The Copper Grouse serves regionally-inspired, soulful dishes from the kitchen. Not to be missed, our beverage program of classic cocktails, artisanal spirits, Vermont craft beers and a wide selection of Wines from regions spanning the globe. Reservations are required for all dinning and all meal periods. Last dinner seating on Fridays and Saturdays is 9:00pm.
In accordance with our governors Covid-19 mandates, all guests are required to be out of the restaurant at 10pm. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, as we strictly adhere to the 10pm mandate. Thank you!

We’ve eaten here off and on since the hotel has opened. Unfortunately, the food taste and quality have declined over the year and this was our worst experience yet. Our group had the smoked pork ribs, which were the only halfway decent tasting food we had that night, but the baked beans were a big cakey blob that was dry and had no flavor. The coleslaw looked like it was leftover from the day before and the cabbage lacked any texture or flavor. I ordered a salad with medium rare salmon. It came out with chicken. I had finished my salad before the salmon came out. It was well done and tasted horrible. I couldn’t eat it. We made a comment about the food to our server, but no comment, just a pause in what he was attempting to tell us at the time. A very disappointing experience, and we have written this place off as a dinner choice going forward.
Delicious food, options for smaller plates, great service. Music a bit loud, pricey wine list but house wine quite good.

This was the second time for dinner. The first time was last July, mid-pandemic. The service and the food then was far superior to tonight, sorry to say. My halibut was undercooked and my husband’s filet was “ok” but not worth the price. (Although the presentation was lovely.) Also, the menu listed prime rib as a special, but had not been updated to remove it from several days ago. I requested a Gibson martini, but the bar doesn’t stock cocktail onions. Seriously? The mushroom-barley soup was very good and the rhubarb/raspberry crisp was outstanding. Alas, we never got our coffee and had to ask to have the bill adjusted. The server never apologized for the error! For $200+, I don’t think we’ll be returning any time soon.

We had two dinner. Food was very good except for halibut which tasted defrosted and over cooked. Service was excellent both times although kitchen was quite slow the first night. Waitress last night was just terrific

We chose cooper grouse because their website stated that they serve dinner at 4pm. When we arrived for our 4pm reservation, we found out that they weren't serving their dinner menu until 5pm. Server was very inexperienced, and did not enter our orders properly. To "make up for our patience", they sent out some bread. Disappointed to say the least.
On behalf of the management team we are deeply sorry for our communication error that effected your stay with us. We would like to invite you back to make up for us dropping the ball that day.

We have come to The Copper Grouse a couple of times now and it is always incredible. The food is excellent, and the service is always above and beyond. It's familiar and comfortable, with the staff anticipating your needs and available to help with anything. We are already making plans to come back.

Great food, wonderful menu, friendly staff. We ate there 2 nights in a row. The burrata appetizer was delicious, the halibut entree was exceptional and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The vegetable accompanying each entree and appetizer were fresh and fabulous.

From start to finish everything at Copper Grouse was wonderful. It was storming outside and we came in looking like drowned rats. The hostess was gracious and didn't blink. We were seated immediately in an immaculately prepared dining room with Covid safety in mind.
Soon after getting settled, our friendly and appropriately welcoming server came to see what he could get us. The service was well paced, and the meal was delicious. My husband is on a restricted diet right now, and they were very receptive to his request. Both of us thought our entrées (Seafood Rice Bowl and a modified Caesar Salad with Salmon) and our shared appetizer of asparagus and mushrooms were really above and beyond. We would have been satisfied with a decently executed preparation and presentation, as these aren't particularly difficult dishes, but we were pleasantly surprised at how truly gourmet and subtle the flavors were.
My martini was perfect, and the server made sure he got the details right when I ordered it, repeating what I had asked for which I really appreciated. The check came in a timely fashion, not too quickly and not too slowly. Overall, a perfect first indoor dining experience in a year! Looking forward to returning soon.

The food was terrible! We had the special chicken and wild rice soup which hardly had any chicken in it, and was more of just broth. Both of our dinners were terribly over salted, and the steak was unevenly cooked. It was ordered medium, and 2 bites were medium the rest were medium well or well. For $42 steak I expected better, but the real problem was the salty food. My husband had the colossal shrimp special (2shrimp over risotto) and that was salty with undercooked risotto. I know risotto isn’t supposed to be soft, but our dinner was served within 20 min of ordering so it makes sense why the risotto was crunchy. Drinks were good, and service was prompt.

Very overpriced for the quality and experience. Service is rushed and curt. We saw the take out menu later and found that the QR code menu in the restaurant is lacking descriptions. Would have been helpful to know what our choices were in more detail. Overall it felt far too crowded for COVID times. Would not recommend!

We went to the copper grassroots Sunday night dinner after three days in Manchester. The service is very good, the servers are super casually dressed which is fine. It cost more than our five star dinner at the Silver Fork which was a slightly shocking and the same wine we had at the Silver Fork was $25 more expensive per bottle. Some thing they might want to consider… Otherwise super great casual atmosphere and lovely setting.

Felt a bit rushed throughout our meal; we were seated at 8:30 (when our reservation was), and were told by the hostess that all guests needed to be out by 10pm due to state ordinance. Our waitress told us this multiple times and then as we went through our meal asked about dessert and final drinks before we'd finished eating. We still left by 9:30, but just felt a bit like we were being hurried out, despite plenty of other people still being in the restaurant when we left.
