Food was fresh and delicious! Service was great!
Thank you for a much needed trip out of the house!
We attended during Phase 2 of Covid19 restrictions. The staff was cautious and competent. The food was spectacular and atmosphere was relaxing. I imagine it is awesome under any conditions.
Wonderful to be back at the Chesapeake Inn! Tommy at the upstairs bar is the best! Food was amazing.
Great sushi as an app, awesome dinner w lobster Mac and cheese, super fast. Sweet view of the boats. Thanks
We simply have never had a bed experience at Ches Inn. The food, service and ambiance is incomparable to anything in the area. Such a terrific environment and vibe regardless if you are celebrating your anniversary, birthday, wedding reception or just hanging out enjoying the live music on the deck grabbing a burger. It's a favorite indeed.
Brought my wife here for her __ th birthday (a smart husband never tells) - the meal was exceptional. First, the entire interior of the dining room has been completely remodeled, and it is gorgeous. And they have a new chef and she is sending out scrumptious food from her kitchen. To start we had salads, which are always unique and delicious combinations. My wife had the watermelon and arugula with lime vinaigrette, and I had burrata with grilled peaches with spring greens. Both were outstanding! A new menu offering, Steam Pots, features mussels or clams steamed in a choice of 4 different sauces. We chose the clams in Mediterranean sauce, and they were delicious. The clams were tender and grit free, and we used every piece of bread at the table to sop up that sauce... Our entrees were grilled shrimp and scallop skewers for my wife, broiled halibut for me, and both were accompanied by lemon pea risotto and asparagus. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the risotto was outstanding! Our biggest regret was we ran out of room for desserts... Darrell, our server, was the perfect host and provided excellent customer service. We’ve dined with him before, and we look forward to dining with him again! This restaurant was the jewel of Cecil county before the renovations. It’s now the restaurant to go to for best decor, best food, best service, best view, and they have valet parking! What more do you want for a magnificent dining experience on the C&D canal?!
Reservations are a must, of course, as this is a very popular venue. And, you want excellent service so, that’s all you need to do & everything else will fall right into place.
limited menu. People not adhering to the mask policy.
I always enjoy dining in this place. Best place ever to hangout.
The waitstaff was very nice and our table was ready when we arrived. I would recommend Chesapeake Inn Restaurant.
This was our best experience in the dining room at Chesapeake Inn. Our food was perfect! (Sushi and the Perfect 10)
Another wonderful evening of impeccable service from Julie. Food was excellent, view spectacular as always. Have never had a bad experience here.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the food was fantastic, and our server did an excellent job making sure that everything was enjoyable.
Beautiful remodel and decor! Our service was amazing the food was great!!
Brunch left us feeling hungry and annoyed. My creme brûlée french toast came with a squirt of ready-whip and a pool of syrupy blueberries. My daughter’s avocado toast had little to no avocado. In fact the toast was simply just smeared lightly with it and then sprinkled with crab meat and a few halves tomatoes. Both were entries that could be stars if only they were given some effort. To top it off the fire alarm went off in the middle of service and everyone acted like it was just a normal thing. At least we know it works and is extra loud.
From the moment you walk into our business it is our responsibility to give you the best possible experience. Yesterday was our first brunch since opening back up from covid. We did experience a few growing pains with new staff instituting the new menu and portion sizes. We have addressed the issue internally after brunch yesterday. In the future please don't hesitate to ask for our manager on duty to rectify any issue with your experience. Thank you for your support!
When we arrived they weren’t valeting and cars . They told us we could pay to park in their parking lot across the street . So why am I paying for parking to dine at your establishment and park my own car ? It was only $5 but it’s the point things like that are expediting when you’re dining in a large city but not here to park your own car seems ridiculous . Not only that but I am also pregnant there were plenty of spots that were on actual parking lot open but they told us to park all the way at the end in the mud . I’m pregnant and I certainly don’t mind walking but it was ridiculous to make a pregnant lady with a toddler park in the mud. We are frequent visitors if the inn most recently we have been dining outside bc we roll up on our boat and it’s more casual . The server was polite and accommodating , the service itself was a little slow and the inside didn’t appear to be very busy . The food was excellent and the sushi came out in a timely manner .
