Cielo Blanco hopes to give all its guests a simple taste of authentic Mexican cuisine. We are located on the first floor of Trinity Leeds, (just above Topman) with fantastic terrace seating overlooking Briggate. We’re open 7 days a week serving food and drinks from midday 'til late. Our menu is designed around the relaxed, social and incredibly vibrant markets in the heart of Mexico. You can pop for a quick drink or rack of tacos, or come and have an all-night feast with your friends and a cocktail or two...or three.
Dear Open Table - we had a confirmed booking for 6 people for Sat 08/12 - we arrived at the restaurant on time to fine out that it was closed down i.e. NOT TRADING - the whole evening was a complete disaster !!
Why can't you make sure that Restaurants are still operating when you take and confirm bookings?
This venue is closed down, brill when you turn up!!!
It was closed, closed, closed, closed, closed, closed, closed, closed
It looks like it's gone out of business! Reservation made but closed when we got there
This restaurant ceased trading 3 days prior to us going. I only found out as I wanted to change our booking time. When I realised the phone line wasn’t connected I telephoned Trinity information who told me the restaurant had closed. I received no notification from Open Table or the restaurant!!!
Food was average, cocktails weren’t great. We lunched at 2pm and there were two other table occupied, shortly after we were the only people in the restaurant, so ambience was non existent. Perhaps would have been better at a busier time of day, but won’t be rushing back. Also very expensive for what it was.
Best restaurant in Leeds for Mexican by far would recommend 100%
Perfect in every way x
Fast service with a smile, tasty food and fab cocktails x
One of my favourite places to eat x
A bit pricier than some other Mexican restaurants but I thought it was full worth the price. The service could be a bit better- it was quite hard to get a waiter's attention even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Would recommend
Slow service but waitress told us that they were very busy and there might be a wait. Forgot to bring one of our dishes out too.
Other than that thought it was good value for money and we were both full!!
Terribl service - had to wait 90 minutes for food which wasn’t my first choice of meal (though there were a number of options unavailable) and turned out to me lukewarm and not that great.
Waitress was great though and we got a couple of free drinks and half price meal.
Great attentive service, nothing was too much trouble, staff were great to chat to and very accommodating
A it sterile. Probably better for daytime food. Not much atmosphere - but it was quiet. Service was great though. For was fast - but not particularly inspiring.
Food always great here super hot day so frozen margaritas were amazing!! Staff are really friendly too well recommended
First time here and will definitely be back! Liked everything from the 6 course sharer except the chicken wings. Great choice of non-alcoholic drinks and I throughly enjoyed the 'Refuel' energiser drink xx
Excellent service and really tasty authentic Mexican food..happy hour would be good here though, surprised there isn't one
Enjoyable evening with great cocktails and yummy food. 3rd time I've been and it is yet to dissapoint.
When we arrived there was no one to greet us but there was a girl polishing cutlery on a near table that had to get up! Restaurant was very quiet yet the service was really poor. I had to ask for cutlery, salt and water several times from different people, which was a really shame because all of the staff were lovely just not very efficient or observant. The staff were just milling about and chatting not really paying much attention to the customers but I feel that’s due to how quiet it was. I got the wrong drink at first & after the meal, when at home, we realised that my partner had not had one of his dishes (the green rice...unsure whether or no we’d be charged). The food was generally ok/ poor with the exception of the steak chimmicuri which was terrible, I’m not a fussy eater and love all food but this was bordering on unedable, the quality of the steak was shocking and the chimmicuri was not as expected. I did politely mention this after the meal when we were asked if everything was ok with our food, the server did say that had we of mentioned this she would of changed it for us.... however it was difficult to attract their attention at the time and we were not asked. This is the second time I’ve eaten here. I wasn’t the biggest fan the first time but the food seems to of gone further down hill, which I’m guessing is why it was so quiet. unfortunately I won’t be returning for a 3rd try. This is a real shame as the outside area is brilliant and in short supply in Leeds. In contract wagamammas next door was heaving.
The location of Cielo Blanco - it's on the top floor of a shopping centre - means it's never going to be the go-to restaurant for a romantic meal or a table with a view....but having said that we had a really nice pre-cinema meal there. The food - Mexican street - is really tasty (and perfect for sharing), the décor is colourful, the service is fast but friendly, and they make a mean margarita!
Visited cielo blanco with family.
We have been a few times previously but it was a first time for the other two.
The choice and quality of the dishes is exceptional to the point that we ordered too much and still managed to scoff most of it.
A great place for sociable, casual dining.
