We booked through lack of other options and so glad we did, the food, service was absolutely amazing and great value for money, we definitely recommend it and will add it to our favourite places to eat.
Amazing food, steak was so good and cooked well. Good price as we went for Eat leeds and got the offer. Super nosiey though, we asked to move due the to the noise as its small and tables are very close.

Food and service excellent but the seating is so uncomfortable. This is not what you'd expect in a supposed upmarket venue and easily remedied.
We were very well looked after - the staff were excellent. We only had one course due to time pressures but what we had was good. The menu looked interesting so we will try and come back again when we are next in Leeds.

New staff - not her fault - service v slow, food (crispy duck, calamari) over sweet and sticky. Good veg yellow curry and king prawn tempura
We only chose this restaurant as it was the only place we could get a table at short notice, so our own fault. The food was ok but the ambience was poor and the restaurant was really cold and the toilets were very stinky. Would definitely not go back...
The afternoon tea was not the option we asked for ,the ribs were good but everything else average very messy .
Good range of food, suited varying tastes. A little pricey but still OK value given it's city centre and the quality of the fare

We went for the first bottomless brunch. Was confused at first of how to enter the restaurant. The door near city square was locked and another party waited there too. Eventually worked out that could enter via the hotel.
Anyway we were the only two there initially so little atmosphere.
Waiter explained new concept and promptly got us drinks. Buffet style starters were beautifully laid out and looked very apertising. We duly delved in to the various foods with numerous plates, all of which were delicious. The main meal options were very good i would of happily tried them all, I had the pan fried sea bass which was accompanied with rice and vegetables. Nice presentation and good quantity
Upside was the food was delicious and well worth the money, I would definitely recommend and try again myself.
Downside wasnt many tables in so no atmosphere, probably as this was the first time opening. Felt a little like we were being watched every time we went to the buffet table. Asked by at least three different staff how the meal was several times each so got a little annoying.
Had the tasting menu and there was some items missing from the menu but were replaced with an alternative.
Second visit to this restaurant, this time via the Eat Leeds week promotion, and it was outstanding, from 2-4-1 cocktails to the food, both of which were magnificent. This was all complemented by excellent service and a nice early vibe (18:00 - 19:00). We will be back for more soon.
Hotel restaurant, tables were chipped and it had a dated feel, service poor and unfriendly, waitress forgot our wine. Food was ok although the restaurant name is confusing given this is Asian food. The worse bit was staff resetting tables around us whilst we ate with breakfast settings ready for hotel guests the following morning! No ambience as the place was empty.
My partner and I came here as part of the Eat Leeds week, their menu was the most appealing out of all the restaurants that were participating and the food didn't disappoint, it was fresh and full of flavour with full size portions! No scrimping just because it was part of the 3 courses for £15. The cocktails were divine, it was great to see they also had 2-4-1 on cocktails during dinner. The staff were all friendly and really helpful particularly Shirley and Karolina who explained the dishes and were very accommodating with my fussy partner. Looking forward to eating here again and sampling the main menu.
Very average, the food was nothing special amd the atmosphere was poor. This was a Saturday night in the centre of Leeds and the restaurant was empty with only 3 tables of people. I wouldn’t come back here again

