Clyde's Willow Creek Farm
Jose was our server and he was great! The lobsters were just the right size for a late dinner! It was just a fun time! We like going to Clyde’s! We are never disappointed with our food and service!
We had hoped to be seated on the patio, however it rained. The restaurant did call us in advance to let us know, and this was appreciated. They also were kind to accommodate us to have a nice window seat with a view of the patio. Throughout our meal though there were ants on the table. We made the manager aware of this, however he did not offer any type of accommodation, just assured us he would take care of it. There is also a very musty smell throughout the restaurant. I had a salad and it was average. My bill was around $33 prior to tip for a chicken salad and a glass of rose. I would return for the patio atmosphere, however I was somewhat embarrassed to have brought my first time guest to this restaurant given them bugs and smell. I would not return to eat indoors again.
Great drinks, food, and service.! Clyde’s Broadlands never disappoints.
Had a wonderful dinner at Clydes! Everything was perfect from start to finish. We're loving the fact that our favorite neighborhood gem has also stepped up with it's menu and dependable good food.
We were celebrating my sisters birthday, and they had a cake already for us that we ordered ahead of time. It was fabulous! And the server, William, was awesome! We will ask for him next time we go!
Couldn’t have been better! The restaurant had a wedding and many homecoming goers but they made our visit special. Can’t wait to go back.
Service was good but the noise level was too high. Since our visit was on Saturday for lunch, we were able to get burgers at 1/2 price ...but they were cooked medium instead of requested medium rare. The big disappointment was the lobster pie...contrary to the server's glowing promotion of it, there were only a few pieces of lobsters in a very bland sauce.
Excellent food. Festive atmosphere.
Always a lovely venue and our server, Sam, was great as always. I had a special request for my dinner and Sam made sure to communicate my request to the excellent kitchen staff.
The desserts are to die for and they do an excellent job with the seafood. Unique decor makes the experience even better. Seems like a great place to hold a nice event like a birthday or a rehearsal dinner too!
We have been to this restaurant many times. This time, it was for just us, celebrating our 24th anniversary. T
We did not receive the customer service we have grown to expect on 8/31 and 8/24. On 8/31, our waitress appeared distracted and was inattentive. We were seated for a longer than normal period of time and had to ask for water glasses to be filled when the rest of our party arrived. When we were ready to order, there was another lull before our order was taken. I did not get the correct salad dressing ordered and gave up on asking for what I ordered. 8/24, we asked to be seated at another table as we were seated next to a large noisy party, despite the fact that all other tables in the room were empty. It appears to be a practice to seat everyone near each other even when the dining room is empty.
In terms of the food, the quality overall was good, however, we were disappointed in the 5 few scallops served with the main menu item
During both visits, I felt there was an air of ambivalence among the staff, beginning with no one at the desk to seat us and four people scurrying in and out before we were acknowledged and eventually seated. Sadly, our guests from out of town commented on the lack of service.
Clyde’s of Willow Creek has been one of our favorite places
to dine. However, we are assessing our recent experiences and wondering if we should give Clydes of Willow Creek a “Strike 3” option or take our business elsewhere.
Five of us had lunch, each a different dish. I had not realized that 1 p.m. on Saturday would be Brunch-Lunch, but it worked OK. We were in a room near the bar, with an extra chair at the end of a booth. The service was somewhat slow but we were enjoying a leisurely lunch. Each person ate most of what was served and seemed to enjoy the flavors. Mine was a bagel with smoked salmon, tomato, egg-salad spread across a plate so I could leave half of the bagel. We were celebrating two birthdays and these diners got a choice of dessert. My peach cobbler was not special.
The reservation was made with the note that it was a birthday. NOTHING was mentioned, at all, about that. We enjoyed the outside dining but as it grew dark, there should have been a candle at the table (neighboring table propped their cell phone with the flashlight on on top to their wine bottle in order to be able to see their appetizer) or the tree lights should have been turned on. The waiter, Ronald, was not particularly attentive. We seemed to often need to try to get his attention. We like Clydes Willow Creek but tonight's experience was not up to par, particularly because it was a special event.
The Pork chop was phenomenal and so was the 3 cheese mac
Food is really good, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Service from Janna was outstanding.
WAs quiet because we saw outside!
Food and service were excellent.
What a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Outstanding service wonderful ambiance and excellent food. We celebrated our birthdays with family and there was something on the menu for everyone. The summer rice bowl was very tasty and filling. The steak and crab cake was a favorite of the table as were the scallops. The baked shrimp scampi was a new take on an old favorite- and it was delish! We will definitely be back!
Had a wonderful brunch with my daughter and some of her friends. It was her 50th birthday.
We were able to stay and talk way past finishing brunch. The staff was very obliging .
Oh yes, food was wonderful.
Great food and service
I always love coming to clydes as there are so many restaurants and bars to choose from. We had the private back room for a celebration, great service good appetizers and drinks.
Beautiful place. Nice to walk around though not as many flowers as in past years. Bread was fresh and warm. Irish old-fashioned cocktail delicious. Food and service have deteriorated. Quiche arrived lukewarm, Caesar salad was tasteless. Request for leaving chicken off rice bowl for vegetarian was ignored. Hardly saw waiter and had to ask front desk to get him. Waited long periods for drinks, to put in order, to get desert menu and bill. Two and half hours total for lunch.
