Clyde's at Mark Center
Indoor, Outdoor, Carryout
We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

Excellent service and the most customer protection and policies I have observed at a business for COVID-19 risk reduction. The manager, staff and person who developed the Clyde brand COVID-19 response should be commended. Excellent food and impressive service.
Food quite good. Tents set up in parking lot with tables positioned for distancing. Glad they required mask of staff and customers. Will return!
My experience was and always will be wonderful at Clyde’s.
In pre-covid days, Clyde's was our GoTo office-lunch place. The food is reliably good, and the menu is varied enough that everyone can find something to enjoy. What's different now is the way Clyde's is handling the strange times we're living in.
The restaurant has covered a large area of the parking lot with a tent or an awning. Tables are at a distance from each other; staff wear masks and gloves; fans keep air circulating, probably as much to deal with the heat as to deal with the virus. There is a hand sanitizer at the entrance to the tent, and staff seem to be efficiently sanitizing tables and chairs. The three of us found the atmosphere pleasant despite the heat, and though we're all very cautious right now, we felt very safe.
I can't speak to the way Clyde's is handling seating inside the restaurant; however, I recommend the outside eating that has been set up.
Solid covid etiquette with outdoor tent covered seating, clear mask expectations, and contactless payment options. Food was delicious and great ambiance despite circumstances.
Great experience dining at Clyde’s! Social distancing was respected through the entire visit! Face mask required while entering, going to the bathroom and while talking to waiter as well as when food is brought to your table. Inside, every other table was blocked off and there were many table added to the parking lot area under the tents, if you prefer dining outdoors! I felt very safe and respected and food was delicious!

Annemarie is The Best 👏🏼
We had extra benefit of military flyover directly above, en route White House “Salute to American Heroes” 🇺🇸🎉🎇
The social distancing and the way it is handled is EXCELLENT ‼️‼️
Excellent experience but... It is my wife’s birthday and she is a nurse and is in the Frontline. We reserved at 8:45pm coz she finishes late at work. The only issue I have is we felt like they are rushing us. Server keeps telling us the kitchen and bar is closing soon so we feel like we are being rushed. No time for a dessert cake. If I only knew we would have crlebrated else where
Would have rather been seated in main dinning room instead of bar area. There was plenty of room given restrictions.
We are always very pleased with the food and service at Clyde's and were especially pleased to see how well they managed all aspects of dining safely as we deal with the corona virus situation.
Clyde's is always great for food quality and service attentiveness.
We took advantage of Clyde’s recent half-off offer to try outside dining at the Mark Center location, and we had a lovely dinner! We felt safe and comfortable as we dined under a big tent complete with fans, masked staff and patrons, socially distant tables, and single use menus. We were able to relax and enjoy a delicious meal, thanks to the extra efforts put forth by the staff. We will be back!
Service was a bit slow. Also Clyde's may want to invest in some citronella candles for the outside diners
I was very impressed with how responsible the restaurant was with safety protocols.
Everything was perfect except that I thought $3.95 for a small glass of ginger ale was ridiculous.
The food was great. It took awhile before our dinner order was taken but we had appetizers and drinks. I appreciate the outdoor dining setup and that I could select outdoor dining on my reservation.
Been going to Clyde’s Mark Center for many years n always enjoy it. Because of COVID the menu now is much more limited n thought it was a little bit too expensive for lunch. Other than that all was fine, good service, disposable menus etc.
Clydes had done dinning the best since COVID. The outdoor seating was very pleasant and the tables were very well spread out. I loved that the wait staff talked to use from a distance and made sure that everyone at the table masked up before they approached the table. It felt really good knowing they were taking the safety of their staff so seriously. It made me feel like they were equally concerned about my safety.
Delightful dining al fresco — like a vacation spot!
Made 🎂🎉 extra special — thank you 👏🏼
Our go-to place for special occasions or when we just feel like treating ourselves. They handled the current restrictions very well!
Nice adaptation for social distancing.
Our server Daniela was fantastic! Drinks were great and it was a very relaxed atmosphere.
We were there for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had a great waitress, it was nice and quiet and I felt their COVID safety precautions were well done.
Service was great. Our food was tasty but options were too limited. Overall everything was lovely.
Clyde's Mark Center has done a very thoughtful job of outside seating suitable for these pandemic times. I never felt the least uncomfortable. It was my first time eating out since March so I did go a little wary. Tables are well spaced under tents in the adjacent parking lot, with fans to keep it comfortable. The fan blows in from an open area, not from nearby tables. The food is the same great seasonal choices as before with a somewhat smaller menu considering there are fewer of us. Service was excellent.
Great service- both crab cake sandwich and soft shell crab sandwiches came without sauce of any kind- and cole slaw was also not included although for at least crab sandwich it said it was. My Dad has the Reuben - it was great.
Service was terrible. Waited over 50 minutes for our meal. Other diners were seated and ate and left BEFORE we received our meal. None of the orders were tricky for a kitchen. Very disappointed.
Honestly, they are doing a really good job of making the dining experience tolerable during the covid restrictions. However, they seem to have a ton of managers standing around and not helping. Their front of house staff were absolutely overwhelmed by (extremely needy) take out orders and are doing their best. While we waited for our table, (with 2 other groups and 3 pick up orders behind us) 3 or 4 managers were just watching the whole mess happen. Hopefully they were just trying to get into the “dining during Covid” routine and that’s not how they treat their staff all the time.
Go support these servers and give them a smile, they’re going to need all the support they can get!
I bought the Chesapeake Bennie which was scrumptious. The Bourbon Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding was also a delight.
Always great service and outstanding food!
Great food and service.
It is always refreshing and it why my girlfriends and I always meet up here. Thanks.
The food here has always been phenomenal, but this location has kept their service world class over the years (we have been revisiting thus location for more than 17yrs). If you are lucky enough to get Peter as your server, he is 2nd to none.
Food and service were both great. I will definitely return.
Very good. Our waiter was excellent.
It was great!
A reliably good meal, in a good atmosphere with good prices.
Our waitress was amazing and the food was great as usual!
We love spending time here and will dine here again!
Clyde's has been my favorite restaurant in the area for 40+ years. It consistently delivers a wonderful meal at a fair price with great service and ambiance. I am glad the tt the change in ownership has not outwardly affected this DMV mainstay.
