At Chez Bruce we are not particularly into gadgets and tricks in the kitchen. Home-made charcuterie, slow cooked braises, offal, warm and cold salads, classical desserts and bread-making could be listed as specialities. We also take the cheese board very seriously indeed and it forms an integral part of the restaurant's day-to-day life.
The Directors of the restaurant are fanatical wine-lovers and are very proud of the restaurant's wine list which truly is one of the very best in the UK.
Always outstanding food and service. Lamb Pot-au-feu was delicious!
Absolutely fantastic meal with great service. Made to feel very welcome. The wine recommendation was superb too. A brilliant choice as a special occasion restaurant!
Absolutely fantastic! Food, wine and service! Would definitely recommend.
Excellent as always, service not as good as usual. But restaurant was very busy .
Brilliant as always.
Amazing food but I feel the service has slipped slightly from previous times we’ve been. Wasn’t as friendly and accommodating as previous visits. The food continues to be excellent.
Fantastic as ever - great food and fantastic attentive service!
Fantastic evening as always. Food is outstanding every time.
Up to it’s usual excellent standards, food amazing and very helpful sommelier.
Great food, great atmosphere and outstanding cocktails. The service is also fantastic. Such a treat. The best place to eat in London!
Overall great place - one of my favourite restaurants in SW London. Don’t miss it!
Wonderful food, lovely staff. Pricey but then all Michelin starred restaurants will be and the food is really superb. They made a special occasion (daughter's 21st), extra special.
The cooking was excellent, the staff were incredibly patient and respectful.
Upstairs seating was disappointing as ambience not the same but food was very good and a nice night overall
We have eaten at Chez Bruce on several occasions and enjoyed the experience. On this occasion the menu was disappointing and the overall quality less than we have experienced previously. ChezBruce did not provide value for money and I doubt we shall be back.
Great quality and elaboration. Outstanding service. The only con would be the price, which is very expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Also, the menu offered some amazing courses but others that did not sounded that amazing, yet I understand this is a very personal view. I totally recommend the pigeon and the hake!
Excellent service, excellent food . We travelled from outside London to the restaurant on a recommendation and well worth it.
The perfect local restaurant yet such a special treat. It’s my third visit and it always delivers. Amazingly wonderful food, wine, service and ambience. I will definitely be going back again!
Perfect evening. Food is top quality & better value than any other equivalent restaurant. Superb, friendly staff.
Amazing as always
A lovely meal to celebrate a special occasion, the service was impeccable and the food lovely... the cheese board was incredible!
Very friendly and cosy environment with excellent food
Appetisers were good, our Cote Du Boeuf for two was superb. Great cocktails and well built wine list. Very good experience overall although the place lacked a bit of ambiance due to no background music.
Staff was gracious and happy, very aware of what is going on at each table and perfectly timed in regards to the presence at ours whenever they sensed we needed advise on menu items or wine.
Great food and very warm atmosphere. Definitely will be back
All the dishes we had were really delicious, full of flavour and beautifully balanced. Fantastic wine list, very extensive and with some unusual choices. Service was attentive, warm and friendly. I also think £45 for 3 courses for lunch is very good value for cooking of this quantity. Will be back.
Maitre D was fantastic!
Absolutely outstanding. Hands down my favourite restaurant.
Food was excellent as ever and the ambience is bustling and not at all stuffy. On this occasion though, the service wasn’t up to scratch. We had 4 different people waiting our table and yet we needed to call for wine to be served (my glass was frequently empty - a first world problem but it is a Michelin started restaurant?!), it took a couple of attempts to order the food and the usual level of attention just wasn’t there. Let’s put it into contact though, we had a great meal and we will definitely come back (yet) again. It was just one of those slightly ‘off’ nights for the waiting staff.
Excellent food and service was not overbearing. £100/head for three courses, a bottle of wine and cocktails.
Food is sensational; beautiful environment; perfect service
Exceptional food and service as always, a delightful experience time and time again. Looking forward to going back already!
You cannot fault Chez Bruce. Perfection at its very best. Thank you. Corfield Family 19/12/18
As always, food and service wonderful. The desserts were amazing.
We had a lovely meal for my husbands birthday- fab table and service was as always fantastic
What's left to be said about my favourite restaurant, except that on this occasion they were even better!
Great performance as always. Hare ragu with spezle was sensational.
From start to finish Chez Bruce offer a welcoming, comfortable yet high end dining experience.
Wonderful friendly and professional staff, superb food and excellent wine selection.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Loved everything about our dining experience. Such a wonderful birthday treat.
I had dinner at Chez Bruz on Tuesday night with a friend of mine.
The atmosphere was cosy and the room had nice Christmas decorations.
The waiter brought some different types of bread and some butter.
I tried as slice of the sourdough option, and found it to be ok, but nothing amazing.
The butter was very cold and then hard to spread. The taste was similar to any industry standard butter.
We ordered a carafe of red wine, which was pretty good and worth the price.
We both had one starter and one main dish.
I found the food slightly “old fashioned”: too rich and buttery, and I was unable to distinguish between any of the ingredients.
Everything was disguised by a fatty and buttery taste.
The service was spotless and the waiters very nice and friendly.
I didn’t find the restaurant to meet my expectations !You can find much better in London at that price!
Very much enjoyed it. The only constructive observation was that initially the staff rushed us to order and get through the meal. Initially l thought they wanted the table for 9.15 (we booked and arrived on time for 7.15) but this was not the case. Once we asked them no to rush usit was much more pleasant. Also there we no 2nd sittings that night. Looking forward to an excuse to go again.
