Very accommodating restaurant for a large reservation.
Server was informative, attentive (but not disruptive)band friendly. The restaurant’s decor is suitable for a celebration but casual enough for comfort. Lovely food presentation and tasty. Thank you!
Took a party of 8 for a birthday party, ordered off the menu. Our party arrived in a staggered manner, and this seemed to throw our server off his game. The wine that we ordered for the table and the water was slow in coming. Our server walked away when we asked to order. The shared appetizers and mains were good, though the doneness of the liver and onions was inconsistent to what was ordered. The kitchen sent out a dessert platter that was impressive including flourless items, cotton candy and a birthday greeting which was appreciated.
Always a great experience and food is top notch. Great work!
Was there for Family Day with some family who’d not been to Cluny’s before. They were all very impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant and the beautiful decor. Food was delicious and loved the bread. Overall had a great brunch and bought some additional pastries to take home which were amazing.
The food was bland and unremarkable, the service was just fine, and the ambiance and decor sloppily contrived. Cluny is a disappointment for those seeking a fine French bistro...
Definitely the best onion soup in the city! I would also recommend the coq au vin poutine. Had a wonderful dessert with homemade cotton candy on top. Excellent service.
Outstanding food, lovely restaurant design and attentive service. Nicely done!!
Great food, noice level high, some tables location need to be reviewed as they are on n the middle of the passage.
Food is so fresh, quantity and quality no matter if it was the kids menu or adult menu. Excellent meals
In general this is amazing French bistro spot with delicious food, yet our great experience was ruined by the poor service and negligence of our waiter!!! Hope the administration will re-consider its employees
Already looking forward to our next visit!
Waiter was fantastic.
Great atmosphere and menu. The service was great. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed it as much as we did. The food was fantastic.
Ambiance is lovely but food was not terribly impressive. Very disappointed with the mimosa - served with flat Prosecco. For the prices charged, meals should be outstanding.
Three experiences at Cluny. Food subpar on two of three. Enjoyed the beef dip on second experience and ordered again on Saturday Feb 16 for brunch. Disgusting cut of beef, extremely fatty and sinewy with large pieces of gristle/cartilage. To be fair the rest of the meal was not bad but this was the main feature. When I brought this to the attention of waiter (Armonde, who was excellent), he relayed to the Manager who took no action. Did not come to speak with us, did not offer compensation of any kind. Difficult to write the review as the overall experience was mixed and inconsistent. My main reason for not returning is the lack of assurance that a serious issue involving food quality was appropriately addressed.
It was my boyfriend and I's first time going to this restaurant, and it was for valentine's day. Right when we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great experience. The lights were dim which made it more romantic in my opinion. Our server Mark was amazing and he sure knew everything on the menu.
We got the seared scallops from the special valentine's menu, and when I tell you it was delicious, it was over the top. For the main course though we got steak and it was a little chewy and bit dry for me. But the FRIES were flavourful and what really stood out for me. You can never go wrong with Cluny's fries.
We wanted a very light dessert since the main course was quite heavy so our server recommended "Le coconut" which was visually pleasing because it literally looks like a mini coconut! It was light and creamy and everything on the plate was really good. Cluny is known for their amazing dessert selection so I believe anything on the menu results to satisfaction. Nothing but good words.
It was a great restaurant! The ambiance was amazing and the service was spectacular.
Beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food! Can’t wait to come back!
Steak was over cooked, fries were cold and dry, sparkling water had no bubbles. Great service, but food lacked the quality for the price point.
Valentine’s Day date with my wife - we came very early as we know it takes a long time and it did. Food was great but portions too small. Charge more and give bigger portions.
Monkfish entree was disappointing, not much flavour, too much going on
We ordered foie gras appetizer, oyster with caviar, seared scallops, and filet steak with seared foie gras.
As a foie gras lover, I am very happy with what I had.
The seared scallops were tasty, but the portion is too small. Steak is just so so.
Our experience was great! Food was amazing and especially want to thank our server, Howard, who was so knowledgeable about the wine and oysters and made our dinner really special :)
Love this place, will definitely be back!
Came for winterlicious
Fishy tasting salmon tartare
Excellent blueberry sorbet
Great location and ambience but food was mediocre. I returned the salmon tartare appetizer as it had the strongest fish odour i have ever had. i could smell it before it landed in front of me. substituted a ceasar salad which looked good but lacked a good dressing. Frites were not that warm. Overall food execution was lacking.
Winterlicious menu with drink pairings was wonderful
We came for the Winterlicious menu and the steak was extremely chewy. My boyfriend had the same dish and his was fine so I think I just had bad luck. The service was excellent and the meal overall was ok. Nothing spectacular to bring me back. However, not sure if the other menu items might be more worth it.
I found Cluny to have great staff, and extremely cute inside! Food was good.
To my surprise they had winterlicious menu available. Great meal.
Delightful, accommodating, and unpretentious - we had a great first time visit to Cluny for Winterlicious, made all the more pleasant by the effervescent and very efficient Mark.
Went to Cluny for Winterlicious. I would say the food was good but not great. Salmon tartar lacked salt. The salmon was nice, but also lacked seasoning, however the rice pilaf was delicious. Oysters were good, but overpriced. Dessert was delicious, and nice atmosphere. Our server was fantastic.
The brunch menu is not the best. I was expecting more.
brunch was fantastic. initially went for a winterlicious but they only offer Winterlicious lunch during weekdays.
Great food and excellent service. A great occasion place.
Fantastic experience - Brunch was amazing (Lobster Egg's Benny) my wife and I had and service was outstanding - (*Hats off to our waiter- his name was VINCENT) - best serviced we have had a restaurant,) - also Vincent went out of his way to bring my wife a decorative plate with a candle for her birthday which we were celebrating.) - Excellent Bruch will definitely go back
Food was cold, and uninspiring.
The server was amazing and presented himself in a very professional manner. I was actually going to speak to the management as he was terrific a real keeper. The food on the other hand was great for the oysters as this is usually what we come for and the wine is great. The main course the salmon was great but what was served with the salmon was very strange and the foam on the whole dish was not good at all. The desserts are just OK really not great. The entree I cannot comment on as in error we did not receive but the waiter was so great and felt so terrible. We always go for the soup and oysters and I think I will stick with this in the future. Love the restaurant and go quite often. Thanks
I generally love this place but it was a really poor food experience this pst Saturday. Even the fries were hard and bland. The tar tar was almost room temperature (which was warm) and bland. The soup was ok at best. The steak was good. The fries were not. The salmon dish fell really short. The deserts were good. Overall, Not a well done evening.
It was great meal and atmosphere:) coming again next week :)
