This Kensington local favourite attracts fans from all over the capital who devoutly wish they had a Cibo - there's only one - in their street. The decor is cosy Mediterranean with truly unique artwork on the walls, with smaller rooms providing a sense of intimacy. The staff have that inimitable Italian welcome and capacity for fine service without a lot of fuss. Fish is a speciality of the house, so try pasta filled with crab in a special sauce to start, or the octopus, green bean and potato salad. Then go for the spaghetti with lobster in its own sauce, although the calves liver is delicious, too. Coffee with petits fours are on the don't miss list, too. Servings are huge and the pace is leisurely.

Food with a Sardinian twist was fantastic, ingredients were top notch, tuna and sword fish carpaccio was outstanding as well as the fregola with baby squids. The home made desserts were a pleasant surprise!

We’ve been going to Cibo for 6 years to celebrate special family occasions. The food is exceptional and the staff always nice, professional and friendly. A bit expensive but a real treat.

Cibo really is a neighbourhood gem. The fairly frequently changing menu offers a wide choice of inventive dishes that I've not found in any other London based Italian restaurant, and the cooking is of a consistently excellent standard. Service too is outstanding, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere. It ticks all my boxes!

In London on Friday and thought it would be good to revisit Cibo. Glad we did. We had a fantastic meal - never been let down yet - and wonderful service from all the staff. A real pleasure to eat here and incredibly good value. No complaints at all.

Whilst we had an enjoyable evening, we found Cibo to be fairly expensive compared to the previous evenings dinner at another local restaurant.

The staff were friendly and the food was good.

The stairs down to the toilets were very steep, which was not good in my opinion.

Have been going to this venue for 15+ years and it never fails to impress; the menu is varied and ever changing, the cooking great and the service lovely; Authentic Italian food and service.

The venue isn't huge and this means the tables are fairly close together, but if this doesn't bother you, I'd have no hesitation in recommending the place.

On a 2-week trip to London, we chose Cibo for a special night out. It was walking distance from our flat, but worth seeking out even if you are not nearby. A small space decorated with impressive art works—cozy yet sleek. The meals were fantastic: a mushroom starter (fricco), and mains of grilled squid (calamaretti) and a sort of bouillabaisse (la sautee di mare). The bread basket held an assortment so that you could choose a favorite to complement your dish. Nice dessert, too. The wine list was interesting and affordable. The servers pleasant. Seemed like the proprietor kept a watchful eye to ensure that all went well, and welcomed regulars. Highly recommended.

Cibo merits its popularity with its many regulars and London’s Italian community. The food is superb, made with the freshest ingredients and lovingly prepared. The service is unobtrusive but careful and the cadre is agreeable.

After a very pleasant experience of Cibo for a family celebration some months ago, we went again for a date night out. We were delighted with the friendly welcome, helpful explanations of the menu, delicious food, and the excellent accompanying bits & bobs (olives, breads, petits fours).
Quiet yet cosy & v friendly - we will return!

I’ve been going to Cibo for longer than I can remember, and both the food - with its regularly evolving menu showcasing interesting and authentic Italian fare, wonderfully executed and beautifully presented. Service is both friendly and efficient. Never had a bad meal yet (it’s over 15 years...)

Cibo is fabulous, food is superb and also good wine list.
The presentation of the dishes is an art in itself.

The only issue is getting down the very steep stairs for the toilets, quite dangerous and totally unsuitable for anyone really disabled

The food here is never the sort of clichéd Italian favourites that most places serve but real, delicious Italian food. OK, there's plenty of pasta and occasionally Spag Vongole if the vongole are good, but they really make a point of serving great regional cooking. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in London. Excellent service, excellent wines at rational prices.

Cibo continues to shine. From the friendly greeting to the attentive staff (“No garlic? No problem”). Seasonal menus, house made pasta and good wines by the glass. There are plenty of regulars and they are equally friendly and welcoming. A gem near Kensington Olympia and the Design Museum.

Great ambiance and services. The food was sublime and the wine list was spectacular with some unknown gems that I purchased when I returned home. Typically I would not write about such an experience so as to keep this prized restaurant to myself. Seeing as I do not live in London I must share the wealth. Truly outstanding experience with a good group of friends. We were the last to leave!
