Tuesday - Saturday: 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Booked standard table but was put on a high table together with other people. There were plenty of standard tables available which stayed empty throughout the meal. Bad service and condescending waiters. Food not bad but relatively average.
Won’t be back; plenty of better options for similar or better price
Very nice surprise, well worth the walk from kings cross
Exceptional food. A stylish hidden gem in a tucked away corner north of Kings Cross - this place is well worth a walk!! The starters (particularly prawn toast and spring rolls) are some of the best in London and the main dishes - all generous portions and SO fresh were full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere and fabulous cocktails to boot. 10/10 in every way.
My second time here and the food was even better than I remember. The Coba's sling is still my favourite cocktail ever!!! so yummyyy
Excellent food and just round the corner from us! Good value for money as well.
A few hits mixed with some near-misses in a very noisy place make this a great place for a quick bite but don't hang around. It was a 1 in 3 place. 1 cocktail great, 1 so-so and 1 a waste of calories. Food was better at 1 great, 2 ok and 2 so-so dishes while the staff was lovely but a bit random in their attentiveness.
YUM!! Fabulous hidden gem this one. Super fresh and delicious food, lovely staff and cool venue. The starters are amazing.
Excellent food, and amazing cocktails. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic cocktails, delicious authentic food and superb service - will definitely be returning
Great restaurant. Good food. Good cocktails. Friendly servers.
All let down by a location, which is pretty remote by London standards - 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross and very limited parking.
As always incredible food and lovely staff. Every time we go to this restaurant we have special times. Lots of wonderful memories!!
This was the perfect place to have a pre-theatre meal before heading to the Pleasance Theatre around the corner. Flavoursome, fresh-tasting food from a well chosen menu in a hip setting - if industrial filament-bulb lighting, stripped wood and earthenware crockery are your thing, you will love CoBa! Highlights were the summer rolls and the BBQ Beef in Betel leaf. Cocktails were also good quality, nicely presented and not too sugary (which is my usual gripe). Good, friendly service too. A winner.
Super lecker :) Nettes Personal ;) Einziges Manko waren die unbequemen Bänke.
The place has fantastic lighting which makes the ambience really enjoyable. The food is also good but not exceptional. There is only one option for wine by the glass but it’s a pretty good one. The service is friendly and quick. I would definitely go back, it was a good night out.
Love this place! Best Pho outside Vietnam! Fresh flavours, great menu, cool interior, friendly staff and well priced!
Ranks among my favourite restaurants in London!
Quite enjoyed the food and cocktails. It's casual, quite a small menu and the restaurant is in a bit of an odd spot near Kings Cross / Islington - not much else around.
Best Vietnamese in London. Summer rolls are a must. Actually all the starters are a must. This place does EXCELLENT food.
Delightful and excellent food. 5 of us eating and sampled a lot of items. Great value.
A slim menu but fantastic-tasting food. Service was efficient and friendly. Decor is industrial-chic - not exactly cosy but the young clientele will have liked that. And it's beside the point - the Australian-Vietnamese food is what you come for and the food is completely delicious.
Lovely restaurant. Walk-in seats available, which is always good to see. Short menu but everything we tried was delicious. Wines reasonable price and very good cocktails!
We have eaten at CoBa many times starting with when it first opened. Although the geographical location is rather out of the way, it is most certainly worth making the journey to get to it. The food is outstanding as is the service. Delicious cocktails too. Increasingly, one needs to reserve a table way ahead of time as It is only a small space.
Great tasty food in a cool setting. Good value for money as well!
The food in CoBa was very good, especially the starters we had - crab and prawn spring rolls and lamb cutlets - but value (£8 for 2 small cutlets) was very questionable. Pho and ramen were good if not as great as the starters. Service was friendly, so even if prices could be a bit friendlier I'd definitely go again.
This was our 3rd time at Coba. We were very excited about discovering it (delicious food, a fresh take on Vietnamese food) but this time both the food and and service stopped being memorable. Will not come back.
Food was delicious! The CoBa fling cocktails were moreish...will definitely be back!
For the portion sizes, I think this restaurant is a little pricey. BUT, the food is ridiculously delicious. Mouthwatering, spicy, subtle, perfectly cooked. Honestly the most delicious Vietnamese I have had in the UK.
This is more of a neighbourhood joint than a destination restaurant. Food was a bit bland. Service was good. Ambience was nondescript. Overall disappointing
We have eaten here many times before. The food is really delicious and the staff extremely friendly. Gorgeous cocktails too.
Really yummy and quality Vietnamese!! Staff were lovely. Decor was trendy and modern. Get the lamb cutlets :) also a very rich broth in the vegetarian pho which was delicious !
Great tasty food, attentive and friendly service, in a cool and laid back setting
really enjoyed it. Food particularly good, as were the cocktails. Cool place.
Without question this is the best Vietnamese in London!
Better than the typical Vietnamese -- food is just more flavoursome.
Food was very tasty and service was great - very friendly staff. Better value than a lot of places in the granary square area and only a short walk.
We went here on a saturday night, and it was okay. it wasnt bad, it was just okay.
The cocktails are very small, even though you pay £8 for them - so they're overpriced. Also the menu is very limited! You can only order 4 choices of salad or 3 choices of soup FOR MAINS! so not the best ones.
I had the special quail starter. It may not have been pretty to eat but it tasted amaIng
Love this place! Always consistent food, warm service, the lighting has a lovely glow which feels relaxing as I am not one for loud places.
Damon and his team at Coba has definitely created a hit worth the 20 minutes hike (or 10m bus ride) from Kings Cross. I'm not the kind to travel out of my way for food (especially since Vietnamese is ubiquitous in Shoreditch) but as I said to Damon, he's ruined vietnamese food for me now since it makes me sad when I dine somewhere else. Yes, IT IS THAT GOOD.
You can share the starters, but why would you? They are all fantastic and you need to order at least one of everything. Last time I went, I had to miss out on his excellent pho and ordered 3 starters instead (problem of not having more than 2 people).
The cocktails are good, the starters are phenomenal, the pho is much better than anything we've tasted elsewhere in London. The staff and the place are amazing as well. I might not recommend it for a proper "date night" but otherwise Coba is great for all occasions.
If the only thing you can complain about is a little bracing walk to whet your appetite and to help you overcome overindulging on too many starters, it's a winner.
Love this place. Excellent food in a cool and casual venue. Flawless.
Highly recommend the cocktails and the prawn toast - oh and the summer rolls (everything really!)
Fantastic little place. Service is friendly and informal. Cocktails are great. And the food is second to none. Have the prawn toast and their BBQ hot wings. Just. So. Good.
