Great restaurant. Good food. Good cocktails. Friendly servers.
All let down by a location, which is pretty remote by London standards - 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross and very limited parking.

This was the perfect place to have a pre-theatre meal before heading to the Pleasance Theatre around the corner. Flavoursome, fresh-tasting food from a well chosen menu in a hip setting - if industrial filament-bulb lighting, stripped wood and earthenware crockery are your thing, you will love CoBa! Highlights were the summer rolls and the BBQ Beef in Betel leaf. Cocktails were also good quality, nicely presented and not too sugary (which is my usual gripe). Good, friendly service too. A winner.

The place has fantastic lighting which makes the ambience really enjoyable. The food is also good but not exceptional. There is only one option for wine by the glass but it’s a pretty good one. The service is friendly and quick. I would definitely go back, it was a good night out.

Love this place! Best Pho outside Vietnam! Fresh flavours, great menu, cool interior, friendly staff and well priced!

Ranks among my favourite restaurants in London!

Quite enjoyed the food and cocktails. It's casual, quite a small menu and the restaurant is in a bit of an odd spot near Kings Cross / Islington - not much else around.

A slim menu but fantastic-tasting food. Service was efficient and friendly. Decor is industrial-chic - not exactly cosy but the young clientele will have liked that. And it's beside the point - the Australian-Vietnamese food is what you come for and the food is completely delicious.

Lovely restaurant. Walk-in seats available, which is always good to see. Short menu but everything we tried was delicious. Wines reasonable price and very good cocktails!

We have eaten at CoBa many times starting with when it first opened. Although the geographical location is rather out of the way, it is most certainly worth making the journey to get to it. The food is outstanding as is the service. Delicious cocktails too. Increasingly, one needs to reserve a table way ahead of time as It is only a small space.

The food in CoBa was very good, especially the starters we had - crab and prawn spring rolls and lamb cutlets - but value (£8 for 2 small cutlets) was very questionable. Pho and ramen were good if not as great as the starters. Service was friendly, so even if prices could be a bit friendlier I'd definitely go again.

This was our 3rd time at Coba. We were very excited about discovering it (delicious food, a fresh take on Vietnamese food) but this time both the food and and service stopped being memorable. Will not come back.

For the portion sizes, I think this restaurant is a little pricey. BUT, the food is ridiculously delicious. Mouthwatering, spicy, subtle, perfectly cooked. Honestly the most delicious Vietnamese I have had in the UK.

This is more of a neighbourhood joint than a destination restaurant. Food was a bit bland. Service was good. Ambience was nondescript. Overall disappointing

We went here on a saturday night, and it was okay. it wasnt bad, it was just okay.
The cocktails are very small, even though you pay £8 for them - so they're overpriced. Also the menu is very limited! You can only order 4 choices of salad or 3 choices of soup FOR MAINS! so not the best ones.

Damon and his team at Coba has definitely created a hit worth the 20 minutes hike (or 10m bus ride) from Kings Cross. I'm not the kind to travel out of my way for food (especially since Vietnamese is ubiquitous in Shoreditch) but as I said to Damon, he's ruined vietnamese food for me now since it makes me sad when I dine somewhere else. Yes, IT IS THAT GOOD.

You can share the starters, but why would you? They are all fantastic and you need to order at least one of everything. Last time I went, I had to miss out on his excellent pho and ordered 3 starters instead (problem of not having more than 2 people).

The cocktails are good, the starters are phenomenal, the pho is much better than anything we've tasted elsewhere in London. The staff and the place are amazing as well. I might not recommend it for a proper "date night" but otherwise Coba is great for all occasions.

If the only thing you can complain about is a little bracing walk to whet your appetite and to help you overcome overindulging on too many starters, it's a winner.

The fresh flavours and high quality ingredients in the authentic-tasting Vietnamese standards could not be faulted. It's a bit unreasonable to complain about slightly high prices when this kind of quality is being offered.

Coba is in a bit of a no-man's land area halfway along York Way. But the food and service is excellent. The only disappointment being that at 7pm on Friday evening they'd already sold out of two of the mains (from what is already a fairly concise menu). That said, the noodle salads were great and the prawn toast was superb.

A perfect place for a meet with old friends... Having a fragile tooth eating so carefully (with a knife & folk!) I enjoyed every bit! Summer rolls- Delish! BBQ spicy chicken salad - Juicey! Vegetarian pho- Moreish! Dessssert passionfruit cake with mango syrup - Mooore!

Happily go there, make sure you book as small venue

Highly recommend the lamb chops and butter chicken from the starter menu. Prawn toast was good too but the lamb and chicken stood out for me. I had the beef pho - delivately spiced, really yummy. It's a bit of a trek from King's Cross but well worth it! The desserts were divine - we had and caramel pudding and a mango pudding.
