Aspers casino- this was a wonderful night out with my friends, the food in the restaurant was really good, the cocktails were well done -and the actual casino was fun.
I’m afraid we all found the restaurant to be average at best. Some of the food was good the rest mediocre really. The waitress hardly appeared and took ages to get our drinks initially and again later although she was pleasant when with us. We only found out about the specials as we left and happened to see the board. It wasn’t pointed out to us. Hardly anyone else in there when we were there, maybe 2 or 3 tables and we were put in the far corner so it was very quiet with no atmosphere really. Overall a disappointing night in terms of venue and so would not return unless it was nearer to christmas when you would expect a livelier atmosphere. Sorry! Was expecting more!
The reviews aren't wrong. Don't go here. The staff were lovely though and they didn't charge me for food that I couldn't eat due to it being disgusting.
We went for the fish and chip night
The meal was great lovely piece of fish and only £6pp
We definitely be going again
Lovely meal which was of the highest quality, highly recommended!
Terrible food, disinterested service, over priced. Do not go here!
Staff were attentive and made us feel welcome without being over-bearing. Also accommodated for vegans (actually double-checked we were happy with what was going to be prepared - fair play!).
Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. Great value for money - especially for Aspers members (membership is free!). My only concern was that the website indicated limited opening hours at weekends only. This is clearly not the case as we ate on a Wednesday evening and maybe the reason the restaurant was not busier.
Food was great, service was good and staff really friendly
I arrived for my meal with my partner and were greeted and taken to our table.
Ambience was good resturant was quiet.
We ordered our meals the waitress wasnt over competent with the menu.
I feel there should be a chicken dish on the menu but I had to settle for the mushroom cous cous.
When the meals arrived I had to send mine back as it was cold.
Getting the attention of the waitress was another issue.
The were not alot of customers in the venue and the three waitresses were more interested in talking to each other rather than the customers.
My meal was reheated in the microwave and sent back out to me.
The meal was fair.
To be honest I don't think I would return.
I am a GM of a bar in Streatham I thought the customer journey on this visit was 5/10

I enjoyed the whole experience, however I was a bit disappointed with the desert. I opted for baked peaches and it basically arrived as a plate of tinned peaches
food was better than expected, waitress gave good customer service, couldn’t ask for more.
We had a lovely meal, very nice staff and the food was good.
Great value Sunday lunch @ £6, starter/puds £2.50ea
Been many times and service can be mixed but generally good.
Recommended & cannot fault the quality for the price!
The service was good. Both myself and my guests were very pleased.
Food was good, everything else was average. Casion was loud and full of anyone and anybody just off the street.
Delicious food well presented. Staff friendly and accommodating . Also liked the ambience. Slight mistake with bill but would definitely dine there again.
Service was shocking. The worst thing about it was that they really couldn't have cared less. The Bar and Casino is brilliant but do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else first (or after). Food was very average, nothing in particular wrong but no better than somewhere like TGI's or Frankie and Bennie's. Don't let the flashy website fool you.
The food was lovely, however the service was shocking! Waiting 20 minutes before being asked if we wanted drinks. When we were placing our food order we ordered everything together to avoid the wait for the server to come back in between. On asking the server what was in what (due to being pregnant) I need to be sure etc, she couldn't answer me, I asked what a poussin was just to see if she knew (maybe that was bad of me) but she didn't know and had to check with the chef! People's food were sitting under the hot plate with the chef shouting service, over and over he had to eventually address an individual to get the food as it seemed not one of the servers pAid any attention to 'service' and it was not a busy evening, it was a Sunday at 6;30! No excuse. Apart from the above, the food was lovely & was not over priced. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.
Had various issues trying to book and get a package deal. When we arrived we asked if we could do the package option and the waitress disappeared for about half an hour before finally coming back to take our order. Whilst it was annoying that it’s been made difficult to take the package option we would have simply accepted that it wasn’t possible but we seemed to be ignored and kept waiting rather than having this simply confirmed to us. Food is very overpriced and all sides are extra. Only the expensive drinks were available all the cheaper options were off. Overall poor service and overpriced. Would not recommend and plenty of better options around westfields.
They have changed the menu last month - didn't like it & it's much more expensive
Went here for a date night, food was horrendous.
Was my favourite restaurant 3 months ago then they changed the menu and staff who weren't very polite.
Not worth the money at all.
Casino outside is great though:)
This resturant needs to close down. Had a reservation booked for over 2 weeks yet when we arrived for an 8pm sitting the run out of virtually everything on the menu if the casino can't be bothered to invest in the resturant they may as well close it
We sat down and waited 20 minutes and still hadn't been offered the chance to order a drink so we got up and left
I usually enjoy dining at Clarys, but this occasion a majority of the food was off the menu and not available, it was not particularly late in the evening but every other option we tried to order was not available which was a bit disappointing.
