Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Ashburn
Anniversary, but did t acknowledge
We had a 2 year old with us at the end of a long drive. Our server and staff were quick and very accommodating!
Our waiter, Chris, was phenomenal! Had a great date night with my husband! We had reservations (recommended), so we didn’t have a wait—in fact we were seated almost immediately even though we were early and the restaurant was VERY packed!
It took us 30 minutes to find a spot at the tasting bar. They needed at least one if not two more people behind the bar. There were multiple empty glasses, causing tastings to take much longer than they should. The staff behind the bar was overwhelmed and basically told us nothing about the wine we were tasting. She poured and walked away.
Once we made it to the table, Dale took good care of us. Unfortunately the booth that we were seated at was right in the line of the setting sun. Our booth along with the three behind us, all needed their sunglasses on. We held up our menus to try to block the sun. It really was quite awful until the sun went down.
We really enjoyed our food. Our only issue was my husbands shrimp from his surf and turf were cold.
The food, service and ambiance are exceptional! Shout out to Terry who offered us the complimentary wine tasting because of the 3 other times we'd been there, she's was the first to offer us that service! We had crispy Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. The dish is so unique and executed to perfection! I had the braised short ribs and they were very tender.
Grouper was NOT on point tonight and the repeated description of the wine pours at the tasting room was not educational and she did not want to be at work!
Robin was great!!
Cooper's Hawk in Ashburn has been a favorite of ours; however, it seems to be slipping recently. Food not quite as good. Service a little worse. Yesterday my wife ordered scallops for $27 and hardly got an appetizer portion. 4 scallops. $27.
We thoroughly enjoyed Cooper's Hawk on Sunday. The outdoor patio was lovely, and not yet crowded when we arrived. Our food was good, and watching the goslings and their parents as we ate was entertaining!
The staff is attentive and knowledgeable.
The food was wonderful as usual
My wife and son took me to Coopershawk on Fathers Day. The food and service were excellent! I love this restaurant! It is on my short list of eateries that I frequent.
Regular visitor to both the Ashburn and Reston locations, food and libations are always spot on. Party of three, this time. The Barrel Reserve was excellent, as was the Surf and Turf with the pistachio crusted grouper. Soup of the day was a fine mushroom soup, try it if you get a chance. We were very appreciative for great accommodation for a party member with dietary restrictions. Service was especially good, prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable. Ask for Cameron!
Food is outstanding. Service was very good People are pleasant and personable
Our dinner was very good and the price reasonable. The ambient is nice but very noise, makes a little difficult to keep a conversation across of the table.
Outstanding service and food! It was a busy evening and a little too noisy for us. Loved the wine tasting!
Once again had an awesome experience at Coopers Hawk! Wife and kids loved it
Birthday celebration was a great experience at Coopers Hawk! I got the shrimp and scallops risotto which was creamy and delicious. We also got the chicken potstickers as an appetizer. They were very good. Highly recommend this place!
A beautiful graduation dinner with family and friends. Food was very good and served warm.
Waitstaff was good, wine delicious and food excellent.
So many special touches happened after we casually mentioned it was our anniversary. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious.
Will, our server, was extremely attentive. We were all happy with our food, but especially enjoyed the deviled egg appetizer and both gnocchi dishes. It was mid-day, so we chose not to have wine this time.
We had such a nice graduation lunch. Servers were great! - Food was great! They surprised my graduate with a GF dessert. Only complaint (and a very small one at that) I wanted to take home left over Pita and Hummas, but they only put 3 pieces of Pita in Tin.
The food is always phenomenal, but there was a service issue. We had a reservation, were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Once seated we waited 20 minutes for our waiter to come. After 15 minutes my husband went to the hostess and asked about our waiter. A hostess came over about 5 minutes later and asked if we wanted a drink. Finally our waiter shows up. He should have shown up with waters and bread at this point, but of course nothing. 45 minutes into the meal still no appetizer. Finally, the app came. The table next to us that had been seated at the same time, already had their check when we were getting our appetizer. Usually, I can tolerate a long wait, but I had my toddler with me, so this dinner was anything but relaxing. Unfortunately, next time we go out we’ll go somewhere else.
We had a great date night here. It was lovely the lighting and contemporary modern tables. We loved it
I find Cooper's Hawk to be an extremely nice place for lunch. EVERYTHING is great - food, service, wine, all very good!
This was our first time here. We needed to sit in an area where the noise level was fairly low due to my hearing loss, and we were seated in a side room off the main area of the restaurant. Unfortunately it was freezing in this area, and we asked to be seated outside. The staff was very accommodating and we were moved to a nice table outside. The wine was great (Super Tuscan) and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Lots to choose from on the menu, especially for a vegetarian. The service was great, too. We will be back!
The waitress was great! We had a wonderful dinner.
Our waiter Alvaro went above and beyond and executed amazing service to our group.
Food and service were outstanding!!
Delicious food, great service. We were at a business lunch so did not have a chance to try the wine.
Haven’t been in a while enjoyed my fave salad of Brussels sprouts! Wish you would open one in Vero Beach, FL we’d love to have you there!
Nice restaurant, good service, good
Menu and food
Always good. Were able to dine on the outside patio.
My friend first time. She was very impressed and will go back with her family!!!
Cooper's Hawk has become our go to restaurant for both food and wine; the service is superb as well.
Food was great and server was fantastic. The hostess seated us at a crappy table though. We asked for a booth she said none were available. Surprisingly, our server was able to escort us to one eighth away - and there were at least 2 others we could see. We understand that systems aren’t always up to date but the hostess could have done a quick live check. It was late in the evening and no one else checking in so not like she was helping someone else or waking with a crush of customers.
Very average once again. mostly due to our server's apparent lack of knowledge about the menu but also incorrect food delivery and rather small portions. One meal got totally comped out of the four, one was good and the other two really just okay. Too many other options to waste time here which is too bad because it's convenient and looks good.
We love the food, wine (Sparkling flight) and mixed drinks (BIN 61 sour, specifically). Service is always great - attentive and wonderful customer service. Being a member, the member signature option at the end is a bonus.
Unfortunately this was a bad experience. I had made a reservation to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday. It was ruined by her steak meal not being done right twice at which point she had to leave. No meal for her on her birthday! I was more than upset. Even my steak dinner was poor. The server told us that there would be no charge for the meal, but the damage was done. We had great meals at this restaurant before, but this was the absolute worst. I really need a general manager to address this.
