Good Parking! Easy access. Beautiful entry to hostess desk, vista of wine tasting bar--chocolate tasting (and "after" gifts)---OPEN patron flow to large dining room with very fine acoustics, when filled during the heavy dining table conversation was NOT lost. Wait staff VERY attentive AND abundant but did not hover, menu knowledgeable. Full bar very nicely satisfies with pre-during and post-dining requests for those who are not moved by grape clusters.
Modern but with many links to old Virginia horse country club evening assembliges. Satisfies those of us with, say, seventy or so years of nostalga.
Celebrated my wife birthday. Her pick, it was great. We chose to order a variety of appetizers. Perfect. Wines were great. We joined the Wine Club.
My husband and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner here for our one year wedding anniversary. We have been to Cooper's Hawk in Ashburn a few times before and they never disappoint. From the service to the food, Cooper's Hawk provides you with an amazing dining experience. Their wines and drinks are also to die for.
Longer wait than expected (20-25 min after arrival) but excellent experience otherwise
Good food but really loud. The ahi dish is my favorite.
Have been here many times and it never disappoints
Six of us went on a week night to celebrate a birthday. Service was sub par. We seemed to have trouble finding our server when ordering or needing items. We have eaten here many times before and have had better service previously.
Some of our meals were better than others. Overall I would give my meal 3 stars or good. But some of our party would give theirs a 4 star review.
Several of the sides were not cooked properly.
We are wine members and we enjoy the wine selections.
The Manhattan, appetizers, and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the dining room was really noisy - much more so than the tasting bar.
The meal was delicious. We both had the nut encrusted fish - a favorite of ours. The only downside was that a very large group sat down next to our table shortly before we left and talked extremely loudly.
Overall, the place is just OK. My review has nothing to do with the service because all the staff were great. Bar is small. Floors are slippery unless you are wearing rubber soles.
Restaubt has nice aumbiance. Wine is good but food was lacking. Entrees were underwhelming for the price.
Great drinks, great food, best dining out experience in a while.
The brussel sprouts app is delicious, even for those who think they don't like brussel sprouts! Love the food and desserts were divine!
We went on our anniversary and they treated us to a glass of free champagne, a chocolate dipped strawberry and a chocolate trifle dessert! So thoughtful!!
This was our second visit and it was not quite as good as the first visit. The service and ambiance were fine, but the main course was a bit pedestrian. My wife and I both got the surf and turf. The potatoes were bland, the vegetable were indistinguishable and the crab cakes very bland. Perhaps that dish is not your specialty?
Unfortunately Our group had a horrible experience with orders messed up, service non existent and some people r chives their food while others had to wait making it awkward that everyone ate at different times in our party. I had been here in the past when it first opened and it wasn’t as bad but given the number of People there I thought it was a special place. I just don’t see it. Trust me I wanted to enjoy my experience. Perhaps next time if there is a next me. Thanks
We had our aniversary dinner and the food was great. The waiter was very good and the seats were nice. We have been there twice before and this time was better than last as the noise was not as bad as before. Still a little noisy. Also we could not believe how good the desert was.
The variety and quality of the food is at a level that few restaurants can achieve.
I think the food is okay, but not great. The food is very salty; we always joke after a visit that we have salt headaches afterward and have to drink lots of water. We like the restaurant because it is next to Baker's crust, which has a good bar. Ashburn doesn't have very many great restaurants.
Waiter, Ryan, provided the best service I have had in a very long time. Ranked in the top 5 and l’m 59 years old and travelled the country. Took the time to make time enjoyable and not rushed. His service began and ended the evening with a most enjoyable experience. Presentation of meal was great. Wine selection very good. Will return. Ryan has raised the bar for others.
Wines are a great value. Food was very good overall - I tried the daily special, and it was fantastic. Suggested wine pairings for all dishes are key at a restaurant focusing on wine, and Cooper’s Hawk delivers.
