The Chesapeake Inn is the place for everyone. After a complete renovation in January 2020, the Main Dining Room boasts a beautiful waterfront view, along with a great bar scene, some great liquid therapy cocktails and an outdoor Terrace for dining. The menu features jumbo lump crab cakes, fresh seafood specials, prime steaks, and shareable options. The Deck is our casual area featuring brick oven pizzas, salads, pressed sandwiches and Live entertainment. Dining room is open year round. Deck is open weekends, Nov-March / 7 days a week April-Oct. This was our first dining experience here and it did not disappoint! We loved the food and atmosphere and plan to return to try more new things from the menu.

and both were very good with nice sides. Service was also good.

We had a great seat over looking the harbor, great food, great drinks....we couldn't ask for more.
The view and the service were great. The food was bland and the furnishings are dated, but we still had a nice time...and will give it another try in the future.

Food is always delicious! I have been hesitant to go out as Covid numbers rise, however Chesapeake Inn had done a great job of spacing tables out, and everything was clean. It was great to get out to dinner like a normal person and have a wonderful meal!

My husband and I had dinner here on New Year's Eve which was also our wedding anniversary. We made a reservation after hearing how great the food is. You did not disappoint! Our server was pleasant and gave excellent recommendations. (I forget her name). We sat our in the covered deck area which was beautiful. We had drinks, crab bisque soup, crab ravioli, and seafood penne. Everything was amazing! We will be back:) We can't wait to dine in the warmer weather above the water!

New Year’s Eve dinner
Server was attentive, quite efficient and very accommodating to our needs. Food was served hot and prepared as ordered. An overall good experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal and pleasant service too.
Excellent choice for a date night or special occasion. they have redesigned the dining room to the mitigation guidelines for the Pandemic.
The food is consistently excellent and provides very good value for the cost. The ambiance and view of the Marina Harbor and canal is hard to beat.
Food was delicious! Decor was beautiful for the holidays. Elaine was the best waitress I ever had! Super sweet and made sure we always had drinks and everything we needed.

Had a lovely a delicious meal with a great view of the water! Our waitress Diana was wonderful and all of the staff members we encountered were so nice and pleasant. The restaurant was not very crowded, sadly due to covid, but they did a great job with having diners spaced out, wearing masks, cleaning up, etc.
It was disappointing. They were out of an appetizer we wanted, we weren't offered bread and the food was just okay. Service was okay but they left dishes on the table instead of removing them when we were done. Favorite menu items from previous visits were no longer available.
I was looking for a nice restaurant for Christmas get together. Chesapeake Inn was within driving distance so decided to try it. This is the second year we have been there. Everything is great!
Great meal and service! We had a wide array of dishes: oysters, swordfish, crab cakes and filet! Everything was delicious!
Great ambiance and the best Oysters Rockefeller I've ever had. The marina is just beautiful at this time of year with many of the boats lit for the holidays.

During COVID, we have only been to ONE indoor-seating restaurant for fear of getting sick. The Chesapeake Inn Restaurant assured us we could be safe while eating. We indeed felt safe and enjoyed a lovely meal with a lovely server (Kacie). It was worth it and we will return when we visit Chesapeake City again.
Great food as usual, service was okay -- server had too many tables, but was pleasant when she was at our table.

Excellent dinner: however, I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran and walking up and down the high steps w/o a handrail was difficult - would be beneficial to all to see these modernized. Understand there is an elevator. Nevertheless, we will return.
