Great lunch on the terrace.
This is one of my favourite places in the City I am always there, today I took members of my team as part of the government scheme . The food is always amazing. However today the service suffered.
Its a must place, food and ambience always amazing
Very nice to get out there and have a meal again and this seemed a safe place to have it. My only complaint for an otherwise very good meal would be that there was a bit of up-selling going on: fancy a bottle of Ruinart Rose (£125) no mention of price. Asked for the cheaper Languedoc one (£49) and told not available on the terrace. They then produced one I think after noticing that I wasn't a city-walleted client. That being said, service was charming and attentive and the food excellent. Would definitely go again. Excellent value 3 course lunch for £34.
It was lovely!
Great venue, good atmosphere, good food all let down by lazy, dis-interested waiting staff. When I asked for a wine list, i was told by the waitress who didn't even stop but carried on walking past the table to use the app on my phone. Another staff member saw this and came over who was very helpful in selecting a nice bottle. This restaurant is not cheap and I can only think that it's badly managed if the waiting staff are able to provide this service. I suppose this explains why we were able to get a reservation on short notice. Overall a shame as small details can make a big impact on these types of establishments. The food was good but with so many options in London, I will not be going back any time soon.
Considering we still have some restrictions due to Covid-19 we had a great evening at Coa d’Argent. It was a lovely summer evening so we had drinks on the sun deck before dinner. The drinks and food menu were very easy to access on your mobile phone after scanning a bar code located on your table. Every care was taken for your safety with temperature checks on arrival, staff with face masks, social distanced tables or Perspex table dividers etc. We had the set menu and the food was great and staff were fantastic. We had a fantastic time so we highly recommend supporting restaurants opening again by dining at Coq d’Argent!
Excellent, relaxed lunch despite the weird ambience of COVID-19 social distancing (which was scrupulously observed by the helpful and attentive staff).
Needless to say, the food and wine was excellent.
Fantastic as usual, and felt both normal and safe post covid with the usual Coq d'Argent offer, but with social distance and masks. :)
Was so good to be back eating in this wonderful restaurant again. The service was amazing and you could tell they have thought a lot about safety of their customers. The food was excellent and I can’t wait to go back again!
Excellent food great service
Calm and sophisticated. Delicous menu. Good wine list with decent wines without crazy mark-ups.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon for the Alpine brunch for a friend's birthday. Aside from there being no lamb shanks available, the menu was varied and so tasty. The Alpine classics are a nice variation on a typical brunch menu. The dessert table is epic, you can have as much as you like and all the delicacies we sampled were very nicely made. The staff were very friendly and attentive and overall it was a lovely dining experience.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere.
Great value set menu. Good for business lunch/dinner.
Nice experience, but not the super first class service and the lamb shank whilst full of favour was a little tough. Lamb shank is the signature dish that we love having but this time was just ok not spectacular like the dish normally is.
The service was really good
Visited this restaurant several times, always brilliant.
Very attentive service, excellent food, a little rushed ( waiter kept coming over to see if we'd finished) , but the candle and little birthday treats was a nice touch.
One of the best choices for business breakfast in the City - amazing food and service, great location, never disappoints!
Just loved my evening at the restaurant! Good food, good atmosphere with a good company!
One of our favourite restaurants in London
The food was absolutely lovely, the set menu option is great. It isn’t too loud in there and the ambiance is lovely. My only critique is we felt rushed through our dinner. Possibly because we had the set menu they serve the courses quickly as they are pre-prepared, but the courses came very quick after one another so there was little time to have a breather between. I noticed the waiters looked over a few times so did give an atmosphere that you can’t relax. I would understand If it was really busy and the tables needed to be freed up but it was half-filled that night.
I met my friend for a girls catchup and pre birthday celebration so we took advantage of the Evening Standard menu at three courses plus a glass of fizz for £35. It is expensive but worth it. The food was gorgeous and the atmosphere perfect for what we wanted. The restaurant was busy and it looked like a lot of the other diners were enjoying the Evening Standard deal.
Really enjoyed the meal.
Excellent vegan menu; very well thought out, clever and tasty dishes.
The had an event that evening so we ended up being ushered out which I thought lacked decorum considering the location and that I was entertaining a client, who thankfully was very understanding.
My friend and I dined at Coq d’Argent last Thursday. What a delightful experience - exquisite food, cosy and buzzy atmosphere and lovely service. We had champagne on the terrace beforehand. A wonderful evening - thank you to all. I’ve already rebooked for another friend’s birthday next month.
Undisclosed service charge per head in addition to billed gratuity at 12.5%
The service, food, drinks, ambience are always excellent here.
Surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. Great food.
Great service and food in a very relaxing ambience. Will definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor space
Wonderful setting, easy to get to with fabulous views. Service was polished and friendly. Food was delicious; portions size was perfect and cocktails were potent and unique. We had a fantastic meal and can't wait to return. Thank you for a perfect evening.
Food was outstanding and service was brilliant definitely going back.