We had a reservation for 4 for my wife's birthday. When we arrived, the hostess said have a seat, it will be a few minutes. She did not even look up from the screen she was looking at. We were seated a few minutes late (understandable) and given menus. A waiter did not show up for 10 minutes (not understandable). He took our orders and came back with a very small loaf of bread for 4 people. I asked for another one. No one showed up for 15 minutes to give us another loaf of bread or refill the drinks (we had to ask other staff). 35 minutes after we ordered, the food came. The food was good, but it should not have taken this long. We were going to mention this to someone, but we couldn't find anyone (the waiter had been at our table a total of 3 times in over an hour). On the way out, the hostess said "thanks for coming" without even looking up. (The entire time I saw her, interacting with several people, she never looked up at anyone). Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere ok (the hostess tried to seat us at a terrible table at the beginning when there were many others available), the staff was extremely poor, and I had mentioned on the reservation that it was my wife's birthday. No mention from anyone about this (did not expect free food, just a 'happy birthday').
We had a reservation time which we ended up waiting for 20. Minutes anyway. Once seated, we waited for someone to pay attention to us for at least 15 minutes.
Service was exceptionately slow . My food was.not prepared as I ordered it, and my vegetable never came to the table. The others dining with me said their food was just okay and a little on the cool side!
The only positive thing was that my dinner wS removed from the total bill.
We will not return.
Avoid the pork chops...they were overcooked. 2nd attempt was about the same. Server was nice but place was too crowded and VERY NOISY
Made a reservation for 7:00 PM and when a got to the restaurant, I waited another 20 minutes to be sit it.
Food and service were excellent. Very noisy, especially for celebrating a special occasion -- conversation very difficult.
I have been to this location and been very satisfied in the past. Our server was very attentive and super pleasant. However the low rating is due to the timing of our entree arrival. Three entrees came out and then 30 minutes later the 4th (the special for that evening). Needless to say we declined the 4 th entree as we shared our food to feed the 4th person. Of course the entree was removed from our bill but when you are with other guest you expect all would receive their entree s together. Hoping this was a one time occurance.
I love coopers, but today's food and service sucked. My food was tasteless, we ordered our dine-in wine, we're wine club members so we were sure to use it today. He actually brought it in a bag instead of glasses and opening it to have there. Just as well... it was a 2 hour lunch with our 5 & 6 year old. It was just... unenjoyable and disappointing.
Always enjoy Cooper's Hawk! Food is excellent. Noise level was a little high on a Saturday night.
Wonderful experience. Great food and wine. Wonderful free wine for wine club members.
We came 5hrs away for a wedding weekend, and I looked at restaurants around the are. There are plenty of choices but Coopers stood out... it definitely did not disappoint. My wife and I loved the wine selections as well as the food. We would definitely come back again when in the area.
This was our third time at the restaurant and the first 2 times didn't go so well but 3 times a charm. It was my wifes B Day and was very nice. We will be back.
Amazing restaurant great food would eat there everyday
It was anniversary dinner but no one mention about our special occasion.
We celebrated our anniversary at Coopers Hawk and the evening and food was perfect.
I am a member of Cooper's Hawk, so naturally, I love it. We had a guest from out of the country and took him for wine tasting and dinner. He LOVED it.
Great food and service. Only disappointment was that our main entree came 5 minutes after we received our two appetizers. Our server was very apologetic and addressed one of the appetizers on the bill, however it would have been nice to enjoy them first.
Also, not sure why when you note on the Open Table app that it is for someone’s birthday there is no acknowledgment of it by the staff. Sometimes little things can go a long way when it comes to making an impression.
Great as always. Was nice that it was early afternoon as there wasn’t a huge crowd.
As a Wine Club member and frequent diner, I have been very dismayed at my last two visits. Missed orders, long wait times for our main course (1 hour). Loud. I can go on. It seems like the restaurant has lost its original ambience and charm and is now just overcrowded, understaffed, and not very pleasant.
Food was delicious and wonderful for those of us that are gluten sensitive. The wait between the appetizers and the main dishes was a little slow made more noticeable because the shady table we had been placed at turned into sunny heat. But overall an enjoyable time was had by all.
