Serving a host of classically authentic Japanese dishes, the menu covers sushi, sashimi, tempura, noodles and hot and cold plates.
With an exclusive sake bar, serving bottles not available anywhere else in the UK, the restaurant is a haven of Japanese tranquillity and hospitality.

The vast majority of the food was excellent as usual, but the last course (Wagyu beef) was dry and overcooked.
Quality of food is incredible and staff are very friendly!
Still one of the best and authentic Japanese restaurants in London and beyond in my opinion. Sashimi uses excellent fish and is cut to perfection. Hot dishes are also exquisite, from the incredible wagyu beef topped with foie gras to the roasted aubergine and not forgetting the king crab tempura. Accompanied by a great wine and sake list.
The venue is understated and quiet. Ideal for a romantic dinner or a small group. Eating at the bar is possible and quite enjoyable with view on the action from the staff.
Not cheap but definitely worth it!
A wonderful evening - delicious food, really perfectly Japanese - could have been in Japan - and very good service. Whilst not cheap - reasonable value for location and quality of food.
Absolutely loved it and would go back again!
Best sushi I had a while. Easily contending as one of the best sushi places in London.
Absolutely excellent restaurant with very attentive staff and fabulous food. The quality and authenticity of all the dishes was superb and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Japanese food.
Stopped in for lunch with two children and were warmly welcomed. While there was one other family, it seemed more like a business lunch venue. Udon was tasty and the sushi was well made.
This restaurant is outstanding - the food is absolutely phenomenal, hugely recommend the soft shell crab sushi rolls, will certainly be back!
Quality of the food was among the best I've ever had in London
Fresh, clean, flavorful food. the Wagu Beef entree is excellent.
Great food and very good service. Not the best value for money but also not as expensive as other restaurants in the area
My first visit to this lovely Izekaya. All in a very nice evening with delicious food. Sake selection was interesting but with limited choice. Food order somewhat mixed up. Nice surroundings. Pricing is somewhat irritating but in general ok. Food quality was outstanding. Will definitely go again and recommended it to friends.
Love this place, it’s my go to when I’ve not had sushi in a while.
A wonderful meal. The highlight being the Tuna Tartare. We will be back.
Excellent food , the shishmi was very good although expensive . Seating was good in the little individual room but a bit too hot . Would recommend you try it , you won’t be disappointed
Excellent food choice and taste. Service is great as well. Of course not cheap but reasonable. I love this place
Great experience as always!
Lovely! Best authentic Japanese restaurant
Although the food was really good and the location was stellar, I have to say that our dinner experience was rather disappointing solely because of the service. When we arrived, we were placed on a table, however, my mother who I was having dinner with, requested if it was alright if we could move to another table because the one we were previously at was too dark. And so, the server moved us and we ordered our food. Whilst waiting, our server approached us and told us to move back to our original spot because "an important family wants to have dinner and they always sit at this specific table". This was so unprofessional and we would have understood if there were a "Reserved" label on the table however this was a free table. This was definitely one of the worst dining experiences that we have had.
Food was great, especially the sushi quality topnotch
Delicious but we needed more help choosing, Sashmi great except fatty salmon. Problem is salmon now over farmed so we want to avoid !!
Great food as always
I had to wait the main course though I had busuniss lunch; black cod was overroasted
Very pleasant meal, service a little slow when ordering drinks but otherwise a good experience
Great food and service. The vanilla and salted caramel moochi are amazing!!
Great food great service
We had a set menu so did not really test out the restaurant but the blackened cod was delicious. We drank sake and wine. Service was excellent and friendly. It was very good for what we ordered. A neighbourhood gem.
Always a winner and never disappointed. The service is great, very friendly and they always remember us from the previous visit. The food is a wide range of Japanese styles of cooking but everything is great. The sashimi and Sushi are excellent quality and they cooked dishes and particularly the Chef's recommendations which change all the time are very authentic.
Sushi was good, hot dishes average
The service is great. The grilled fish was amazing.
The manageress always knows how to make us feel welcome. She always a friendly smile on her face. The service was very good and the food was delicious all around.
Fantastic neighbourhood restaurant. I’ve been a million times and will go back again and again.
One of my favourite restaurants in London.
Will definitely be back soon!
Service was obtrusive and not really a good flow. I was interrupted several times by staff.
I come here reguraly now, because it’s one of the best ”casual” , japanese restaurants in London. The food is amazing! Service is great too!
Extremely poor service and miserably sized dishes for the price, even though when asked if the dish was filling the answer is 'yes, big enough for 1 person'. It took forever to get some of our group's dishes. Some of the people got their dishes way earlier than the others, which made it awkward and caused people to eat their dishes cold. There was no warning that dishes would arrive 'as ready' or at disconnected times. Some dishes that were specifically ordered as main and side arrived within 30-40 minute of each other. Will not go back. Even when asking for the bill it took at least 30 minutes.
Best japanese in London. I like their Mayfair branch too, but this one has a more cozy dècor and ambience.
Nice food and Saki/Plum wine selection. Tables quite closely packed together at rear of restaurant. Though there are some nice cubicle s for larger groups.
Expensive, expect to pay over £100 , for food for two with wine & water. But I imagine it is not cheap to run a joint in this part of London.