I was a bit disappointed because the restaurant didn’t have their full menu. If they opened their doors for service I just think that when it comes to the food part everything should’ve been available.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. With our reopening from the covid closure and the uncertainty of guests dining inside we have resorted to a limited menu for the time being. Every week we are adding to that menu as things hopefully begin to get back to normal. Unfortunately part of the issue is the supply chain is out of stock on multiple items every day from our major vendors. So until things improve on that level you will notice more and more restaurants running limited menus.
It was great to dine in after the shut down because of the pandemic. It was a limited menu because the shut down. The food was great. The prices are fair. It is nice to go for inside dining.
Everything and everyone was was great. Really enjoyed ourselves. Food was delicious.
Loved sitting out on the terrace. The food was very good and the service was good. Looking forward to our next visit. Only disappointment was no lamb chops on menu but understand that we are going through a “hard time”. New female chef and liked that the plates were not overflowing with food. Nice size portions.
Loved the crab cakes and the sushi! So good! Definitely will go again!
We sat on the terrace and it was beautiful! They closed the canopy while we ate which was unfortunate as the sun was glorious! I guess to make one customer happy you have to make another customer not so happy, but the food made up for it!
Beautiful people. Great food. Unbelievable views.
The service took forever to get drinks and and the food. Many food options they ran out of it super early in the evening. The food did not taste good for the price
First day back of dining inside since Covid outbreak. Establishment took all necessary precautions and made you feel safe and all sanitary conditions met. Food was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. Would recommend.
Sushi is back! Had a great meal. New decor is refreshing and relaxing. Server was attentive and friendly. Can't wait to return.
Well done Chesapeake Inn The day after indoor dining was allowed we RESERVED for INDOOR SEATING for lunch. At first I was disappointed we were not on the First Come basis deck but later delighted we had not been. We had a prime window seat table on second floor overlooking the busy busy busy deck throngs. Our server Peyton was Excellent ! I added a Crab Cake to-my salad ($12 extra) but it was big and meaty. We were cool and comfortable and SAFE. We were visiting from Philly which only one day prior allowed outdoor dining not indoor. We watched all servers, deck or i side, wear masks, sanitize tables and chairs in between customers...and Peyton even sanitized our credit card and pen.
We had a lot of fun watching the action below on the deck and docks. We can’t wait for a return visit.
I had lunch with an old friend are serving Peyton was attentive and followed coronavirus 19 protocols for serving and delivering our food… Lots of boats on the water beautiful experience to look out at clean windows to see the boats up and down the canal.
Atmosphere is relaxing and decor is amazing. The food was out of this world! Our waitress Elaine was phenomenal!
The restaurant has been remodeled very nicely. Service was friendly and professional. The food was very good.
Very good food and service
Pleasantly surprised ! The inn did a beautiful renovation on the interior restaurant. A contemporary feel of water and flair. Food was very good and wait staff pleasant and professional. Music on the newly decorated bar area was fabulous. We’ll be back !
We had the tuna poke and it was bitter. We both had GI issues afterward. Service was slightly off and waitress disappeared from time to time. Tim the manager seemed like someone who didn’t really want to hear your complaints. Sadly we won’t be back for a long time if ever.
We went for Sunday brunch and it was quite nice, there wasn’t much going on in the town but it was worth the drive to have such a nice time with our guests
Love the food. The view is amazing. Highly recommend!
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
The food was excellent but the service was a little off.
We ordered 4 dishes, 2 apps and 2 entrees, and all 4 were fantastic! The dining room manager and our server Victoria were incredibly friendly and attentive. Just an overall great experience!
Great food and exceptional service
