At Chez Bruce we are not particularly into gadgets and tricks in the kitchen. Home-made charcuterie, slow cooked braises, offal, warm and cold salads, classical desserts and bread-making could be listed as specialities. We also take the cheese board very seriously indeed and it forms an integral part of the restaurant's day-to-day life.
The Directors of the restaurant are fanatical wine-lovers and are very proud of the restaurant's wine list which truly is one of the very best in the UK.
Exceptional food and great value.
As usual, year after year we had the most perfect evening at Chez Bruce -thank you!
Lovely lunch as always.
A favourite for lunch. Inventive seasonal food which looks too good to eat. Wonderful service.
Loved it. Every dish we ordered was close to sublime. What a treat.
Wonderful, again! Mark Hampson
Lovely evening and everything was great
Amazing food, fantastic service, and lovely special touches for my wife’s birthday.
Lovely place, fantastic and creative food. For the quality of the food, the set menu is great value too.
Sublime as always. This is my favourite London restaurant- always an absolute treat!
Excellent as always. Staff always remember us. Remember about my nut allergy.
Chez Bruce is always great. We had great suggestions from the sommelier, really good half bottle range
This is the perfect restaurant. Utterly charming and very special. The food is outstanding. Wine list is expensive but thoughtfully chosen. We return for years to come!
outstanding as always. Hard to think of a better London restaurant on quality of meal vs cost
This was our third time at Chez Bruce and as ever it didn't disappoint. We had a wonderful three course meal, the service was impeccable, the food not too fussy, but beautiful and delicious. It's always quiet enough to have a decent conversation but has plenty of atmosphere. Cannot fault it.
Another excellent meal at Chez Bruce, all the choices were very good as was the service. It did get a bit noisy when the restaurant filled up.
Fantastic in every department.....as always!
We had a few life events to celebrate and Chez Bruce never fails to deliver. We all enjoyed amazing food and finished with the infamous cheese board. Lots of surprise treats along the way; including non stop fresh bread, exquisite Parmesan crisps and melt in the mouth truffles. My only negative is that there could be more vegetarian choices. I'm a pescatarian so can also eat fish, but for a true veggie there is only ever one main course which is a shame.
Absolutely delcious, very rich, and lovely wine recommendation, thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you!
We keep going back as it's so good. Wonderful food and impeccable service. The lunch menu is particularly good value.
I have been looking forward to going to chez Bruce for a long time and I wasn't disappointed. I went for lunch with a friend and asked the waiter to advise on the food and the sommelier on the wine. We had a small carafe of white and red which was just the right amount at lunchtime and it was perfectly matched with the food. All in all a great experience and I will be back for more.
As ever, Chez Bruce didn't disappoint! A lovely meal - took a foodie friend who also enjoyed it immensely. High quality food, thoughtfully prepared with a good choice. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Came in at around £100 per head with a cocktail each, mid-range bottle of wine and 3 courses. I do like the way Chez Bruce put new ideas around classical French food - innovative rather than experimental, which is very appealing. Havent had anything other than good experiences at this restaurant after around 5 visits in 3 years. They achieve a commendable standard consistently.
Another great experience at Chez Bruce with wonderful food, staff and ambience. Thank you!
I would be lying if i said this was my first, second or third time for Lunch at Chez Bruce. Its a regular event for my board of directors board meeting and wedding anniversary.
I cannot speak highly enough of the food, staff and overall feel.
We love Chez Bruce and have been many times. The food is always excellent, and the service very attentive. Unfortunately the table we were given felt like a corridor and was extremely noisy next to a rowdy table. Also disappointed the Creme Brûlée had been taken off the menu.
This was our 5th anniversary lunch and just what we wanted. You're very well looked after with very attentive staff but it is not stuffy. The staff gave us good recommendations and a really nice suprise was a free dessert with the plate saying happy anniversary.
We've been meaning to dine at Chez Bruce for ages... and in the main it didn't disappoint. Stunning food, Lobster Raviolo was incredible! The only thing was that we felt the service was a little distant and impersonal, other than the lovely lady that welcomed us and served us cheese, incredibly knowledgeably, the rest of the staff seemed far from delighted to be there to be honest!
Excellent service and fantastic food.
Outstanding as always. Fabulous service and an honour to meet Bruce.
Delicious as always!
Excellent - that sums it all up !! Three of us dined at the restaurant & all throughly enjoyed. No complaints - and even better - empty plates 😜
Had a great time, we are not local but it is our choice for special occasions and worth travelling to.
Always enjoy it.
We try and come every year to celebrate a joint birthday and always have a fantastic evening. Service is exceptional, the food sensational with a wide choice, and the ambience is perfect. A particular highlight is always the cheese board!
Consistently excellent restaurant.
Food was very good. Wine selection excellent. Service efficient. Table for 2 disappointing. Stuck in the corner with one chair facing into the corner. Think squeezing in extra tables.
I never order roast potatoes because they are never as good as my own but I risked it on Sunday and I’m glad that I did... these were sublime! Everything else was also absolutely delicious with terrific service.
A gem of a restaurant. Chic, cool and understated!
As Wonderful as last weeks visit
A very enjoyable evening in a lovely atmosphere - excellent food and excellent service. Highly recommend.
We went for my birthday lunch and had a lovely time. We all loved our starters and puddings but where all disappointed with our main course. That said we ordered the same dish so did not try others. The pork looked anaemic and undercooked and the roast potatoes were soggy. Ewverything else we ate was outstanding and the staff truly charming.
We also went with our children aged 13 & 11 yrs who are very adventurous eaters and they were blown away.
