What a surprise! We all loved the handcrafted thoughtful food. You will want to come back to try everything on the menu.
Good happy hour and nice atmosphere. The food was good, but we didn't feel like it was particularly special. Prices were high outside of happy hour. Parking was free and easy to find.
We would come again for happy hour.
Food and drink are quite good, but we were EXTREMELY disappointed with the hostess. She had no sense of customer service and seemed to be inexperienced. We got married at Cicchetti two years ago. We reserved the place and Maxine (who is no longer at Cicchetti) was fantastic in helping us with the menu and logistics. We had an amazing time. We decided to go back to celebrate our Anniversary (just my husband and I and our two teens). We noted it was a special occasion in the comments and requested seating upstairs. Our reservation was for 5:30, but were running early so arrived when they opened at 5:00, let the hostess know we had a reservation, and asked to do happy hour in advance of dinner.
The hostess took us to a table in the library. I asked if we could be seated upstairs since we were celebrating our anniversary. She said that they don't serve happy hour upstairs. We sat down, and then when our waiter came I told him we had a reservation at 5:30, and would it be possible for us to move upstairs to a table for dinner (just doing a drink and an appetizer downstairs). He said he didn't think it would be a problem.
Then, the hostess came to our table and said that they couldn't accommodate that. We could go upstairs now, but then we couldn't have happy hour. She said they were fully booked--albeit, our reservation wasn't til 5:30--so there is no reason she couldn't hold our table til 5:30. And, the place was empty when we arrived (for happy hour) and nobody was seated at any of the 3 other tables in the library until about 5 minutes before we left (probably around 6:30).
I probably should have been more forthright, but didn't want to seem agitated when we were celebrating our anniversary. I was absolutely astounded by the poor ( and in my option, unreasonable, given the circumstances) customer service from the hostess. It was such a bad experience that we will forgo what we had anticipated would be an anniversary tradition.
Sit at the bar on the weekends. The two bartenders are top notch. While they make a great classic cocktail, be adventurous and let them make you something special. Just give them the guidelines (what you like/don’t like) and you’ll be rewarded with something new and amazing. Also food is great. Ha.
Loved the ambiance here, the restaurant was romantic and cozy. The food was wonderful and creative, and the service was excellent. We ordered the cicchetti mix and duck confit cassoulet - the cicchetti were delicious and beautiful, but the cassoulet was so out of this world and flavorful! This was a wonderful spot for an anniversary celebration.
Excellent Valentine’s Day menu. Great service.
Very disappointed in table, felt cramped and too close to other table, food was undercooked and dry, portions small.
Table was not ready when arrived, even after restaurant called me 3 times to confirm I was coming.
Waiters had difficulty in serving us due to the closeness of the tables
Overall, will never go to this restaurant again, felt stuffed in to make more money
great food, very creative. Excellent service. A bit pricey but it is Seattle after all. We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentines Day dinner. We highly recommend Cicchetti.
Great, creative food. Good drinks and wine list too. My friend is vegetarian and we had plenty of options. Our service was great too.
Pre theatre dinner. Good tapas Entrees a little small in size but we had plenty kids good overall including dessert. Cost about $50 a head.
Really amazing experience. Jerry our waiter did a magnificent job. The food was fantastic. And Tuesdays is 30% off wine night. Couldn't ask for a better date night.
I went to Cicchetti for a date night with my boyfriend and really liked it! It was our first time going so we went ahead and made reservations for Happy Hour (goes until 6:30!!). I chose counter seating and absolutely appreciate the flexibility but arrived early and ultimate sat in a quiet corner both. The staff surprised us by informing us that on Tuesday you can get 30% off a bottle of wine. We ordered a Albarino which was actually the least expensive bottle on the list at $32. The wine was dry, local, and yummy. I can't eat dairy and the waitstaff was really great at suggesting dishes that supported my dietary restrictions. We ordered the lamb dolmas (with dairy so I didn't try) and two different dips. I followed up with some green beans and the boy had the paella. Both dishes were really tasty. The service was absolutely 5 stars and the only reason I give the restaurant is that the place is a bit pricey (not absurdly so but about $2-4 overprice per dish), and I wish there had been more dishes with fresh vegetables available.
The food is always good and service is fantastic!
I discovered this gem on my first day of move to my new Eastlake apt. Google review did not like - this is a true gem. Excellent food and drink. Extremely mannered staff. Great happy hour as well as dinner menu. A must go for Seattle dwellers.
Food here is absolutely amazing. Very inventive and expertly executed. If you want context, think of it as Italian tapas. So get your "adventurous" cap on, bring some friends who don't mind sharing some small plates with each other and get ready to expand your horizons.
A hidden gem... every dish was superbly prepared and presented. The service was even better!
Food was excellent and the service is of a type you don’t often get in Seattle: both attentive and UNOBTRUSIVE. Really good experience.
