City Social - Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Excellent food and very good service all set in a simply stunning dining room and bar. The meal was flawless with excellent seasonal food, particular standouts were the pigs trotted and hock starter and the venison main. Good range of wines and a good recommendation from the sommelier. Window seat table gave us an amazing view over the city at night. A great spot for a special night out or a romantic liaison.
Fantastic setting and ambiance, the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, however, for me - a little too attentive! I don't like to be fussed over, but to be fair, that is my issue not theirs.
The food was superb, cooked and presented to perfection. A real treat.
A little pricey, but you really do get what you pay for and well worth it for that special occasion.
I came here with my girlfriend for her birthday after the theatre and we had the best time. The service was brilliant we were constantly asked if we needed anything and we’re waited on the whole. Good service goes a long way. The food was fantastic and we both agreed the best food we’ve ever had. The setting was fantastic and you finished it off by giving my girlfriend a birthday surprise cake. Felix the waiter was fantastic and made our visit exceptional . Thank you for everything we will be back for sure.
Everything was fabulous apart from two small things. The lighting above the table meant I couldn't really see my food, and the tables were so close together that the drunk men at the next table kind of ruined the last hour of our evening. Other than that a very handsome occasion!
City Social was booked as I was going to propose to my girlfriend at The Shard. Honestly I could have proposed at City Social.... What an amazing restaurant. The views oh my god was amazing, especially as your sitting talking drinking eating. The waiter was simply amazing. Second to none. I spoke to him about a few things such as timings as I needed to get the shard asap. He talked and walked us through the whole night. Up graded us to window side tables and gave my now fiancèe cake on the house. I am and I will go back one day just to say thank you. He was absolutely amazing. Top bloke. And I haven't even spoken about the food. The food was pefect and I couldn't say a single bad food. I love my lamb and it was 10/10. My fiancèe isn't the biggest lamb fan but she absolutely loved it. Hats of to the chef.
A big fan of Jason Atherton already, I was suitably impressed with my evening at City Social. The restaurant décor is beautifully stylish and every member of staff is lovely. My boyfriend and I were seated at a table by the window with, of course, a wonderful view. I think the views at the bar are the best - and the views from the toilets are also incredible - but you have a wonderful array of city lights glistening at you no matter where you sit.
We started with two gin and tonics, perfectly made before we managed to decide on our food.
As you would expect from the michelin starred chef, each dish was exquisite. Flavour combinations (like my cauliflower tart which balanced curry with lemon) were wonderful and presentation was like a piece of art, for each dish.
I was also surprised with a cake presented in an adorable City Social box as we were celebrating my 23rd birthday.
Everything was perfect from start to finish, I would highly recommend this restaurant. And the prices weren't extortionate either.
