Enjoyed everything about this experience, from the location, through the exquisite food and exceptional service.
Outstanding experience from start to finish: service, food presentation and quality. A highlight of my trip to Berlin!
A little overprized but the ambience of the place is so cool. We love it.
A very memorable experience from beginning to end. The Cookies Cream team exceeded our expectations on every level - experience, service, food presentation and flavor. This is the most creative and sophisticated vegetarian restaurant we have been to. We had the 5 course tasting menu and every dish was excellent: watermelon with artichoke - Pave Blanc, cardamom, lemon; tomato tea with verbena fennel blossoms, capers, croutons (our favorite); parmesan dumplings with Perigord truffle stock pine, chives, spinach (a treat for truffle lovers); baked aubergine with Edamame, papadam, savory, onion (charred and "meaty" - just lovely); and sweet cicely with strawberries sorbet, meringue, buckwheat. The descriptions (in English) did not really do the actual dishes justice -- just dive in, enjoy and finish the special night with a selection from the excellent house schnapps selection.
Very nice hipster place without to much fancieness and shi shi. Just good food in small portions and tatooed hipster waiters. Very nice!
Incredible food, service, and experience. Only caveat is that while the booths are nice, the chairs are far too focused on style over comfort.
This place feels like Berlin. You enter through a back alley to find a hidden gem. The food is amazing and really tasteful. And the prices are more than fair. The staff is very attentive and gives you their honest opinions about the menu. Thanks for a great dinner.
Outstanding vegetarian food, tasty, well prepared, creative. If you are too hungry, opt for a 4 course menu. Coffee: not worth ordering, though.
The restaurant makes a point to be difficult to find: sort of weird detail for such an outstanding place.
An adventure to find - fun decor and casual but attentive and well informed service - food that is out of the world and is enough to impress a die hard carnivore and thrill this vegetation 💓 thank you to the team at cookies cream and tell the chef we love him !
besonders. einfach besonders.
All the food was really beautiful and some of it was innovative, though few of the dishes lacked some taste. Service was friendly, but it didn't feel very personal or enthusiastic. It felt like the waitress knew "the rap", but probably not much more about the food or the wines.
Biggest problem were the paired wines. Although most of them worked ok with the food, they were not very good wines as themselves. Natural wines are trendy and I usually like them when seleted well, but their sommelier (who we didn't meet) should really be more careful. Some of the wines were too "funky", some were just bland. Only one classic riesling was something to remember, maybe they should just play it safe.
Overall, everything was "ok", but I was not happy with the value. I would expect much more for their price level and their fame.
Absolutely lovely food, and the service was really good. The place however was a bit hard to find.
Excellent and exciting food in an interesting environment! A bit difficult to find but well worth the effort. A wonderful meal that we will remember forever. Thank you!
Everything was good/execellent but the wine could be better. And there was too much noise.
Great and funny location :)
Food is simply incredibly good and creative, portions are fairly small but this is expected at this level of cuisine.
Speisen fantastisch gut, Personal sehr-sehr freundlich, Weinauswahl hervorragend
Cookies Cream is an experience on its own! The ambiance, the service and also the entrance! It's really a must go to when you visit Berlin and are interested in a very creative, high quality vegetarian diner!!
Unique food and great atmosphere, vegetarian caviar is incredible.
Definitely the best vegetarian restaurant in Germany. Very creative food, non-alcoholic drink suggestion and a very special location with a absolutely cool ambiance! The service was very busy and short tailed, so there was not really time for small talk and further information about the dishes and the wine... to bad!
Vielen Dank ...
Truly excellent food in a brilliant location. Highly recommended, even to meat eaters.
we are guests since nearly ten years and every visit was fantastic: creative vegetarian food, really friendly & competent service and a great great location. Its that kind of location you expect in berlin. We are looking for the next time!
We didn’t know what to expect, but it was a great overall experience. We went for the five-course taster menu; four out of five dishes really impressed, the other one was nice but not as special as the other four. We ordered a separate bottle of wine, really complemented the dishes (waiter’s recommendation). Yes, it was expensive but we thought it was well worth it. Slight niggle; the 2 hour time-slot.
Came in with very high expectations due to all the wonderful reviews posted but left the restaurant feeling extremely disappointed.
The food was well plated and the male waiter who served me was professional, polite and prompt. Sadly those were the only two good things I could comment positively about.
The food was very very very salty. When I feedback about it, the response I received was that the Chef had insisted it’s cooked like this and refused to either re cook a new serving for me or allow me to replace with another dish. There was absolutely no other effort made to improve the experience. The waiter simply took back the dish that I didn’t finish eating and did not offer any compensation whatsoever.
I will never come back here and I would discourage any of my friends from ever visiting this restaurant if they visit Berlin.
Tasty food, but the portions are too small. You shouldn’t go out hungry from a restaurant at this level
They were difficult to find and then confrontational when our party of 10 arrived. It was quite awkward and embarrassing for our party
The location and the decor are nice. The food is exquisite - really!
Sadly the genuine smiles of the waiters don't make up for their clumsiness, lack of tact when service or even errors on the bill. Plus the noise... my ears still bleed!
It's sad because the setting is one of a kind and the cuisine is Michelin starS level!
Great for vegetarians. Service friendly. Very difficult to find. Go down the alleyway that is the service entrance to the hotel. Food is got is good verging on excellent. Table is a bit close together. Relaxed, friendly
Pretty disappointed with this restaurant considering the hype and the fact that (we later learned) it has a Michelin star. We had the '5th Element' menu and there were too many average dishes. One stand out failure was dim sum that were totally smothered in a cauliflower foam/puree - it looked terrible and had a forgettable taste. In a restaurant like this, with the prices charged, you would expect to be 'wowed' and we were certainly not. 'Underwhelmed' was more the operative word. Also, there was not enough food, which is always a disaster in my book and leaves me annoyed. The baked aubergine dish came with an inch-cube of aubergine surrounded by sauce - it tasted good, but was simply not enough. All-in-all we would not go back or recommend, a clear case of style over substance.
Great, fresh and original vegetarian food and very good service. Wine is a bit overpriced.
Great spot if you can find it. If you are under the flashing chandelier you are close. Food is special to say the least. All vegetable based and enjoyable to say the least. Wines were outstanding too and all very different and rarely seen types. Atmosphere and soundtrack were cool as was the raw and basic décor. Service was fantastic with all the staff being very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. As a meat eater enjoyed this and would go again.
Ein Erlebnis! Beeindruckend stilsicher: Essen, Weine, Bar, Location ... einfach alles.
Such a hidden gem of a restaurant. Would never have found it if we hadn’t been given instructions from a friend. Once inside the atmosphere was great & the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The two of us shared the 4 course meal and every dish was a winner. So imaginative and well produced. Expensive night out but we enjoyed it immensely.
Excellent food, such a hidden gem. Probably one of the best meals of my life!
