Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Cheshire's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
We shared the focaccia bread to start which was delicious, nice and fresh with a drizzle of good quality olive oil. I had the braised beef shoulder which again was very tasty with the Parmesan chips, I would definitely get that again. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was nice but not the best I’ve had. Overall a lovely meal and I would go back again. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Based in the quaint village of Culcheth in the heart of Cheshire, The Pit Smokehouse stands out like an ostrich in a chicken farm. Amongst the churches and rolling fields, with endless heards of sheep, stands a building which looks and feels like it has come straight out of Texas. Along with the food inside, you wont find meat and tastes like this outside the USA. You can accompany the great flavours of our meat by guzzling down a few of our American beers or cocktails. However do be warned, the people of Culcheth will be out in force with pitchforks and flaming torches at the slightest bit of disturbance in their tranquil village.More
