Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Everything was really well organised
A great Sunday lunch, most enjoyable.
Great wedding anniversary dinner. Fantastic food and service.
Busy night at Chez Bruce, even on a Wednesday. Delicious food as usual. Not quite the exceptional service as per previous visits, but still better than most other places.
One starter didn’t come with GF bread as requested, so took a little while to toast some fresh bread. Then a drink ordered to go with the starter took a long time to arrive, almost as we finished them......some problem with the bottle apparently.
Three delicious courses as usual - impeccable food as always.
This is our favourite restaurant. Incredible food and perfect service, without being at all stuffy. Love it.
Delightful evening thanks to tempting menu, helpful and informed guidance on wine list, thoughtful service. We all relished our menu choices and both the blood orange and Aperol apperitifs and the wine were delicious.
Restaurant with a great reputation, more than lived up to this. Superb quality food, lovely ambiance great service. Highly recommended
Awesome local place. Great service, delicious food!
Beautiful food and perfect service. We had a lunchtime meal and enjoyed fishcakes, kidneys, pork belly and more! We weren't rushed and had a comfortable and enjoyable lunch.
4 hours flew by, excellent and friendly service throughout, brilliant food. A great birthday evening.
Very professional and attentive service. The two people who looked after us were very good and attentive. Food was ok, nothing special. The vegetarian options were poor.
We went on a Tuesday evening and had a very decent meal, although it wasn't as good as I had expected based on the rave reviews this place always receives. The combinations were slightly too predictable (albeit it superbly executed) and the tasting menu could do with a bit of fresh inspiration.
Chez Bruce rarely disappoints and our most recent Saturday lunch there was absolutely amazing. It's certainly not a restaurant you would go to every week or even every month - but if you have something to celebrate or are looking to treat yourselves it is the perfect place. The food is on another level to anywhere else we've been - and believe me, we have been to many good restaurants in London and across Europe
Thoroughly recommended. Been going for ten years and will certainly continue to visit Chez Bruce.
This restaurant was on my go to one day list why did I wait so long.
Ticks all the boxes in every respect will be going back soon
Where do I begin ?
Starting from the coat check, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our lovely table. By careful consultation we were assisted by a lovely Polish sommelier, whom recommendations and knowledge helped a lot.
Food was outstanding. Foie grad and cote du boeuf is a must !
We love this restaurant, been many times, but this time the four of us had a table in the window. OK, but a bit squashed in and it meant all the service had to be reached across in front of me. Quite disturbing.
Wonderful lunch. Haven’t been for years and had forgotten how lovely it is. Will be back soon.
From the moment we arrived we were treated in such a warm friendly and professional manner.
The food was excellent and Liam was particularly helpful and all in all a great Sunday lunch.
We went for lunch on Saturday. Nice number of people in the restaurant at the time. Great service, superb food. Can't wait till next time.
Perfect Sunday lunch to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday.
Perfect evening with great service and food. As always amazing cheese board.
Fantastic lunch for 4. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff, super food and an excellent wine list. Very easy to get to from Central London. We took the train to Wandsworth Common from Victoria (10 mins) and it is less than a 5 minute walk from there.
Absolutely first class in every respect.
First visited Chez Bruce in 1997 with colleagues shortly after leaving London for a job in Cornwall - always vowed to come back!
Dinner on Thursday with my wife and our daughter and her fiancé. What a great restaurant !
Everything about the evening was great from the moment I was allowed in with my Wellingtons that I had tramped around a frozen London all day - I subsequently noted I didn't spend a lot of time inspecting other diners footwear but thank you !
Good cocktails, really great food and great wine. Cheeseboard not visited but looked upon enviously. Service attentive but not obtrusive - a fine balance perfectly executed. All in our party want to return. Thank you and sorry its taken a while to get back.
Amazing experience from beginning to end. We come here every year for our anniversary dinner.
Set price for three courses, good wide choice, about 10 per course. All the dishes we had were of an exceptional standard, well presented and totally yummy.
Service was awesome, welcoming, attentive all night long, very cheerful and helpful with suggestions/recommendations, one suggestion being the tarte tatin for two which wasn't on the menu, which blew our taste buds away, wow!
An extensive wine list, so much choice, from very affordable to the bottles for special occasions. Lots available by the glass or half bottle, we sampled three types, all good.
I can't fault this place, we come every year because we love it, makes our anniversary very special.
We've been to Chez Bruce several times now, and it's always our go-to for special occasions. It's always such a wonderful experience. The food and service is fabulous, and even though it has a Michelan star, it still have a neighbourhood restaurant feel to it.
Solid cooking in an upmarket but not snobbish environment. Gin cured mackerel was a particular highlight, as was the skate with puy lentils. Wine was outstanding and looked to be generally good value. Service was attentive and friendly with the exception of the po faced maître d'.
I do wish they'd take heed of the majority of reviews that report annoyance with the incessant filling of wine glasses. Also tables so close that your chair may touch that of a neighboring table.
Chez Bruce has never failed to impress. Fantastic food and wine selection, excellent service, fine dining of modern elegance.
amazing resturant. Lovely food and atmosphere and their staff go above and beyound xx
This was my second visit to the restaurant and absolutely lived up to expectations. The food was delicious and the service was superb and unobtrusive. The lunchtime menu offers an excellent choice and provides very good value. I shall certainly come again.
Chez Bruce ticks all boxes. From the attentive service to the delicious food, the experience is first class.
Outstanding!. The flavours in every dish we had were incredible as was the creativity of ingredients and presentation. Service could not have been better. Huge wine list to suit all tastes and budgets.
We eat out very regularly and we're struggling to remember a better dining experience.
Superbly tasty food and a relaxed stylish warm atmosphere
An amazing meal with fabulous service. Chez Bruce goes straight into the chart at number 1 for us on London Restaurants.
This is one of our favourite restaurants not just because of the high quality food but also the friendly staff who get everything just right.
Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in London- thank you for a fine lunch and great service
Nigh on perfect as ever
I have been a number of times before and I found this time the service to be surprisingly slow .The food was good but no real wow factor . What was particularly disappointing was the rhubarb trifle which was overly sweet and I have had better at kids birthday parties. One of our party complained of his over salted fish course. So only a 3 star review.
Food was delicious and looked gorgeous on the plates when they came out. Staff were more than happy to accommodate and help out with gluten free options as well. Took us a while to get a reservation but definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend Chez Bruce