Great food, we ordered the steak medium and was clearly under but still delicious. Waitress didn't give us much time to decide on wine, could understand if it was super busy but there was plenty of open tables. Still was great service and she laid off after we had ordered. Brussel sprouts, roasted beets, & chocolate churros are a must try! Fun atmosphere, great place for dinner with friends.
Amazing fresh food and great service
Friendly, casual, fun place to try a different cuisine and get together with friends.
I love this restaurant. The small plates are great and I love that you can get three appetizers at happy hour for a really reasonable price.
Don't believe the restaurant website about "plenty of parking" on the street. There is no legal parking at night due to neighborhood zoning. The only option is paid parking in a small lot a block away. The restaurant was unapologetic about this misinformation on their website. Food was good, though. Then the waitress insisted it was against the restaurant's policy to split the check. I can forgive a lot when the food is good, but these two (easy to fix) inconveniences worked against the overall rating.
Our waiter interrupted our conversation about every 10 minutes during their happy hour. When we reported that we were ok for now in regards to ordering food, he immediately took our menus away and brought us our check. We were in the middle of our drink and felt very unwelcome as we did plan on ordering dinner as well.
Food was great and a great setting but this was very pricey for us especially with out of town guests from Australia. Servings were small. It is Tapas style but a bit overpriced. However I would say everything was delicious. I would recommend this place for a special occasion knowing you are paying a lot for it.
My husband and I were lucky enough to be married at Cicchetti. We returned for our anniversary and were greeted with sparkling cava by our waitress. I had marked that we were celebrating our anniversary on the Open Table app and was pleasantly surprised by the gesture. The menu had changed some what since we had last been in. We enjoyed some old favorites and new items as recommended by the staff. Everything came out in a timely manner. We even enjoyed some dessert which also didn't disappoint. We will definitely be back!
Went here for Happy Hour! Fantastic! Wait staff kind and helpful. Great HH choices. Can't wait to go back. Great deals on Tuesdays on wine, great happy hour prices, Thursdays 15% off bill if your zip code is same as theirs 98102! Fun place, beautiful setting!
After the theatre we had a light meal which was excellent. The offering on the menu was to taste a number of small dishes for $36. What a buy! Wonderful tastes and fun to share with 3 people, as we were not interested in having quantity - we were after quality and we were so happy to have gone there. Great service, too.
Cichetti is my all-time favorite neighborhood restaurant. I have posted my birthday dinner here for 12 people and brought many a friends here for a fun catch-up dinner. In the summer, they have a beautiful patio area to enjoy a bottle of wine and delicious foods; for the winter, they have an adorable mezzanine level and library that can host groups perfectly.
I would recommend anyone and everyone to come here.
Cicchetti is one of our neighborhood favorites. The service is always friendly and very professional, and the food is very good. Just a great place to go, relax and have someone take care of you and enjoy a great meal.
Good service, pretty good food but a limited menu, very loud making conversation difficult. There are so many great restaurants in Seattle now that we would probably opt to try another one and hope for a little better experience.
Tapas were outstanding. Main courses were also fresh and delicious. We skipped dessert because we ate so much of the tapas and then dinner as well. However, the dessert menu looked creative and appealing.
First time for a meal - will be back soon. See they have 30% off bottles of wine on Tuesdays. Already talked to friends about that.
Everything was great, but I strongly disliked our table location. We wanted to sit outdoors, but there were no open tables. So we were placed in a side room which was somewhat closet-like. It was very hot in there and claustrophobia inducing.
Very good food well prepared and tasty! Went for a date with my wife and we were both impressed we will be back.
Fresh, Mediterranean food at its best!
This is our favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the city.
Love going there especially in summer.
Our server was delicately helpful in recommendations. The entire staff worked in harmony to enhance the feeling of our dining experience. By far the appetizer 'sample all' option was a winner! Each one of the dishes were tasty and unique. The entrees were slightly lacking the same luster in comparison. (octopus and chicken wings) We will return to this peaceful setting again but this time with a new pick of main course or even a meal of appetizer!
Unfortunately, all foods came out with either too much sauce or salt. It could have been better with less sauce and salt.
I really enjoyed this place. The Pomegranate Muhammara was AMAZING! Sweet spot to order and share plates since there are many delicious things on the menu - including vegetarian options. The octopus was fabulous too! Yum everything we are. I'll be back to try more.
The restaurant is casual but the food is a step up. The deal for three appetizers was really good - nice way to start a meal. It is getting very difficult to find good value in Seattle restaurants - but this one was a pleasant surprise. It doesn't have white table cloths but much effort in put into the food. We will go back.
This is what summer in Seattle should be. Lovely outdoor patio surrounded by greenery and twinkly lights on a warm evening. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was tasty and only out done by a dessert.