The reason we chose Chino Latino was due to the marketing on Facebook. The food looked amazing and the bar looked really trendy. So we booked it for our wedding anniversary. Turns out the restaurant is within a hotel and it feels like a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately there’s no atmosphere it was quiet, we certainly wouldn’t of stayed in the bar as we’d of been the only couple there. It’s such a shame because the food was amazing. Our waitress was lovely full of knowledge and recommendations, it was her last day as she was moving on. I’m not surprised since it was so quiet. We were really disappointed as it wasn’t anything like what it showed on Facebook. If we ever went again it’d be in a different city ideally not within a hotel. Such a shame.
Good food, tasting menu was about the right amount of food, very quiet, no atmosphere, the staff started setting out breakfast at 10pm and there was a lot of clattering!! We were the only ones in the restaurant quite literally. Very disappointing for such a pricey meal and the 2 for 1 cocktails that may have encouraged us to stay longer finished at 10pm!
Having been here before I knew what to expect. Food was good, menu was full of variety. Sushi was around 6/10 but good standard. Service, now, as much as they were all lovely mistakes were made. they were corrected but wasn't really corrected enough.
Wrong orders made, waiting after main before the starter came out. No explanation of the dishes upon laying them down.
Also as it was valentines day, they mentioned a set menu with prosecco. They put both menus down, the a l carte and valentines day menu and before we knew it prosecco was placed on our tables. They they said you have to order off the set menu as you have had the prosceco. I did not order it and was quite annoyed that i wasnt given an option untill i demanded the a le cart menu and the processo was given on the house.
Again, mistakes but corrections made, however late
even desert was given 25 mins later than expected. If it wasnt for the wonderful company i would have made my comments more clear.
Expecation for next time... more attention please!
We often used to come to Chino Latino and have the tasting menu. We haven't been for a while as we have moved out of Leeds.
We had a last minute babysitter the first Saturday in December. Finding a table in a good restaurant last minute at this time of year is tough, but we always manage to get into Chino, and this time was no different. It amazes us that the place is always so quiet.
We arrived and decided to stick with tradition and get the taster menu. The two starter rounds were delicious, as were the two mains, however we were disappointed that the Miso Cod portion was smaller than it used to be.
It was poor that we got asked 3 times how one course was, within the space of 3 minutes! There should be a system so diners are not asked by every member of staff!
Finally the dessert platter was more basic than it used to be. Disappointing.
Used to be great - first fancy place with fusion / Japanese in Leeds and an urban club atmoshpere. But aged badly now. Service nice but clueless and not attentive. Forgot spoons to share dishes and waiters not seen for long periods. Place was half empty on a Friday night. Ishoo does it better. Will not go again. A shame.
I had pre-booked my table for 9:00pm, upon arrival I was told they didn't have a table for me 'as it was just really busy' despite having booked a table. This defeats the whole point of booking a table, if the restaurant will give it away to someone else who came in. We had to sit off away from the restaurant and were the only people on this side, there was no ambiance or nice atmosphere. We had to ask and wait for a drinks menu, service was very rushed as though we were in the way. One of our dishes was also forgotten and we had to remind our waitress that we were still waiting on more food.
Overall, I would never go back nor recommend to anyone. It isn't a cheap restaurant, although the prices aren't astronomical you would expect to have at least some form of apology or attempt to make up for not actually having the table I had booked available. The food was fairly nice, but the service and running was appalling and ruined our evening as I had a good friend come visit me all the way from Kent. So, the who experience was disappointing and do not recommend to anyone.
Good starters, but main was very disappointing. Very quiet for a Saturday night on a bank holiday. I would not go back. They did kindly give us 25% off.
The food was well presented and well flavoured. The terriaki beef was cooked to perfection -
pink and tender. There was also a good selection of pesci/veggie options. The cocktails were very flavoursome and it was clear that the bar tender took a lot of pride in her work!
The staff were very friendly and I will certainly be going back again.
Amazing food which was fresh, hot, and tasty my husband had the ribs and said they was the best he'd had and my veggie option was delicious

Service not great. Food good but had much better for less. Kind of place that would be great for cocktails and food after work. Not really for children, although there is a children's menu it is poor. Would come with friends on an evening out not with family.
Lacking in atmosphere, poor service and not a patch on the amazing place it used to be. Food was still good but won't be rushing back. Felt like we were forgotten about, and the resturant was quiet so no excuse for that.
The food was amazing and the service was even better, Philip was especially helpful in organising a bithday surprise. But the atmosphere was a bit dull. But on a whole the experience was great! Would go again
Not as good as it used to be. It was very quiet in there and still we had to wait almost 20mins for our drinks. The cocktails were not the best, the food was good but not great! The service was quite slow and our dishes didn't arrive together so whilst waiting for our rice and veg our mains were getting cold. We didn't feel like we wanted to stay once we finished eating so we left straight away and went on to a bar. Overall average to be honest.
The food was not hot enough, and some part of the meat is even not hot at all even though it claims it is served on "hot rocks". The waitress doesn't even know what she was serving. As I asked them what dish is it, they couldn't answer my question and randomly said it was "belly" but it was a duck breast dish. Also, the cutlery they prepared wasn't good enough as they did not give us knife and fork even though we were having steak! Were they expecting us to eat the steak with the chopsticks?
The dessert part was quite disappointing as well, the vanilla cheesecake they served did not have any taste like "cheesecake". The cake was airy, very light in structure just like I was eating a vanilla mousse cake rather than cheesecake.
A restaurant like this in a hotel and the prices of the dishes, I would expect it should have a better quality, and the things I mentioned should not happen. The staff of the restaurant was not well trained since they should know what dishes they are bringing to the customer.
We thought the whole experience was fantastic. We've been on numerous occasions, each time it get's better.
The staff were complementary without being over powering. We even had a chat with the cooking team, again very polite.
Food was really poor, steak and salmon mains were completely overcooked. Would strongly discourage anyone booking a table at this restaurant in its current form. I hadn't been for a couple of years, and it appears to have gone sharply downhill. Worst restaurant I have visited in a long time.
Eat here with friends on Wednesday lunch time sushi was great but the beef salad was lacking freshness and flavour have had that salad numerous times but this time it was very average sorry guys
This was simply amazing. The food is out of this world and Jo and Chris the restaurant manager are amazing staff. Please make sure that you award them with praise.
