Please note that our patio is first come first serve and reservations are not accepted for outdoor seating. We only accept reservations for the dining room. A few tables as well as the bar are saved for walk ins. Due to our cozy setting, for reservations of parties over 4 people please call Coppa directly.
As Coppa is a small intimate restaurant with limited seats, we do ask if you are running late to please call and alert the host. If the party does not show up, the table is given away after 15 minutes. Thank you in advance!
Great experience for brunch. Food and drinks were so good! We look forward to things resolving with COVID-19 to come for a full dinner.
This is me and my friends go to spot when we want pasta! Always the best!
Cozy little place. Fabulous pasta. Good wine. Cute neighborhood.
Food was delicious and our waiter was very nice and attentive . My only negative is how small the restaurant is and how closely you are sitting to others. Also they don’t have a full cocktail menu mostly just wine but food is very very good
Good quality of food
Very little portions and way too expensive for that.
Service was unfriendly
Our favorite go to spot for any occasion. The perfect ambiance for date night or dinner with your Italian dad :)
Perfect neighborhood restaurant, serving simple but delicious good.
Never disappoints. Special place.
Excellent food hostess very friendly although small restaurant did not feel rushed . Waitress was good but very busy our table near the door so it was cold every time door opened . I would go back !
Classic South End Spot for Italian inspired Small small plates. Get the Caesar and Meatballs or Grinder. Can't lose.
Excellent food in a casual, intimate setting! I highly recommend Coppa!
COPPA REVIEW 3/3/20
We ate at Coppa 5pm yesterday and it was our first negative experience there, such that I am asking: “Does Coppa have a new chef ? ” Well the surprising answer, for me, is No. But why does he want to obliterate the clean dependable Island Creek Oyster flavor by over soaking it in a strong cranberry vinegar? All I can figure is that maybe the chef’s ego is greater than his wanting to showcase his excellent local product. The answer for me was to lift each oyster out of its overpowering vinegar bath , blot it, and eat it as is. Fantastic. The Celery Caesar was as scrumptious as ever. The scallop app. was nuanced and layered with unctuous treatments. The Arancini remain our favorite in the city. The very disappointing entrees were the Gemelli with its muddled flavors, and the Pizza which the menu description never mentioned- was covered with chili flakes. Our waitperson [she must be new] was slow and inattentive no matter how much we urged her to deliver our food. This affected considerably our overall experience there.
We will wait for some menu changes before returning.
Top 5 lunch of all time. Outstanding all around!
Perfect spot for a date or dinner with friends! Great food, good ambience, and an intimate setting all while keeping prices relatively affordable. It's a small place, so be sure to make a reservation.
Wow! Attentive service, incredible food. I can’t believe I waited so long to come here. One of my favorite meals to date in Boston!
Always delicious. The tagliatelle with pork sugo is equivalent to a bolognese but without the beef! A non-beef eaters dream.
Coppa was outstanding from start to finish. We had a couple of cocktails at the bar before our reservation, and the bartender made us a couple of great cocktails, and also let us know about his favorite menu items.
Our server was on point and gracious. (Thanks for chasing us down to let us know we forgot a pair of glasses!)
Each dish we ordered was superb, particularly the house made pasta dishes.
Make sure you order the zeppole, and if you are into amaro, go for the flight of three.
Gluten-free friendly, but not gluten-allergy friendly. Make sure you indicate allergy as it was clear that there is a lot of cross contamination that occurs in their kitchen.
After trying all the new, hyped places around town - it was nice to be back at Coppa with some new dishes and mainstays that knocked it out of the park
Laid back atmosphere, fairly small restaurant. Fun drink options including variations of the aperol spritz. My favorite was the Alessio Spritz - nice and light. The cacio e pepe pasta (Gemelli) was melt-in-your-mouth good. I loved the sopressata pizza (always enjoy a nice combo of spicy sausage and a drizzle of sweet). Lastly (although first thing we ate), I enjoyed the Insalata salad. Big enough to share for two, and it had very thinly sliced pecorino on top that complimented the greens nicely. Will definitely be returning to this lovely spot!
Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. I will definitely go back.
Crazy overpriced for mediocre food masquerading as authentic Italian. We booked a reservation here after researching places and expecting it to rival our favorites in the Nj and NYC area. No such luck. Cheese was pre-sluced and dry on the charcuterie boards, pizza was overly salted and with only small drops of real mozzarella. Don’t waste your time or money.
We went last night for family dinner into this cozy little restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and helpful making us feel really wellcomed !
Everything we tasted was amazingly delicious!
The best and unique cezar’s salad so different from any other we have ever tasted! The Roasted broccoli and the arancini supported our estimate of an interesting diner to follow
The pizza was excellent and crusty
The tagliatelle con sugo simply unforgettable!
At the end Zeppole was awaiting us! Fluffy donuts with nutela
The most appropriate closing to a delicious dinner experience !
Definitely we will visit again!
Perfect night, perfect food, perfect service
I've loved coppa for a long time but this visit was a disappointment. Server neglected to bring us bread, even after we asked. Pasta dish came out first and servers kept trying to take it away before we were finished -- we were waiting for bread to try to enjoy the remaining sauce. It's a $20 something plate of pasta and not particularly large so we didn't really want to squander it. The crudo used to be maybe 8 small pieces of fish with fun garnish. Now it's 5. The rest of the meal was okay. Disappointing overall.
Lovely little restaurant with a friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent! Our favorite dishes were the Caesar celery salad & the tagliatelle. Definitely going back!
Very cool neighborhood corner spot. Everything was excellent
Gorgeous food, lovely ambience with soft lighting. Perfect for 2 or 4 people max given the space. Service was excellent, would definitely go back to try more of the food. Absolutely loved this evening
Service was amazing - had a great server who had us try different wines and recommended great drinks and apps. Food was good, but small plates so recommend sharing several things.
Anything in their menu is good to excellent! It’s a small restaurant, definitely try to make a reservation if you want to be seated without waiting for an hour. I had a white anchovy appetizer fresh and savory and a large pasta sheets with ox tail ragout for lunch the other day, omg it’s heaven in the plate, love it sooooo much I think about it all the time, yummmmy!!!
Exactly what a sophisticated small neighborhood restaurant should be!
One of my favorite dining experiences in South End in the past 6 months. Great food!
We had a fun time at Coppa, and everyone enjoyed their food. It’s nice to be able to share the small plates. There are always lots of interesting options, including vegetarian options.
Always the best. Top Boston restaurant. No matter the time of day, year, etc. Top frickin’ notch.
I just love it here! Food is amazing, interesting one selection, great staff and atmosphere. But it's soooo small that I highly recommend making a reservation.
Always a great dinner at Coppa! Favorite Italian place in Boston.
This place is great! The food is very good and perfect for sharing. The atmosphere is cozy, it’s not that big, but they’ve laid it out perfectly. The service is excellent. I’ve been here twice now, I highly recommend it. It’s popular, you need to call ahead and make a reservation.
