Everything went well with our dinner. Originally, we waited about 10 minutes to be serviced but once we did, everything was great. Our server was great. She had an awesome personality and made a good connection with us. The food was amazing and we loved being outside. The hosts were great too. Greeted immediately and with energy.
Drinks were small and expensive but excellent! Food was amazing. Best bread ever. We had a great server too.
Excellent service by Matthew. Great recommendations on drinks! Good food with appropriate portions.
Visited Clyde’s after spending the day touring the Smithsonian. Food, service and value exceptional…will be back next time we travel to DC.
Glassware and silverware were DIRTY. Service took forever which is understandable since they were quite busy but they forgot about our drinks multiple times and the food just was not good for the price. I’ve loved having dinner here but brunch just wasn’t good
Although the food was great, we noticed most of the restaurant got their food about an hour after ordering it. Not sure if there was an issue in the kitchen, but they did bring us coffee cake in the mean time which was very good.
Understaffed and poorly trained crew. Waited almost an hour for a simple appetizer. Main meals came out 3 minutes later. Not worth it.
I got the french toast and it was drenched in syrup the first time it came out. I sent it back. It was completely soggy in the middle the second time it came out. They also only give you one texas toast sized bread. If it were good I would've had to order additional food. I asked for crispy bacon; it was undercooked. We did not enjoy the food. The server and hostess were nice.
Great place for any meal while visiting Georgetown, DC
We had the Manhattans and Ruebens. Great food. Great service. Great cocktails!
Sat outside on a warm Thursday afternoon. Service was attentive and the food came out hot. Very noisy as we were right on M Street. Definitely would go again!
Food is not as good as it used to be but the service we received made the whole experience amazing. Ever since this pandemic started I can honestly say that I haven’t received good service but Sean made our night. Thank you
Birthday- sat in back room indoors but felt like being outside and had the whole room to ourselves
Well, as we go fairly frequently and are rarely disappointed, we had a bit of an issue with this visit. My husband ordered the calamari, usually very good, this time it was just plain weird.. Very dry. When we mentioned to the waiter he removed it from the bill, which was most gracious, and a result we really hadn't intended. The rent of the meal was as expected (mussels and a blue cheese burger). the burger was delish.
I've been coming to Clyde's whether in Georgetown or their suburban locations, and even their sister restaurants for nearly forty years. I can't say that I've ever had a bad experience. Yesterday was wonderful in every way. I left DC for Philadelphia, then Chicago and we always get back to one of the restaurants whenever we can.
Great experience and service.
We recently moved to Georgetown and Clyde’s was on our list of places to try. Did not disappoint.
We stopped here with our daughter for lunch while visiting Georgetown. Our waiter was wonderful, the booth we were sat in was comfy, food was quick & very good. They have a kids menu. Glad we made a reservation because it was very packed during lunch. Solid choice in Georgetown.
Our server was a little slow; but very nice. My eggs came out cold.
Overall, I will return.
Wonderful food and service. We will be back for sure!
Food was seasoned and cooked well. The tables were a bit small, but we managed.
Good but not great relative to others places in DC and fairly long way from downtown / our hotel.
The food was good - pricey but tasted good. We tried the calamari as an appetizer - crisp, flavorful sauce, and the peppers were a nice touch. Had the burger - which was decent, nothing outstanding - and a salad with salmon. Salad portions were generous, salmon cooked well but overall needed some seasoning. Highlight was our server who was VERY attentive, helpful and enthusiastic. Overall, I would return.
It was a lovely evening the food was yummy and the waiter matt was outstanding… would come back
After we ordered, some people sat down next to us. They were served, finished lunch, then left. We were still waiting for our food to be served. There was no explanation from our waitress. When I found her, she said that the kitchen was overwhelmed by a greater number of people than had been expected.
We sat in the atrium. It was quite noisy. We had requested a less noisy table in the main part of the dining area.
Great! Very lively and friendly staff with a local feel
Great suggestion by Nicole to get the catfish lunch. Always great suggestions and service from Nicole. Delicious fish, great vegetable mix as a side.
If only the Brits would have beaten the Italians...
The food and our server Fredo were outstanding.
Nice dinner/lunch destination in Georgetown if you’re visiting. Decent food and drink options. We made a reservation and were seated right away.
Great food! Well priced! Quick service! Would come back for sure!
The food was delicious. My only complaint is that we were seated in a room outside of the kitchen and every time a staff member went in or out of the kitchen they would yell “CORNER!” loudly which was disruptive and a bit annoying.
Another excellent suggestion from Chris. The steak salad had been slightly altered, no longer having beets, which aren't my favorite. Chris also had great info on wine corking fees.
The steak in the steak salad was rare, just to my liking. Great salad, great service, another great time at Clyde's Georgetown.
My family and I enjoyed an excellent Independence Day brunch. The restaurant was very flexible as we had to adjust the time of our booking and once we arrived my daughter insisted on an inside table despite the fact we're reserved outside but the were able to accommodate all of this. And the food as always was excellent. We will be back!
Outside seating wasn’t what I expected. I didn’t realize it was sidewalk seating when I made the reservation. I wouldn’t do that again but overall the dinner was great. Our server was great and very attentive. Drinks were delicious. I had the sea bass and it was so good! We would definitely go back just sit inside next time.
We had originally requested outdoor seating, however, when we arrived and realized the outdoor seating was curbside only and high traffic with exhaust fumes, we asked for indoor seating. We were quickly led to a table and enjoyed excellent service. Prices are reasonable and food is somewhat bland yet cooked as ordered. I've had better
Outstanding food, outstanding staff and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend!
Iconic and the original Clyde's. Service was not up to par and I understand as they are no doubt trying to recruit and train staff like many restaurants which is especially difficult in DC in general because it's impossible to actually live in DC on the wages/tips that workers get.
Weather was great and we ate outside. Food was great too and definitely recommend the chicken rice bowl!
Great food and service!
Our waiter made great recommendations, the watermelon margarita was delish— something on the menu for everyone. Will definitely come back!