We really enjoyed the food and drinks we bought from the place and the tables where we sat had an outdoors type of vibe. Great place to have a nice lunch or dinner with a date or a group of friends.
Haven’t been to this restaurant for 2 years since we last visited Leeds. In that time the menu has changed and there is not as much choice, the food didn’t seem as good and was more expensive as no offers to take advantage of.
It was really quiet when we visited but staff weren’t very attentive or that friendly. We still enjoyed our meal but no where near as nice as we remembered. Won’t be returning to this restaurant when we next visit Leeds.
Super Mexican street food. Great for sharing, vibrant atmosphere with great beers and tequila. Lovely outdoor space for dining and drinks. Relaxed service, perfect for a quick bite or for dinner! Would recommend fish Tacos!
The portions were very small. If they decided to serve tapas instead of a full main meal it should be stated so on the menu. Overall bill was comparable to other restaurants but the amount of food was substantially smaller.
Think we got it on a bad day as has been good before and not everything was awful but horrible cocktail, wrong order then horrible burned food, ( some...other bits ok) vacant staff, intrusive out of date music, no atmosphere etc etc
One of my favourites in Leeds for great food, drink and atmosphere at a reasonable price. If you like Mexican and tapas then this a must try. Been 5 times and enjoyed it every time, plus it has a lovely outside area for the summer time.
We’ve been to Cielo quite a few times and have always enjoyed a great meal. This time however the menu was limited, the steak fatty and portion sizes reduced. We went for an afternoon meal (3pm) but felt that staff were only interested in preparing for the evening sittings. I don’t like the fact that the gratuity is automatically added onto the bill as it is too awkward to ask this to he removed, particularly when this has not been earned. Really disappointed, a normally great restaurant that sadly we won’t be visiting again.
Food is always great, but massively let down by the girl that served us. Obviously couldn't be bothered and was very rude when sorting out the bill/tip. We gave 10% but wish i'd given nothing because she didn't deserve it.
Cocktails could be better and not great value.
Had a lovely meal at Cielo Blanco today with an old friend! We dined from the lunch time street food deal, i was pleasantly surprised how much you get to choose from for just £10 each. We also tried one of the new bulldog cocktails which i haven't seen on the menu before, it was a frozen margarita AND a beer in ONE glass - the best things in life combined!
Really couldn't fault this restaurant, especially the staff - our server Genevieve (sp?) was really helpful and nothing too much trouble! We opted for some tacos(fish and Pork) to share and then on to a sharing board - WOW, this was the highlight of the meal and took some eating! Happily beers and cocktails were on hand to help wash this down! Special mention to the music played which really set the tone of the evening, even for an old fella like me!! Will definitely visit again on my next trip to Leeds............ well done Cielo Blanco
Both had the Street Food Experience offer of two dishes and a side for £10 - great value for money and good portion sizes. Started with a queso fundido which was just delicious and then had our mix of street food. Really tasty and a huge drinks menu. We didn't drink as we popped in on a work-break so will definitely be back to try the cocktails!!
One of my favourite spots in Leeds! Vibrant place with vibrant food to match - Squid Tacos from the new menu are just incredible and the Queso Fundido is a cheese lovers paradise!! All washed down with plenty of margaritas from the cocktail menu. I visited with my better half but will definitely returning to try more of their cocktails with the girls!
Staff friendly as always and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in - chatty and full of personality. Already planning my next visit...
Lovely food but exceptional service made it especially good.
Lovely evening. 10 of us in the party. Service was a little bit complacent in places but staff friendly and helpful when we asked for additional things.
Good choice of food which came quickly. Value for money was ace, £53 per couple and that included drinks!
Firstly, the staff were really lovely! There were a few issues, as I booked online we were moved outside as there wasn't enough room inside, the atmosphere was lovely anyway so that was fine. I also rang up the week before to add on 4 more guests but when we got there the table was only set up for 10 so we had to squeeze 4 chairs in.
The staff did what they could for us but it was a bit of a squeeze. We really enjoyed our meal and the food was great. Will definitely come again just maybe not with a large group.
Nice surrounding, food nice. Different to what would normally have. Very good service. Thank you
The restaurant was a bit cold,
We waited along time for anyone to take any order from us . We were just about to leave as no drinks order taken when waitress arrived.
The food all came at oncecwhich I thought was strange as we ordered 6 different tapas dishes and expected it to arrive bit by bit when cooked .
A lot if the dishes were cold , presume this was alll brought to table at same time,
Overall the food was ok but as cold not great,
Great wine selection. Sharing boards are a great eating experience and tasty food.
Great vibe, fab food and good service. Highly recommended.
