Chinese
Conceived by Sir David Tang, the founder of China Clubs in Hong Kong, Peking, and Singapore, as well as the life-style brand, "Shanghai Tang", China Tang aims to define the best of classical Cantonese food.

There is no fusion of dishes nor compromise on classical recipes, all are prepared with the freshest ingredients and traditional spices and flavourings. No mono-sodium-glutomate (MSG) shall be used.

The decoration of China Tang will evoke a romantic sense of art deco of the thirties. At the same time, there will be an abundance of Chinoiserie as well as a collection of art from both.

SET LUNCH MENU @ £35.00 PER PERSON AVAILABLE MONDAY-FRIDAY UNTIL 4.30PM .

The safety measures put in place due to COVID-19 made us feel safe to eat at the restaurant. Our temperatures were taken on arrival and all the staff had visors on.

The food was good overall, the prawn toast was oily which was a shame.

The service was great and the ambiance was good.

Feels like its living off its reputation. The atmosphere was a little flat, but the food the the most disappointing thing. Staff were very professional and attentive, but felt really let down by the food, which was flat. The ingredients etc were all super fresh, but lacked any excitement
Hau Kar and lamb dim sum were great, as as Cha Sui starters, but the mains were as bland as could be. Chicken and Cashew and Wok fried Squid.

Really good food. Great seeing. Great service. Fast, efficient, not rushed. Good noise level, able to talk with ease and comfortably

Loved the ambience and the service. Slightly disappointed with the food, as it did not seem that special.

Pick your starters from the Dim Sum menu and if you don't see what you want on the menu then just ask and they'll prepare for you if possible.

I really liked how far the tables were, the food cane covered and the servers were wearing face shields

It was all fine. However, so many items on the menu weren’t available which was a shame.

The food was excellent. At first the service was ok, but got better with time.

Waiter was really kind and superb. Singapore noodles and toffee dessert were the best items. Amazing wine and champagne selection by the glass and bottle.

Excellent spot of lunch at China Tang. Restaurant taking COVID safety measures seriously with temperature check, foot pump activated alcohol dispensers and all staff wearing protective covering. Enjoyed some dim sum followed by the signature peking duck (carved table side with social distancing!) followed by wok fried ho fun. Service impeccable as usual.

Good was pretty good though very expensive, tables are packed in very tight so feels less like a restaurant experience, not much in the way of garish on the dishes

The selection and food was of good quality however for that price, I have an infinite amount of restaurants to choose from.

We ordered the roast suckling out and they cut and served the tail in the table. Rather off putting. I don’t think they do that in Asia?

Would be helpful if they brightened the restaurant? I would like to be able to see what I am eating.
