Great food, friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Love the finger snacks and the caramelized eel is amazing.
Came back after a couple of years and another outstanding meal. Come hungry, 4 canapes, 2 extra courses, 7 courses from the menu. Oh and the wine... I come just for the wines from the South West you don't see elsewhere. Everything was a joy from the crisp truffle to the crispy pork. The Cassoulet bonbon was a delight, all the taste in asingle bite. I always find this place a joy. Excellent service too!
Excellent service and food. A wonderful way to celebrate my birthday
We had the five course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was fantastic! The choice of wines fitted perfectly with the dishes. The foie gras brule was exceptional, my second favourite was the
john dori with seaweed variation and kohlrabi - really good!
Staff was very friendly and professional, every wine was explained in detail. We will definitely come back!
The food is excellent and the service impeccable, vale not so sure it was £400 for two. I had the 7 course tasting+ wine my wife just the tasting and one glass of wine. Plus a couple of cocktails to start. Probably 7 glass of wine of a person would be too much but we shared.
I would go again.
Just off of Smithfield Market, Club Gascon is a peaceful haven from the bustle outside offering a delicious bite of France with stunning, delicate and flavourful dishes. Not afraid to take risks, some of the unexpectedly pleasing dishes included a Blue cheese cheesecake and Fired cuttlefish with squid ink. Both superb. Paired with friendly, attentive service and you've got a great recipe for a top tier working lunch or special celebratory dinner.
A gem even though it is far from central london and
requires a trek !
Will make a effort again soon however may be not too soon
just for the effort required !
A restaurant of this quality would be throughly booked throughout if it was more central.
We had to wait half an hour for the fourth serving in our tasting menu. It was almost cold. We received a deduction in our bill when we complained. But we would rather have paid full price for a better experience.
Gorgeous food. Quiet restaurant. Excellent value until of course you up the bill with wine etc.
We will come back
Fantastic lunchtime experience. Staff are attentive and the menu is diverse. Excellent value for money given its Michelin status.
The food is amazing. One of the best restaurants I have ever visited.
Hand written card from chef on table as it was our anniversary - nice touch. Food was sublime. Really enjoyed it all. Thanks to all the Club Gascon team for making it such a splendid experience
Consistently great food. Good service.
Very friendly and attentive staff.
We really enjoyed the food that was served in the most and the atmosphere was beautiful.
Only a partial let down because the bathroom was tiny and there were a couple dishes that we didn’t appreciate as much.
Generally a beautiful experience. We would recommend
Absolutely top class. Everything from the welcome onwards, every detail was spot on. This is a very well run place, and the food was incredible. We opted for a tasting menu paired with wine, everything was well explained and every wine matched the taste profile of the food superbly. Loved it!
Always a wonderful place, excellent food, very pleasant and quiet service. One of my favorites in London
Wonderful food with attentive staff, top class
Nice to find a quieter restaurant. Top quality service and great dishes although not as consistent as I had hoped across the menu. Sweets a particular treat. Good list of wines by the glass.
Delicious food with some fascinating taste combinations and beautiful presentation. I will definitely be back for more!
Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Wide variety of food and flavours.
We made our reservation with Club Gascon through OpenTable over a month in advance. I also spoke to the restaurant personally by phone. We gave them our credit card information, because they said that if we did not show up, there would be a £40 charge per person. We received message from OpenTable 24 hours advance to ask if we were still coming. We answered that we were. When we arrived, Club Gascon was closed for a bank holiday. We spent £25 to get there in a taxi and then £25 to get back to our hotel. We were not happy.
Another meal at this terrific restaurant. Excellent food and service. A super evening. They do everything so well. Attentive , it not intrusive. Great sommelier, who is knowledgeable and interesting. Wonderful and creative, but not whacky , food. Things you want to eat, beautifully presented
Nice restaurant, but not in a good location. The view outside is not good.
We came to Club Gascon for the first time for our anniversary and had a wonderful evening. Everything was perfect, from the exquisite food - a great mix of tradition and experimental creativity- to the diligent and discreet service and the romantic, cosy atmosphere of the restaurant. We must commend the sommelier especially. She was fun, very knowledgable and gave us great guidance. We were so happy we followed her recommendation! Altogether a fantastic experience. Congratulations!
Even though the food was really creative and the service excellent there were several mistakes in what we tasted. We had the 5 dish menu and what stood out as a really poor plate was the lamb which was very chewy and the croquette extremely salty.
Food was amazing, service was amazing! We did one normal and one vegetarian tasting menu, was not disappointed!
My family have been before and we’re always amazed by our experience. The food and service is faultless, thank you again Club Gascon for making my birthday so special. I also loved the added touch of a birthday card from the restaurant! One of my favourite restaurants I’ve ever been to.
Creativity is the right word for this restaurant. An example is the outstanding Lamb with fish sauce.
Wine fantastic. Service was professional and very friendly. The location is great
Love this restaurant, outstanding service and excellence food
A wonderful tasting menu that challenges your tastebuds. A must for all good foodies
Good food and very modern French. Decoration is very good. Will visit again.
Perfect service. Somellier gave excellent information. Need to expect French haute cuisine at it’s best, and definitely allow yourself to “go with the flow”. Listen to recommendations and follow it.
Very beautifully served food.
But In the tasting menu had very very small portions
High expectations were exceeded at this wonderful French, Gascony, restaurant. From first greeting, through service, wine selection, amuse bouche, the dinner and on to a reluctant farewell, everything was superb. Our only regret was that Arturo Granato was on vacation. However, his well drilled brigade did not miss a beat as they produced some of the finest food we have eaten this year.
The amuse bouche were delightful, witty, exciting and surprising.
We shared an ultimate Duck Caviar D'Aquitaine - simply sensational, served with verve and imagination. We then had a "take on the cassoulet" - sublime - and Aged native beef, cured tongue, courgette flower. Impeccable. Rich, deep, satisfying, memorable. We drank a 2003 Monastere De Saint Mont, recommended by a knowledgeable charming Sommelier. It was so refreshing being advised by a young female Somellier, a master of her craft.
The setting is eclectic - splendid faux art deco lights set against steel mesh border - and the restaurant is small, intimate but above all welcoming.
This is an excellent restaurant, arguably worthy of a second star. It is not though a traditional restaurant, and all the better for it. Diners who arrive with curiosity and an open mind are in the a gastronomic treat. We wish the Club Gascon team, and all future diners, happiness and success.
Excelent experience with rare ultra fine French regional cuisine in London. Well deserved star, and after the second. Slightly overpriced wine list, but very robust.
Cuttlefish perfect as were some of the tasting extras. Service attentive. Acoustics excellent.
Great value for the adventurous tasting menu provides. The Chef really takes you on a journey. Service was good. Overall place was great. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.
Following a recommendation I received from a friend, I booked Club Gascon when another good friend was visiting in London. We had the seven course tasting menu with accompanying wine pairing and we both agreed that it is amongst the best we’ve ever had - especially as my friend has dined around the world.
This was my first visit, but I will definitely be back. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, with exceptional food and wine. The staff were polite, friendly and very efficient. All in all, a class act and a real find.
Delicious tasting menu with interesting wine pairings. Professional and engaging service. Expensive but worth it for a special night out.
