Food was good but overpriced. While the waiter was friendly, it’s clear the staff is not well trained.
Drinks, meals, coffee and dessert served with hands on the glassware necks and plates without trays. Busboy carrying a bus pan throughout the dining room, putting it on chairs while clearing tables. Pulling plates off table while the other diner is still eating. For the prices charged, I would expect a better dining experience.
It was a busy Saturday night- fair enough. There had been a wedding and many of the guys had already had a lot to drink and were settled in at the bar yelling at the TV during a college sports game. It was if we were in a sports bar and not a restaurant. There were not enough servers so service was slow and there were many missed steps. Food was good though unimaginative.
Coastal Blue is okay to eat at. Our meals taste good. I asked the waiter a question about an item on the menu and he simply repeated what I said never answering my question. This was our first time eating here and I don't think we'll return in the future. Perhaps someone else's experience will be more enjoyable.
Awesome service and super awesome food
The food quality has gone down significantly. The chef left sometime ago. I would not return until something changes in the kitchen
A little pricey, but good food. Our server was nice and attentive and the food came out quick!
Pleasant service with a smile and the food was delicious!
The food was decent, some dishes better than others. The salmon was a better one, although the description was a bit misleading. The scallops were okay--six good-sized, well-prepared scallops surrounded by rather bland sauces. The surf-and-turf burger was a better one, as well.
Benches are extremely uncomfortable! Second time here. Food is generally good but hotel expensive for the quality. Can always get a reservation here when everything else is booked.
We set outside on a beautiful night. Had a wonderful server, Darius, enjoyed our drinks before ordering a fabulous meal. Overall, we really enjoyed!
Excellent service and food was excellent
Overpriced mediocre food.
This restaurant was a disappointment. I would compare it to a restaurant at Disneyland. It’s nice for the convenience, if you’re staying at the ICONA, but otherwise – I wouldn’t recommended it. .The people seated next to us had a child watching a movie on an iPad, and he was less than a foot away. Very distracting! Moreover, the food was astronomically priced for its taste. We ordered the crabcakes for $43. They were very fishy. After the wonderful dining experiences we had in Cape May the two nights before, it was not comparable for the price point. I’d stick with the burger.
Too many flies in the area. Appetizer and meal arrived 5 minutes apart. Water tasted terrible (get bottled water) wait staff ver nice.
Noisy, mediocre drinks and food. My steak was overcooked and had no flavor and the meal was very expensive for the quality. Service was good, but that is about the only positive. We will not be returning.
Good and service was very good with unique flavor.
Delicious food, great service. Would love to go back at a different time when less busy. It was noisy. Otherwise loved it!!!
Dinners a little pricey but for apps and drinks perfect !service excellent!
Claudiu and Mau are the best and most friendly waiters at ICONA. Very understanding with my brother who has autism as well which is something my family appreciates very much.
Excellent experience! A gem of Diamond Beach! Great atmosphere and delicious menu selections. A must try!
Saturday evening (early) in August. They had no draft beer at all (although quite a few were on the menu). Very few (and mediocre) wines-by-glass. The food was abominable, fish tacos and calamari were disgusting. The salad was OK, the burger was OK, do not even think about trying anything more ambitious here. Noise level in the restaurant was horrendous, a frozen-drink machine was running right where people sit. Service staff was either inexperienced or rude. It was also uncomfortably warm.
There were 4 in our party and two liked their meals and two did not.
For the price of the entrees I expected more.
We will not be back.
Very nice patio.for outdoor dining. Nice lighting after sunset. Our dinners were well prepared and the menu had a good amount of variety
Coastal Blue was a fine experience. Crab cake was all crab and little or no filler. Swordfish tacos were tasty but a little messy. They needed to double up on the corn taco shell as the liquid from the salsa cause them to fall apart. Nice atmosphere.
Our waiter Alex was amazing!!
Made our dining experience personable & happy
Excelant food, great service, nice wine list We will return here again. It was my birthday and the manager and staff came out and sang HBD as everyone joined in.
Food was good. Good service. Would go again
Wonderful waitress. Seafood was spot on. Service was quick.
Very good service, high quality food and menu, lovely ambience, slightly overpriced (but what restaurant isn't post-COVID??)
Had a great time under the lights outside.. food was excellent and service as well.. Alex was our waiter and he was awesome. Such a nice guy.. i would definetly go back once we visit again
Loved this place.
Everything was superb. Service and food was excellent.
Food was Delicious
Our server Alex was Amazing
We had a wonderful family dinner’s
Great food / solid service/ craft beer list not fantastic. Overall good experience.
We know how it goes at beach restaurants in late August, so expectations were low. We just went with the flow and ended up having a lovely dinner. We were seated outdoors, but it was a nice night. There were families seated all around us, but the kids were pretty quiet and cute so it was ok. We ordered the Tito's speciality drink. Yum and strong! We had mussels and calamari to start, both yum! We shared the Aloha Salad. Meh. Skip it. I had Ribeye, spicy, tender and cooked perfectly to temp (MR). He had the Branzino and loved it. We shared a bottle of Pinot Noir. Skipped dessert, but had a nice after dinner drink at the bar with Anna. She was a delight! We then headed down to the Star Beach Bar and had another drink on the beach. Great meal and a memorable night down the shore!
Great food !! Very nice staff
Hi a group of my girlfriends and I ate here last night. The food was very good - we all enjoyed our meals and our appetizers but the service was horrendous. Sarah was our waitress and she was bad. All of us have worked as waitresses in the past and understand how challenging it can be however she was not good in any way. The place was not crowded and it took over 30 minutes to get an order of drinks. She blamed the bar being backed up however there were a total of 4 people at the bar - the bar tender was cleaning. We new that our drinks were ready and sitting at the bar but the way they were sweating. It is a shame because it is a nice location and the food was good but probably wouldn't go back due to the service.
Quick service and great food. Melina was super friendly and interacted with our two boys! For a casual experience eat outside. For a much more elegant feeling eat inside.
This was our third time dining in this restaurant. The last time we were here was prior to Covid, and we enjoyed the first two visits so much more. The server was very nice and very attentive however, we received the appetizer and the salad at the exact same time. We asked her ahead of time to please not do that as we did not want to feel rushed. The entrées at this restaurant are a little pricey however, we never mind paying a higher price if it is a good quality meal. My husband had the New Jersey scallops which he said were good. I had the grilled salmon dish with Asian noodles. Not very attractive on the plate and not much to my liking. My opinion of course but not worth the price of the meal. Caesar salad was al a carte and it was nothing special. Had a tuna roll appetizer which was good. Extremely noisy and guests of the hotel appeared to be walking through the restaurant while we were eating dinner. Probably won’t return. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
