Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse - Adelaide (Downtown)
Your experience at Copacabana begins with a trip to our "Galleria" where you will be tempted by fresh baked breads and dips from our open concept bakery; fresh cheeses cut from the wheel, and expertly hand sliced charcuterie selections. Help yourself to as much crisp salads and colorful starters you want, but leave room: Your experience is just beginning.
Back at your table our Gauchos or Carvers will service you with a feast of various CAB (Certified Angus) grilled meats prepared in a number of ways. Simply tell your carver how you prefer your meat, (most come medium rare) and leave the rest to us!
There is only one small task for you...As your Gaucho is Cutting at your table, use your provided tongs to simply grasp the top slab of meat and assist as he thinly slices a perfect cut of meat onto your plate, enjoy…and repeat as many times as you like!
Great birthday celebrarion with family.
Where you get seated will determine how your evening will go. If you get seated in the middle of the restaurant, good luck getting fed. The servers will go around outer tables first before getting to you (and thats IF they DO get to you) and you will end up with last cold piece of steak waiting to be scrapped off the skewer. For $60 per person on the weekends, the value just isn’t there. You will only get 9-10 selections of meat (this includes two chicken selections) later in the evening when there aren’t many people. Servers work hard but they are given SO little amount of steak to begin with that I wasn’t served half the time. Good for experience but I would not recommend going to Copa Cabana on your special occasion - You can go to Barberians for extra buck or two to have better celebration. Salad bars are good.
Overall good experience.
We were there Thanksgiving Sunday so it wasn’t busy. Not sure if this was the reason for not having all advertised meats as shown in Copa menu. It looked like some rotisserie food was not available at the time.
But dancers were pleasant surprise.
So I can’t complain too much.
The food and atmosphere above and beyond they had so many choices of steak can't remember last time i ate so much.
This restaurant is highly overrated. The food portions were small you couldn’t even hear the servers when they were telling you what it was all the steaks are made rare and they did not have a good drink menu options
Amazing food and great entertainment. Love this place!
I found it to be pricey for what you get. I few thin slices of meat that is cooked differently. I think I would try the down stair restaurant where you order a meal rather than a salad buffet and a taste of a few different meats.
Took over 30 minutes to get served in between rounds one time. Not worth the money
The servers kept skipping our table even when we left the blue card faced up. I thought moving it to the edge would be better but the server STILL skipped our table. Our table was right in between two others and the servers would serve the table on our right, pass us and serve the table next to us. (This happened numerous times). Also, we had to call someone to come to our table for the pineapple since they skipped us AGAIN!! We each got 2 slices of pineapple, well except me. I wanted two but one of my slices fell DIRECTLY ON THE TABLE, and the server just pointed at it and told us to eat that one and he left... so DISGUSTING. I’m paying so much to eat at your restaurant and you’re telling me to eat the food you dropped on the table? and also all the servers with the meat skipped us and they only came OCCASIONALLY after we were full from eating salads. What’s the point of coming after we’re already full? And what’s the point of even having those cards on the table when I had the blue side up and the waiter skips us and goes to the table next to us to serve them instead when the had the RED side up!??!!
From beginning to end - awesome!. The host and trainee were exceptional and very attentive to our needs. Made sure we received our favorite dishes, clean plates and always with a smile. Home run all around. Great food, great service great price.
I have been to copa many times- in Vaughn and niagra and this location was the worst. I made a reservation for over a week because it was my boyfriends birthday so we were excited. The receptionist was rude and didn’t seem to care about us. When we got seated the table was wobbly so our waiter said she would stabilize it however it didn’t work and it was still wobbly. We got our drinks that we ordered in the beginning literally halfway through our meal when we were almost done. We didn’t even get to try all
The meat- they kept bringing one meat over. We also asked for well
Done due to health concerns and the guy brought out twice then we asked to try other flavours nicely and he says he can’t do anymore... I asked the same thing at Vaughn and every meat was made well done. Our waiter came to us once and neglected us the whole night- we had plates we needed to get rid of because table was wobbly. Honestly 2 starts for the appetizers but even the warm apps were cold. I do not recommend this place for the price. Save your money and go to Vaughn location.
This location was perfect ! Music in the background wasn’t too loud so we could still hear each other over the music and chatter. The food was excellent and servers were very nice.
This was our third time at this location. We found that it was difficult to get attention — even getting our bill took way too long. There was hardly any meat selection —no lamb even. Was not a good experience and frankly way too much money for nothing. Won’t be back
The food is delicious!!! Will be going back again for sure
Never going there again, food got me sick and the service was super slow !
I don't get here enough!!! We always have a great meal and time at Copacabana on Adelaide!!! So much food, and always so good!!! Looking forward to the next visit!!!
Amazing date spot. Great service and amazing food.
Came for a birthday. Absolutely love this place and can not wait to go back. I have nothing bad to say, everything was exceptional.
Great place, good service, meats are excellent and cooked to perfection. My only complaint is I think it is a bit too expensive.
Staff are attentive and friendly. Very good experience overall. The food is great!
more like a friday night than a tuesday night meal
Good food, excellent service. The atmosphere and the environment is somewhat unique offering a wide variety of food on the buffet and a full selection of meats and cooking styles that are delivered to the table. The dancing and acrobatics show was very novel and entertaining.
