issues so there were no sides and the cheeseboard was very disappointing. But we do like the place and live locally so we will be back.

I took my mum for Mothers Day and thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambience and the service was semi ok as we had a long wait for our courses and were not impressed when a table of 3 people who came in after us got their courses served before us that we actually considered leaving. I did not say anything as it was Mothers Day so did not want to spoil the mood or our lunch. Aside from that I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

It was a busy mothering Sunday and Charlotte's Place had clearly never seen this many customers at 5pm on a Sunday. They struggled a bit to cope and some of our dishes came out a bit cold but the food itself was delicious and the manager did an outstanding job to make us feel welcome and to look after us. A fantastic place to spend time and eat well.

Very disappointed by the length of time waiting for food although we were offered a free glass of wine and free desert in compensation for the delays. This was so much in contrast with Charlotte's in Chiswick where I usually go. I had tried Ealing Common restaurant again after many years of avoidance because of failing standards only to find it was still no better!
On the plus side our starters and roast beef mains were very good, as was the wine. Not worth the wait though!

An enjoyable meal but the desserts were too “clever” (read: small) and the beer selection is pretty poor.

Not everyone wants or can drink wine so more than two beer choices must be possible given the space presumably utilised for the enormous wine list.

We sat upstairs - the ambiance was good but the windows could have done with a good deep clean and maybe scraping the paint off the window panes as well - it looks a bit too “aged”.

There was also a tread panel loose on one of the wooden stairs - not very safe so it does seem like no-one is looking at the small details that you’d expect in a restaurant of this caliber. Downstairs one of the toilet seats was broken.

Overall, good food, service and ambiance. Sort out the puddings, beer and maintenance though.

Food was very good. Our first visit and we shall be returning. The venue is small and intimate which is perfect for a special occasion. I believe there is an upstairs room for larger functions. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Must try the Goats Cheese Souffle.

The food was very tasty and well-prepared but the portions were very sparse so it didn't seem good value. The service was overly attentive so it was hard to relax. They were putting a lot of effort in but somehow it didn't work.

This was our friends’ first visit and they were impressed. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were well judged.

Our waiter, Vito, was very enthusiastic and friendly. His wine recommendation was spot on.

The restaurant was encouragingly busy, considering the time of year. Perhaps because of this, the service was fairly slow.

Disappointing food- first course was OK but the main course was bland & the cheese option - no choice of cheese so I got 2 (tiny!) pieces of cheese I didn’t like, was supposed to be with homemade oatcakes but was with thin toast. My friend requested chicken with no garlic but was still strongly flavoured with garlic. The beef main course was swimming in sauce but still bland. Overpriced for very average food. Ambience in restaurant good & charming waiter but you go out to a restaurant mainly for the food!

The whole experience was good but it was disappointing the fact that they took £50 deposit from my card when instead they told they wouldn't have done that, so at the end it was all confusing when we had to pay for the bill.

Great restaurant. Had a special evening with family on a trip back to London from Sydney. Excellent food (really first rate), friendly service and lovely atmosphere in restaurant. Great for a treat and we could not have been made more welcome. Always great to experience real pride in the food being served as well......justifiably so! I will definitely be back in the future.

What a lovely restaurant with superb service and excellent food. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented and delight to the senses. In particular, The goats milk soufflé was so decadent and light that it melted in the mouth. We were so pleased to have picked this place for our Christmas Eve dinner. It was just prefect !

Our first visit. Menu exciting and food glorious. A cold December lunchtime - food and room could have been warmer. Background music a bit intrusive and could have been mellower. And 'our most popular wine' had run out. (If it's so popular, why not stock more of it?) But a lovely, comfortable place with smiley, helpful staff.

Friendly welcome, restaurant felt a bit spartan but plenty of room and very comfortable chairs. Menu was quite inventive, a delicious haddock starter although portions of some dishes were rather small and not all of the food was piping hot.

A good value early dining offer was available, good wine recommendations for each course too.
