We've been to Chez Bruce several times now, and it's always our go-to for special occasions. It's always such a wonderful experience. The food and service is fabulous, and even though it has a Michelan star, it still have a neighbourhood restaurant feel to it.
Solid cooking in an upmarket but not snobbish environment. Gin cured mackerel was a particular highlight, as was the skate with puy lentils. Wine was outstanding and looked to be generally good value. Service was attentive and friendly with the exception of the po faced maître d'.
I do wish they'd take heed of the majority of reviews that report annoyance with the incessant filling of wine glasses. Also tables so close that your chair may touch that of a neighboring table.
Chez Bruce has never failed to impress. Fantastic food and wine selection, excellent service, fine dining of modern elegance.
amazing resturant. Lovely food and atmosphere and their staff go above and beyound xx
This was my second visit to the restaurant and absolutely lived up to expectations. The food was delicious and the service was superb and unobtrusive. The lunchtime menu offers an excellent choice and provides very good value. I shall certainly come again.
Chez Bruce ticks all boxes. From the attentive service to the delicious food, the experience is first class.
Outstanding!. The flavours in every dish we had were incredible as was the creativity of ingredients and presentation. Service could not have been better. Huge wine list to suit all tastes and budgets.
We eat out very regularly and we're struggling to remember a better dining experience.
Superbly tasty food and a relaxed stylish warm atmosphere
An amazing meal with fabulous service. Chez Bruce goes straight into the chart at number 1 for us on London Restaurants.
This is one of our favourite restaurants not just because of the high quality food but also the friendly staff who get everything just right.
Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in London- thank you for a fine lunch and great service
Nigh on perfect as ever
I have been a number of times before and I found this time the service to be surprisingly slow .The food was good but no real wow factor . What was particularly disappointing was the rhubarb trifle which was overly sweet and I have had better at kids birthday parties. One of our party complained of his over salted fish course. So only a 3 star review.
Food was delicious and looked gorgeous on the plates when they came out. Staff were more than happy to accommodate and help out with gluten free options as well. Took us a while to get a reservation but definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend Chez Bruce
One of my personal favourites. Having not been for a number of years it was lovely to revisit and find the food was a good as it was 7 yrs ago.
I shall be visiting sooner than my previous wait.
Chez Bruce is all our family's favourite restaurant. We celebrated my husbands birthday there this week and the staff very kindly welcomed my daughter and her 5 week old baby. It makes such a difference when fine dining restaurants are child friendly. My granddaughter slept throughout our lunch which was a great relief. The food was exquisite and the staff couldn't have been more charming.
Outstanding as ever. Chez Bruce treated us to a very special night to celebrate a birthday. The staff went beyond and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Food was without fault and the paired wines were both interesting (cider with the starter salad!) and well thought out.
Would recommend for a special occasion, especially if someone else is paying!
My all time favourite restaurant. Love everything about chez Bruce! Timeless classic
Excellent. Haven't been for quite a few years and was not disppointed. Food, wine and service were all superb. Hope it's not as long before our next visit.
Unfortunately you sent the booking and this review request to the wrong person at the wrong email address.
Brilliant as always! Lovely long girly lunch. Thank you
Service was fantastic. Very attentive staff keen to please and ensure you have a good experience. Nothing was too difficult for them. Went wit my son on his Birthday and the owner Bruce, actually came out to wish him happy birthday and make sure everything was ok. They even cooked my meat further when I reluctantly had to send it back as it was underdone (as I like my venison well done - just a personal preference). Every course was tasty and well presented and the chocolate pudding is to die for!!! Thanks to all the staff!!!! Xxx
Always a pleasure to have lunch here. Wonderful food and service with fresh seasonal produce. Consistently high standards.
Had not been to Chez Bruce for some time but the whole experience was just as remembered - great friendly service, amazing food and well priced and delicious House wines. We even had a visit to our table from Bruce himself, which was a first. The only negative, if you can call it that, is that we were so full we could hardly move at the end of the meal and couldn’t eat another thing all day! Personally I would prefer the option of just having two courses as I rarely ever have three and only did so out of greed and because we had paid for it! However it won’t put me off going back for more....
Always excellent, easy to book despite high ranking and Michelin star, probably due to off centre location, but great for anyone living in Wandsworth!
Great food and service. Relaxed atmosphere, but it still felt special.
Amazing food as always. Best restaurant in South West London.
All was perfect, the only complaint was the way the manager in shift treat us at arrival and during the dinner. He was more interested on his computer than in what was going on in the restaurant. I booked a table for 4 and one friend cancelled me at last minute. At arrival when I informed the manager he got upset and told me I should had call to inform them in a very bad mood. He also changes us to a smaller table, in the middle of the restaurant where all the waiters walk through in 3 directions as kind of punishment. Note that half of the restaurant was empty all night. There was at least 3 big table of four empty all night. I will have understood the issue if the restaurant was going to be completely full. At the end of the dinner when we leave the place and we told him good bye by the door, he didn't look back or reply he was just focusing on the computer, as he did all night in a half empty restaurant.
note: that the service we got from the waiter was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! he erased all the bad sense. He was impressive and attentive.
This place was out of this world from the moment we walked in , until we left with treats to take away! I will be back asap
Didn’t want the meal to end - delicious
This place is a firm favourite lunch date