Clyde's is a great local place for us - within walking distance, Great for dinner, late night, and entertainment! Always great service!
We don't live close to this location so this was only our second meal here and our first dinner. We usually go to the Mark Center location, which was across the street from my office. It's still there. I'm retired. This restaurant and the meal there turned out to be better than our last experience in Alexandria. It's in a nice building, in a pretty setting, with plenty of parking space. The inside is an equestrian reflection of the chain's different themes. The service was excellent (it still was in Alexandria too). The menu was extensive. Our server made great recommendations. Our choices were hot and tasty, We both especially liked the shared, lightly breaded fried calamari because of the variety of flavors provided by the squid itself, the fried red onion, the fried jalapeno and the sweet Thai chili sauce. The baked shrimp scampi sounded different so we each ordered that as our main course. It was good, but we'd try something else the next time around. There were many, many more choices. We're moving in the next couple of months to a new home about 6 minutes from them. We'll be back.
Celebrating birthday & first time we seen each other for 34 years!
We had the scallops- wonderful dish!
Food was excellent and service was great! Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
The food was great as always! Our waiter was very professional and went out of his way to respect dietary restrictions. I had a Nicoise salad with salmon. It was cooked to perfection. Two other guests had the Walter special, which they loved. The only meal that was just so-so was the sockeye salmon. We had the crème brûlée and chocolate flourless cake for dessert. Both of which were fantastic and provided an excellent ending to our 40th wedding anniversary!
This is our go-to restaurant to celebrate any occasion! We love Clydes at Willow Creek!
Fabulous. Took my parents there for Dad’s 95th birthday dinner. As always, food was exceptional and our server, Janna, was so good to us. Love. This. Place. We have gone for special occasions and holidays for ten years and Dad says he will be back for 96th!
Been there many times. Never disappointed there or at any Clyde's.
We went there today for Sunday brunch. As always, we were not disappointed. The food is really delicious; very fresh and well prepared. The service was outstanding. We love to go to Clyde’s for brunch. Makes Sunday that much more special.
Everything was great including recognizing my nieces birthday. I thought the food was a bit pricey.
They were understaffed since they had two private parties going on. The hostess girls were very rude. Waitress was great but had too many tables to keep track of.
Good food and great service. Took our friends here for a first time visit and they loved it. Will definitely come again.
Clyde’s has been one of our go-tos for years, so I chose to bring some out-of-Town guests there for dinner the other night. I’m hoping it was just a bad night, and nothing to do with the management. We placed our order and sat for approx 30 minutes before we saw our waitress again. She stopped to tell us our bread should be out shortly, when we were expecting we should be receiving our entrees at that point. A minute or so later, a runner brought out our meals (no bread yet). We pointed out that one of the salads was not what was ordered (we ordered the grilled shrimp salad, but received a chicken Cobb). The runner said, “well, it’s going to take a long time to get it...are you sure you don’t want this one?” I said we wanted the salad we ordered, and our friend who ordered the shrimp salad said she wouldn’t have ordered the Cobb because she doesn’t eat bacon. The runner said he could take the bacon off her plate. Again, I said we wanted what we ordered. He left in a huff. Meanwhile, our waitress walked by. I let her know the order was incorrect and that we still didn’t have bread. She said, “well, the bread takes 8 minutes to cook”. I told her we had been there over half an hour. A little while later, a different runner (tall guy with red hair) came out with the shrimp salad and a smirk on his face. He said (very loudly and sarcastically), “we hope you will find this to be absolutely perfect”. I should have called a manager at this point, because we were not being rude or unreasonable. He then asked if he could get us anything else. My daughter asked for ketchup, and again, very sarcastically he said. “It would be my pleasure”.
Our out of town guests were not impressed with Clyde’s, and I couldn’t believe the rudeness of the staff. We’ve never experienced anything like that there. I hope Clyde’s will take a close look at the caliber of employee they had working there last Saturday. Definitely not their finest.
This is the second time I have been to this Clyde's - overall Clyde's restaurants are a great experience no matter which one you go to, but Willow Creek Farm is one of the best. Our server, Jana, was amazing -- perfect service, great recommendations!
We arrived at 6:58pm for a 7pm reservation. We were seated immediately. Very impressive.
We dined in the Carriage Room adjacent to the bar. The acoustics of the room made hearing difficult. If you would like quiet conversation ask to be seated elsewhere.
The service was very attentive and prompt. Plenty of kudus and no complaints.
The food was good. The dishes we ordered were common. The ingredients were fresh.
Overall, a fine experience.
First we almost got knocked over by a customer trying to leave as we were already partially thru the door!! Had reservations for 6:15....seated on time but not the room or booth as requested.....a table for 4 in the middle of a room. My husband had to clean off the puddles and sticky stuff on two chairs while a server wanted us to MOVE as she was determined to bring another table dessert. Did get seated in the room and a booth as requested since I believe the manager recognized us from the initial run it with an exciting customer. The two husband's ordered a whole rack of ribs which both wives appreciated as our meals were TINY and had to have a few bites of their meaks! Salmon with no starch and small for $22 and crab cake that was not up to Clyde's usual. Took 35 minutes to receive our meals. Maybe they should not book a wedding, baptism and rehearsal dinner all in one night as they have cut down on their seating by taking over the Chandler room for private parties!!!
Always good food and great service! Feel like you can get in and out or take your time.
