Excellent service, excellent food and wine. As with other Michelin starred establishments, the prices are very high, the wine especially so. The highlight of the evening was the tarte tatin, easily one of the best desserts I've ever had.
It was fine. I booked it as an anniversary treat on the weekend, when in reality this is a more corporate, ‘During the week’ sort of location. Service was attentive and the food was good. My scallops were excellent, as was the cod and ribeye. No real complaints, but for me it lacks pizzazz/‘wow-factor’. It didn’t help that it was a particularly wet day and the views weren’t great. Overall, I think it’s fine for a corporate meal during the week but would not recommend outside of that.
Excellent quality of meal however, I would prefer all main courses to be 'complete' dishes and not to have to add a side dish.
The prices for wine are extortionate.
Table provided was next to kitchen. Acoustic dampening is required. Someone sounded as if they were being murdered in the kitchen. So much so, that we requested to be moved as we could not hear the conversation at the table. The noise was not a one off, it was consistent throughout.
Otherwise, a good experience.
the wine service is very poor and did not have the wine ordered from the menue
Not impressed. Location is good but when you enter the building it looks like a ghost town. The service was not great. Not many staff or they were not paying attention to our table, they weren’t filling our glass of wine, etc.
I has tortellini and was way to salty I could not finish it. My partner had cod and they used to much butter to fry it.
We tried the place and can now tick it off our list but we won’t be coming back.
Having dinner on Tuesday. Good venue, great location. Delicious food.
Excellent food, superb service and great views ... what more could you want
Great views, great food and very attentive staff.
This was booked for my birthday. My request for a window seat was fulfilled and I received a birthday desert which was nice. Overall I was very pleased with the whole experience.
Me and my husband had a great time in City Social, food was amazing and well presented, service was excellent, we will back there again soon
Come here for the view and great wine (their wine list is divine). The food however leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, the food is coated in lots of sauces, accompaniments, etc. which makes it taste good, but when you take these away you realise they mask substandard produce. I had the halibut and without the sauce it tasted terrible. Also, and this may seem like a small point, their gluten free bread is rubbish. From a Michelin star chef I expect better - the gf bread I buy at Waitrose is superior.
Muy buena la comida y la atención
Increíble experiencia culinaria, ambiente, porciones y precios de comida. Seguro volvemos con mucho más gusto. En ningún momento nos dieron hora de salida, todo muy romántico y cómodo
We went to celebrate my partner’s Birthday and we were not disappointed. We started with a drink in the bar, seated by the window before heading to our table in the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We’ve been to Social Eating House but felt the food was not quite as good there. Service was very friendly and we had a great time.
Very nice meal, welcomed for our anniversary and given a window table with excellent views. Service was attentive but unobtrusive, courses well spaced and the food was absolutely delicious. As Coeliac it was good to get advice on the options available and to receive some delicious gluten free bread.
Having set a good standard with the options on starters and main course it was slightly disappointing that the only dessert option was sorbet or ice cream, hence taking away one star.
As a return customer: Pretty good mains but comparatively less surprising appetisers and desserts; seems the waiters have gone bit tired with the ever-arriving guests. Still, a good classy restaurant with decent food and view.
Service poor, noisy, overpriced. Only saving grace was excellent food (when it eventually arrived). Not a good experience for anniversary lunch.
Excellent restaurant, good service and great place for a business lunch but wine very overpriced
the view is stellar and food was delicious. Maybe portions are a bit smaller than usual but if you decide to take a desert you're not leaving hungry
Food and service were absolutely impeccable and I would thoroughly recommend for a special occasion.....Silver Wedding Anniversary in our case.
The only downside was the state of the cloakrooms, which looked a little tired and the state of the Ladies’ lavatories, according to my wife, left a fair bit to be desired.
Nevertheless, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. 👍
My second time at City Social, this time celebrating getting engaged hours beforehand. My fiance and I were treated to superb food, drink, service and a picturesque view of London. Thank you for a truly memorable evening!
We celebrated our anniversary and had the cote de Boeuf for two, it was incredible! Perfectly cooked and with wonderful sides of salad and chips and loads of sauces!
Outstanding service and stunning views of london
Nice spot for a special occasion . Wine list a tad on the expensive side but overall good experience.
amazing views and good food great atmosphere lovely evening out
Amazing restaurant. Lovely food. And stunning view. I would highly recommend it
Wonderful restaurant, stunning food, wine, cocktails and views
Food was very good but not incredible and the service was slightly slow when we were ordering beers. However, when looking at other places to eat with the views City Social offer then I don't think there is a better place to eat.
This was our fourth visit to the city social and having raved about our previous visits, we were very much looking forward to going back.
Sadly the service and food did not live up to our expectations on this occasion.
We had a drink in the bar before our meal with breathtaking views.
The waitress took our order minutes later came back to say the gin was out of stock and we therefore opted for a glass of champagne each ...surprisingly served up in a wineglass. When questioned, The waitress replied we are out of champagne flutes!!
For our main course we ordered the fillet steak with triple cooked chips which were amazing however we found the steak to be very dry and a little tough. Surprisingly the waiter never commented on the unfinished steaks when he cleared the table which prompted me to tell him how disappointed we were with the quality of state. The bar manager then appeared at our table to inform us he will be contacting his supplier and sorry to hear you did not enjoy your steaks. Sadly his attitude did not improve the situation and we won’t be rushing back to the city social
The food was generally excellent but the service was slow are the attitude of the staff was poor. My wife asked for some gluten free bread and it took ages to arrive and was basically inedible. It is a dark and uninspiring interior but clearly has good views. Overall for the money it is not a restaurant I would go back to.
The entrance to the restaurant is disappointing but after that it was great; food ,wine, service
were great. if you want fine dining look no further
While a little tricky to find - as the entrance is down the side of the tower block in which the restaurant is located, and a little daunting to enter via the security check point, the food, views and service were well worth our perseverance. The food was exquisite , the staff were attentive and helpful (we were able to change tables for a better view without fuss). The wine list was extensive and in fact too complex for our needs and we settled on a bottle of house white which complemented our food well. All in all a very pleasurable experience!
Amazing view and very good service, we will definitely come back for a drink with a view. But we won’t come back for the food as it wasn’t exceptional but pricy.
I would have expected more depth of flavour with the food. The service was what you would expect. There are much better restaurants with better food and better views for the price. The wine list was excellent. Overall a little disappointing.
A night out for a family 40th birthday which was a lovely experience.
Get a Beautiful scene of London at your dinner table. Lovely place. Lovely staff. Very romantic.
Food was fabulous, great wine list. Service was extremely attentive.
Food was great, very attentive waiters, only letdown was the toilets weren’t working and overall looked a bit poor.
Fantastic food; scallops then lamb were amazing, and one of the best soufflés I’ve ever had! Service highly professional and not too over attentive. Despite hitting our time limit in the table, they had an identical booth ready in the bar waiting for us to relocate to; nice touch. Highly recommended (and great views of the city)
Excellent lunch with my wife. Everything outstanding apart from the view overlooking the 2 huge buildings going up and I had a small amount of rum spilt on my jacket when the waiting poured it on my rum baba, otherwise perfect.
