Clyde's of Gallery Place
This is second time since November I have reserved a table at Clyde’s
Both times we waited from thirty to forty five minutes to be seated after our reserved time.
This will be our last dining experience
We sat in Aretha’s section for the Michael Buble concert and had the best time! She provided great service and knew it was 2 couples without their children for the first time in a very long time! If you ever go to Clyde’s in a Chinatown request Aretha as your server. You will not be disappointed!
It's hard to go when there is a show at Verizon center. They are running behind in reservation times. Wait to be seated was too long.
Not sure what happened the night we were there. We had a reservation and still waited a half hour for a table. There was a concert that night but we never had that problem before. Food was good and came out fairly quickly. Our waiter comped me with a double glass of wine for the wait. Still a favorite place to go before a concert.
Our waiter was rude. Service was good and food good.
Excellent food and superior service. Will return again.
This was a great option pre-concert. Service was outstanding, food was good, and prices were reasonable.
The service was poor and slow. My food was terrible - it was vegetable curry and there was hardly any tofu and the vegetables throughout were tons of hard, bad tasting mushrooms. I usually like mushrooms, but I'm not sure what kind these were. I couldn't eat them and the amount served was tiny. Not worth the price.
Great meal as always! When I come DC I always make a reservation and eat at Clyde’s.
The food was outstanding and so was the service. This is a really fun and nice place to have dinner. You will never be disappointed.
Amazing food and friendly staff. Service was great!
Not a long wait, of course parking was a little difficult because of the location. Food was GREAT though, server was really nice. Was a little Noise because we were sat next to the window near the street, between the street performers, inside music, and people talking in general it was a little difficult to have a decent conversation w/o talking loud
Great overall. Will go back again
The food was good. The space is nice. Our server was “nice “ but a bit overwhelmed as he had too many tables.
Clyde’s is an easy pick when you don’t know where else to go
This restaurant was great!! The food was great and the waiters were engaging and friendly.
Well worth the money. My waiter was a little slow, but she did give me a special birthday treat. Appreciated the fact that the other waiters took the initiative to help out. Spinach was cold, but other than that everything was great. Definitely would return!
Our Valentine's Day experience at Clyde's Gallery Place was simply wonderful. We had a table for two out on the sun porch. Our server was extremely professional and it was a pleasure to have a sense of a serving team when we had questions when she was not available. We had the Hanger Steak and Catfish for dinner, both were very good. We ended our evening with Chocolate Covered strawberries, nice portion of 4 strawberries. We then headed off to Ford's Theatre, which is just a 3 block easy walk.
Great Ambiance and really good food. The waiter was very attentive and frequently checked on us.
Asked for a quiet table and got one...thank you.
Food and service always reliable. We had a very loud toddler near us - a place as big as this might consider having a family section so business discussions need not be part of socializing the youngest of guests!
Superb value for money. The ambience makes it for the food quality and choice of drinks. Efficient service.
Service was slow but the food was great. If they are trying to save money by cutting back on servers, that is a poor way to do business. It was the evening of a Caps game, you know you will be busy.
Love Clyde's, especially before a Caps game. The atmosphere and professionalism of the staff is amazing. Great menu, the food came out quickly, unfortunately the drinks did not. Hockey fans pregaming likely led to this but we didn't mind. Highly recommend Clyde's of Gallery Place.
The only thing there was no whole lobsters on the menu, and that was bizarre for this restaurant to be as extravagant and upperclass fine dining. We looked online and there seemed to be false advertising on your pictures of your entrees show whole lobster and that's one of the main reasons for our visit to Clyde's.
The Food and Service was great and timely. We will be back.
Went after Georgetown Basketball game, a little crowded (due to Georgetown game ending and a Capitals game to start later that evening). But they were very efficient in honoring our reservations. Our server was professional and efficient. The food was delicious as usual.
Service and food were above average. Took a bit to get seated with reservation after Georgetown game. Overall, very satisfied with Clyde's.
The hostess was amazing. I didn’t get her name but Clyde’s was innodated with people after the Georgetown game let out and she managed herself and the restaurant beautifully with little help. We were seated quickly and efficiently.
Unusually slow service on a Sunday at 1 pm.
I dine at Clyde's fairly often and am always impressed with how friendly and fun the wait staff is.
We had reservations for 5:45 and did not receive water or bread until 6:30pm. This was after we requested the manager. We had tickets to the game at Capitol One Arena and were looking forward to a nice meal before the game. In addition, it was my husband's birthday. Very disappointed in the service.
Moved to the sandwich side. The hamburgers were a revelation. Very flavorful and a good size. I recommend. I'm back.
Jamil was very knowledgeable about the drinks speedy service can’t wait to come back
Go there before every Caps home game. Had a problem with the kitchen being backed up this time but the manager came over and comped our meal!!! Always great service - this was an exception but the manager made up for it and we still made it for puck drop.
Service very slow. Granddaughter’s French toast was burnt.