They canceled out our reservation just because we arrive 10 minutes late. The revelation was made with 10 day before of the date
This was a terrible experience. I was told Copa Cabana was great. The food was all salt. We were there 1.5 hours and all we were served was bloody steak and beef. No pork. We asked 3 times for chicken the response I got was chicken takes longer to cook. The restaurant opened at 5 there was no reason that there wasn't a good mix of meat. Got chicken and it tasted as if it sat in a salt bath. The meat servers went to the same tables every time they came out with fresh meat. Very dissatisfied with our experience and a waste of $130.00. The reason we choose this location was because we where going to the Elgin theater. The organization of the servers was very poor the atmosphere was not romantic the music was loud and I was basically sitting on the person beside me lap. Very poor set up.
We have been here a few times, it's been always pleasure! Good food fantastic service!
The waitress' service was horrible. I asked for two lime caipirinhas and she brought two mojitos, and when I mentioned the mistake to her, she stated I ordered mojitos and left the table. I needed to leave the table myself and ask another waitress to bring correct drinks to our table. A while later I asked our waitress for another 2 pineapple caipirinhas with extra sugar - and she brought the drinks WITHOUT sugar. I immediately asked for a bowl of sugar and a spoon. 15 minutes later no sugar, so I got up again to ask another waitress to bring to me. This other waitress brought me simple syrup but no spoon to stir so I had to use my dirty steak knife. I heard so many good things about this place, and wanted my birthday to be special - trust me I won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
Sidenote; the guys serving the meats were absolutely terrific. I mentioned to one guy the steak we liked the most and he made efforts to continue bringing that specific one back to our table.
Great dinner for our group, we were 18 and the staff treated us so well, food was fantastic. we will be back for sure.
Standard Brazilian Steak House with not much more to offer. Beef was offered often, chicken less but other options (fish, seafood and fruit) were not offered regularly. The drinks were expensive and the sides choices a bit limited. They did have a good bread selection. Overall not bad just not great is all.
I hosted a birthday dinner for a party of 11 people. The meats were very tasty however my overall experience was not that great. The servers stopped coming over with meat about half an hour into our dinner, and when we told our waitress they still avoided coming over for another half hour. For $80/person including tax and tip I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
We booked Saturday night at 7pm for my boyfriend's bday. They placed us on the third floor, right by the window. View was great but there was a breeze. I did not take off my coat the entire time. The music playing was loud and "very club" like. Meat was great but not enough shrimp and chicken came around, buffet choices were so- so, some items were super spicy-not labeled. I don't think each of us ate $60.00 dollars worth of meat or salads. I would come back but perhaps during the week when it's bit more calm and enjoyable.
We booked this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday because it was his favourite. The service was poor, we weren’t offered drinks and after waiting so long just for basic service we felt rushed to leave. I might expect this service if we walked in off the street but I had a pre arranged reservation and felt like an inconvenience. The meat just kept passing our table. The same three varieties kept coming back and even after the woman rushing us out asked us what we were waiting for, we had her come back and had to ask for that twice. Just really disappointed in the experience and honestly the dancers where the only thing worth the visit.
The food is delicious but you are given such small portions of each thing you want to try, but that is only IF you're able to get any. We sat for almost 45 minutes and had ONE of the servers approach our table with the racks of meat, despite having our little sign flipped to the "keep it coming" side. We sat right by the kitchen where the servers come out, but they time and time again just walked right by, and its far too loud for them to hear us, and we really shouldn't have to yell to get their attention. By the time they'd be heading back to our section, they'd be out of whatever meat they were serving. So for the first hour, we just had to keep getting items from the salad bar. It got a bit better later on, but still very little value for $60 per person.
My sons 30th birthday. My family and I went last year and had a good time. This time I was placed upstairs and had to go downstairs to get condiments and sides. By the time I got sides and walked upstairs and waited for meat my condiments and sides got cold. I don’t like med rare meat and asked for med/well. It took way too long for them to bring. I don’t eat cheese either and most of the beef and chicken are injected with it. By the time the pineapple came, I was already fed up and spoke to one of the staff. I told them I was not happy about paying these prices and none of the people at my table had no meat. To serve chicken drumsticks that is cheap meat is unacceptable. I will not be going ever again.
The service was not the best - slow and often missing our table.
The food was ok - the meat was great sides were basic.
Too expensive for the value.
What a SPECTACULAR night! First time taking family to celebrate birthdays and it will definitely a night to remember! Thank you so much!
Great food. Love the assortment of meats. Cheese bread was good. Loved the fried bananas and bbq'd pineapple. Busy place but expected with food this good.
It’s so overpriced just for standard side dishes and a wait for meat. First off, we made a reservation and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated though we walked in at our reservation time. The hostesses were rude and so arrogant. After being seated, the meat took forever. We all finished our plate of side dishes before anyone coming over to give us meat. And then all the meat was so salty it wasn’t enjoyable. The restaurant is also super loud. Definitely not worth the money.
This was our third time here so we are well aware of how this works. This time the wait for the meats to come to our table was very slow and when it did finally come it seemed to be the same meat repeatedly. We had to ask for meat a number of times. Needless to say we won’t be back.
Food was excellent...but we were continually waiting for meat. Put a damper on our experience.
