Cinnamon Spice - Marylebone
Overall there was a strange lack of intensity of flavour on this second visit (have they changed chef?)
My starter was seekh kebab, fasting strongly of lamb but hardly at all of spices.
The achar chicken was just about ok but the niramish side was black and dense and the sauce didn’t have the character faced with so much potato. My other side was cumin flavoured potato and again the dish was subdued and frankly dull
Sad because they had done well on my first visit a couple of months ago
Very good food and service combined to make an enjoyable evening at Cinnamon Spice. Not the liveliest atmosphere in town but good quality food and not too expensive, considering the area.
Lovely range of currys. Great service helping us to choose and allowing us to stay beyond our meal. Great location between Marylebone and Baker Street tube. Would definitely recommend it.
Great, friendly service and tasty food. Recommended!
Excellent service. Not rushed. Lovely choice of food. Not badly priced. Good value for money. Would definitely return here again. Appreciated the unexpected ice cream birthday cake at the end of the meal. A very nice touch.
Tasteless terrible food! Not to be confused with the other Cinnamon restaurants..
Great food and service, at a very decent cost.
Good food and good service and good prices, what more could you ask for. Will go back again and tell my friends.
Friends get together for a few beers and a curry. Excellent friendly service and a very tasty curry. A good night out
The food was good and the restaurant was able to cater for a member of the group who needed gluten-free. The service was friendly and efficient. The location is convenient for members of my family, being close to Baker St tube station.
While the vegetarian sides were ok, both our mains were unacceptably bad. The butter chicken had not seen butter, and the sauce of the prawn tikka masala was a tomato puree can with added sugar, no spice whatsoever. Service was too brisk, with dishes almost thrown on the table. Value is ok though, so not a rip-off, but not proper Indian cuisine.
Enjoyed our evening meal. Tasty and spicy food. Service was a little slow but overall pretty good
A pretty decent curry, although nothing particularly remarkable. The puddings were far too cold as if they'd just come straight out the freezer - it seems they'd been bought in rather than made by the chef.
Booked the Cinnamon Spice for a party of 10 and all were well catered for. There was an extensive menu of enticing dishes and enough variety to suit all. The dishes were all well prepared and tasty.
Nothing fancy in terms of ambiance but plenty of space at a central location for a good curry.
Outstanding service through-out the evening, great food assisted by the helpful recommendations eg mixed starters. Restaurant has a good / modern ambience and is well located for getting home on the tube, would go again for sure!
Lovely large restaurant but have never been there when it is packed out. Food always of excellent quality and very tasty. Service good and you don't feel rushed at all. Good quality and great value for money.
Handily located restaurant, just two minutes walk from Baker Street. Wide choice of food, very efficient and very friendly service. They really made an effort with us. Somewhere I would go for ease of getting there rather than for a special occasion.
Had a great dinner over a meeting. The restaurant was not too busy or loud. Definitely will return.
This was just the Restaurant I was looking for. A very varied menu with good cooking and perfect to relax in the evening. Centrally located but in a quiet street. Popular with a buzz. Overall a very enjoyable evening
We were looking for a great Indian restaurant close to our hotel. I even checked with the concierge at our hotel who confirmed sending many guests to this restaurant. We were very pleased with every aspect of the meal. Everything was made fresh and portions were ample. The butter chicken and vegetarinan okra dish were amazing. Service was excellent. It was attentive but not overbearing . I wish we lived in London so we could go again.
Food is of a good quality, head waiter was very friendly and helpful. Excellent location next to baker st.
A friend and I had supper at this restaurant. Online booking was easy, the directions excellent and we were greeted in a friendly manner. We had a really pleasant evening, and we will return in due course.
Cinnamon Spice is a favourite! I love the food - excellent veggie variety and excellent quality. And it's the only restaurant I know that serves sprout bhajee!
The service is efficient and friendly. Management and staff really do pay attention to detail.
I'm a regular and I always get a loyalty discount on my food. This makes it excellent value, especially for a restaurant in the Baker Street/Marylebone district.
On this latest visit, I brought a friend who'd never been before. She tried the butter chicken and was most impressed.
Recommended!
There is a decent variety on the menu, the waiters are not afraid to make recommendations, which is great when there are a few unfamiliar items on the menu. The food is simple and fresh and we all enjoyed it, even my yong children.
With all the choice of Indian restaurants in London, I would not choose for this one again.
The food is average, service is poor and the restaurant does not have much of a ambiance. It is conveniently located close to Baker Street but does not have much else going for it.
Great food. Very attentive service. Knew in advance of a nut allergy and took great pains to make sure we had the right dishes. Nice walk from the Hyatt in Portman Sq
Not extravagant, lovely Indian dishes serves hot and tasty. Great, polite service and a varied wine list to ensure we enjoyed our night.
I ate here with a couple of colleagues and found it to be a good experience. Friendly staff, good service and tasty dishes. It slightly lacks atmosphere, but nonetheless we enjoyed the experience.
Cinnamon Spice is situated in a good location, between Baker Street and Marylebone stations. The place was clean and tidy. The waiters were friendly and helpful. However our party of four found the food to be indifferent.
Very quiet on a Saturday early evening and seems to have more of a takeaway client base. However, quite authentic dishes and good service and value for money. Unfortunately not much atmosphere.
Cinnamon Spice was a good quality, everyday restaurant. Service was fine and decor ok but lacking a bit of atmosphere. A solid option for pre theatre but not a special occasion destination.
fantastic food....and a really friendly service. highly recommended.
The restaurant was a little empty when we went - but it was to be expected on a 30 degree day at lunchtime. It would probably have more atmosphere in the evenings. At about 1 min from the tube would be very easy to find, we visited Tussauds first so was literally a 200m walk from there. The food was very nice, the naans well cooked and our currys lovely. The price was a little high for lunch - but we arent from London so maybe it was normal, £45 including tip for 2 mains, 2 Cokes, 1 starter and a tip. Either way, overall didnt mind paying for what we had as it was very nice, but next time would go back in the evening before a show or something.
the sweet dishes were overdone. the hot and spicy dishes were better but not enough to make up. Interior decoration ok and service was friendly.
Warm welcome attentive staff not a great deal of ambience-quiet Saturday lunchtime.
We went to Cinammon Spice late on a Wednesday night. It was pretty full. We had the balti butter chicken and coconut fish, both quite nice and the tandoori grill, which was ok. We had some very good lassis and an enjoyable meal. The food was average, it tasted like the meat was added after the sauce was made, but service was good and the food was fresh.
Cinnamon Spice on Glentworth Street on London was lovely. We arranged a team lunch there and were well looked after. The staff were attentive and very helpful especially towards some of our table who had never eaten Indian before! The food was very tasty. We left quite satisfied.
Dishes were not as we wanted, too sweet and we could not eat them. We mentioned this to the waiter who did not charge us for two dishes.
Excellent food, excellent reception and superb hosting - couldn't have picked a better location for our party of 12.....
Cinnamon Spice Glentworth Street was nice, nothing particularly special about the food, but the restaurant was nice, clean and the people friendly. Would go again as a local place, but wouldnt consider it travel worthy.
