The food was delicious. I ordered the Orecchiette alla Norma, and my only complaint is that it was an Americanized version - a traditional Norma has tomato sauce and eggplant only, and this dish had more sausage than eggplant. The dish still tasted wonderful, but I was hoping for at least a more balanced eggplant-to-sausage ratio. Nevertheless, my boyfriend and I both enjoyed our food (he ordered the Frutti di Mare and it was also delicious) and our overall experience was positive. The staff also followed proper COVID safety guidelines.
This is our favorite restaurant in Saratoga Springs. The food is always delicious and our waiter Kevin goes above and beyond every time. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was good but a little less flavor than I would have liked. The service was great and we had a quiet table.
Dinner was great! We were tucked away in a quiet corner which was perfect for our anniversary dinner! The veal osso bucco was spot on. Spaghetti with lobster cream sauce and shrimp was so yummy!
We arrived on time but had to wait 15 minutes to be seated - not indoors but under a tent. As we waited, we watched food being prepared by someone whose mask didn’t cover his nose. When we remarked to the person handling reservations, we were told he was the head chef and never wore his mask properly. The waiter was slow to greet us and stammered through the specials. The regular menu was only available by QSR on a smartphone. After a lengthy wait, our order was taken. The pork shank special was large but lacked the complex herb flavor we has been told to expect. The orichette with sausage had more bite than al dente. We had to remind the waiter that my husband had requested a second glass of wine and he responded that the bartender was busy.
Kevin and another server brought us a superb dinner that makes Chianti my favorite restaurant in Saratoga. You'll love your food along with the fine attentive service. Only one thing could have made the evening even better for my friend and me: The noise level could have been much lower. But the noise is a mixed blessing because it means that Covid-19 isn't frightening happy gusts away from a wonderful restaurant.
Resturant was very crowded we almost left ... finally got a corner table ... but still it was over crowded .... they need to be more careful in these times ..
Great food. Wonderful place. We will be back
Great Italian food...not the "usual" Italian. Service was great!
Food was great. And the host was great as well
Sat at the chef’s table, chatted with Jose, great food and great company!
Food was OK, service was not good - they kept taking our plates while we were still eating. It was a Thurs. night and not crowded so I don’t know what the rush was.
Great food and Kevin is a great waiter.
Kevin is an amazing server!!! The food is always exceptional
The food was amazing! The pasta was incredible and we really enjoyed the filets. Great service.
Interesting menu with a variety to choose from . Our favorite place
Kevin was absolutely amazing!!! He made our first experience out comfortable and made our first wedding anniversary enjoyable!
Delicious food, beautiful setting and Christopher could not have been more polite, attentive and knowledgeable about not food and libations. The perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.
Kevin was an excellent server!!
Since Covid going out to eat has not only been different but also limited. It was great to get out and experience this great gem in Saratoga. The staff was fabulous, the suggestions from waitstaff on meals and drinks were spot on.
No complaints at all.
Good, but not great. The reviews here set one up for expectations not being met. Fairly limited menu. Was hoping for a nice Osso Bucco or an expertly prepared veal chop. There was No veal on the menu. OK, how about some chicken? No. No chicken either. Several pasta and risotto dishes seem to dominate the offerings. On the appetizer side, a lot in the way of Carpaccio. My wife had a pasta with spinach & Gorgonzola which was good. My pasta w/ Frutti Di Mare was so-so. Nothing special about the seafood and the tomato sauce was a little thick for a seafood preparation. Meatball appetizer was good, but nothing to make one look forward to a return trip.
Excellent food, service a little slow but understandable due to COVID issues, atmosphere quiet and pleasant.
Service was prompt, food came faster than expected, wine selection is good, now the food was excellent!
We had a great experience. Loved our apps and dinners. I would recommend the grilled Octopus and Slow braised rib. Everything was great as well as the service. Our waiter was very good and attentive. Terrific evening.
It is a good Italian restaurant especially the pasta and the octopus
My husband and I have been here several times, we absolutely love the food and service. Chianti was very accommodating to our request of a corner table (due to the normal noise level). Ambiance is very charming and romantic.
Fantastic food and service. Very attentive wait staff without being intrusive. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Saratoga.
Overall, genuinely disappointed with our experience. The food was fine, the entrees being decent, but the service was mediocre at best. The bar back was the kindest of them all- and the only one to check in. We will probably give it another chance but not top of our list.
Food was impeccable. Service was excellent. Very clean and all employees were wearing masks. Definitely recommend dining here.
Went for our Tenth Wedding Anniversary. Our server was great and we enjoyed the food. The damper on the evening was waiting for a table after making a reservation and even being offered to sit at the bar ten minutes after our reservation time. There were several parties with reservations waiting for their tables. I’m very forgiving especially under the current circumstances but perhaps they need to adjust their reservation system for the reduced capacity so that they don’t have 4-5 parties standing in the street waiting for tables.
Great food and service, highly recommend the penne a la vodka, is was delicious, the shrimp appetizer was excellent as well and it went great with the delicious crispy bread and olive oil brought out to the table
Delicious food and great service.
Food is simply outstanding - this restaurant is a must try. Best Italian food I've had in many years.
Been coming here for years. Always consistently good food and attentative service. Mid week date dinner with my husband. Wonderful evening.
Staff was great and Kira was exceptional waitress. We had a great time!
Fabulous food and impeccable service. Kevin was our server and he was outstanding. The Risotto dishes we tried were excellent as well as the Spaghetti with seafood. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely return.
Great experience, excellent food as always. It’s our go to for special occasions.
Every time we go to Chianti's we remember why we keep going back. The food is wonderful and the service spectacular. I had the most amazing Carpacci (Del Chianti). Melted in my mouth, followed by their Salmon special. What great food. Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu, specials and wine. He made the experience great. Love this restaurant and want them to succeed through COVID. I will be back soon!
We took friends to dine and they loved the restaurant. Our waiter Kevin, was friendly, efficient and made our dining experience that much better. The food, as always is very delicious. The selection of wines and cocktails is superb. We had salmon, filet with blue cheese, osso bucco and fruiti de mare. Each dish was abundant, served piping hot and delicious.
Food always excellent. Noise level could have been quieter