We couldnt go because my son is 9 and your Stewart didnt let us entry
The food is excellent and you cannot fault the service you are not rushed to eat your meal .you can eat at your own pace.also it is for adults only no young kids allowed so you are able to relax and have a quiet meal with friends and family.i took my mother and sister and brother inlaw to clary's to celebrate my birthday.
late dinner and then on to the casino, perfect for what we was looking for
It was great evening thank you, I felt a little rushed though! Staff were great and friendly
With appreciation of it being Xmas and having 2 large Xmas parties in. Staff were dismissive of a smaller table. We were not shown to our table but the table just pointed too, took 20mins and me having to shout to get menus. Then sadly 2 of the meals the steaks were chewy and not nicely cook.
Hopefully on a less demanding day they provide better service but I will not be returning.
Disappointing! Bad service - had to wait a very long even just to get our drinks even though restaurant was quiet and then didn't have any coke left which is what I was waiting for! Portion sizes small and food was nothing special. I had booked this restaurant as a surprise for my husband's birthday and thought as it was in the casino that it would be something special. Wouldn't waste my money here again. Food was ok but not worth the price.
Was expecting a little bit more, staff attention, didn't expect it to be "fine dining" but this was like eating in your local pub,
The waitress took our food order without writing anything down, nothing wrong with that until she turns up with your mains before your starters, there was roughly 10 diners at the time so wasn't run off their feet, when I challenged it she looked sheepish and then asked if she should take them back?? Well yes!! I think she had forgotten to put starters through.
Overall the food was nice but would possibly recommend you go elsewhere to eat if looking for finer dining, then come in for bar/casino.
Sky Bar really good.
I would recommend this restaurant highly, have been here many times and never once have I had a bad meal.
First class service all the way.
Sunday Roast for £5.00 at Clary's Restaurant. You must have ID if you look under 25 as the restaurant is inside the casino. No ID, no entry!
We were seated fairly quickly but it took the waitress a while to come back to take our order. The venue wasn't busy, so no excuses for keeping us waiting.
For £5.00 for a Sunday roast, you have the choice of beef, lamb, turkey or nut loaf for veggies. You also get a Yorkshire pud, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, pigs in blanket and roast potatoes. Food arrived promptly and the potion size did surprise me. You got 3 good size pieces of your chosen meat. My lamb was moist, but my husband's beef was dry and tough. The gravy was good. The meal needed it. Roast potatoes, tasted like they came out of a frozen bag from Iceland. They were definitely not freshly cooked. The stuffing balls were made out of veg, which surprised me, however it lacked seasoning. The nut-loaf was ok but lacked seasoning. The mushroom sauce which came with the nut loaf tasted like a pack mix sauce that you buy in the supermarket. It was actually disgusting.
Overall, the venue was dead, no atmosphere and very quiet if you were not talking. Back ground music would have helped. The portion sizes were plentiful, but the meal lacked flavor.
Cost wise, the meal is usually £9.95 but we paid £5.00. Would not have been worth a penny more. Our soft drinks were £3.00 a pop. Our drinks came in a plastic bottle and we had to pour ourselves.
The service was poor. We waited ages for our table to be cleared and for the desert menu.
We had a lot of laughs, which made our evening out more enjoyable, but without that, the meal would have been very boring in a restaurant that lacked atmosphere and character even with a casino right next door. Probably won't have this deal again, but might try the other items on the menu...they do a mixed of Chinese and Burgers, chips etc. Thankfully there are lots of other restaurants to try in Westfields.
Great welcoming service with a smile. No persisting intrusion on customer experience
Great atmosphere can't wait to visit again
excellent service waiting staff very keen to make your meal a good experience and the food well presented and very good value would deff recommend a visit
As soon as my son and myself arrived, before we were even seated, we were told that they don't know when they can serve us as only two people were on duty.
This was Sunday lunchtime 1.45pm.
Everything including food was so bad that I would not go there again even if it was the last place on earth.
I guess for as long as the punters are losing money on the tables and machines management dont have a care in the world.
Not great at all, service was very slow. The waiter was however very apologetic and encouraged us to complain to the management. He implied they are constantly understaffed. If you got a special event then don't bother, If your gaming and fancy a bite to eat it's possibly alright. Food was average, nothing to write home about.
We booked this for my daughters birthday as it was central for family to get to on the train. There were not enough staff on duty to cater for the bookings they had. The waiter (Adrian) was lovely and was doing his best but he was rushed off his feet. It took over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The staff were lovely but management need to look at employing additional staff to provide the service you would expect.
Starters good value but bbq chicken wings very messy , prob too much sauce but very tasty . Steak was cooked nicely , overall good value .
