    Checked the web site before booking & expected to have the set menu £30/35, however discovered this had stopped & only £70 festive set menu available. Spent double to what I expected. Checked the web site the following day & realised festive menu available on a Sunday for half the price!! Disappointed.

    Wow! Came for an experience and I had one from the moment I step out from the lift. The security gentleman greet me with a level of gratitude and the lady at the desk offered table 205 which is perfect for a single dinner. The lady who look after me had attention to detail and the gentleman overlooking the floor had a click on asking her to remove a cover from the table as I was by myself. Amazing taste in food and amazing management/sommeliers looking over the floor.

    Very poor service, waitress we had seemed moody and was very unhelpful, only one vegan option for food on the menu, no option at all for starter - cauliflower starter was so plain it could be poured from a can. The only enjoyable part was a drink at the temporary Apres Ski Bar style heated terrace and waiter there was super friendly and attentive.

    I found out about Coq d'Argent after an extensive search for a special dinner with a modern touch of French cuisine in London. The elegant ambience is the first thing to be acknowledged. The Angus steak was perfectly cooked and the lamb was incredibly delicious. It conquered us despite we were not a big fan of the meat. All dishes were elegantly presented and the portion sizes were sufficiently served according to each part of the meal. The reception /front desk staff (including the door supervisor) and the tall, strong brunette waiter who served us at the end of our dinner need to be highlighted - all of them were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Definitively we'll be back soon for another dinner.

    All was great thought I ordered sea trout and I found couple couple quite big fish bones in my food. Thought service was great. Portion size perfect…a bit noisy but it was expected due to location and being it linch time. Agne

    Price of the food not worth it for the terrible service. Sommelier tried to upsell from a £40 bottle of wine to a £157 magnum and once this was refused provided service that was verging on rude, including splashing wine when it was poured and pouring white wine into my sister in law's rose. They did then provide a free refill and free bottle of wine but in my opinion this didn't make up for the way we were made to feel. Used to love this restaurant but quality has diminished.

    From arrival to departure the whole dining experience could not be faulted. A wonderful location in the heart of the city, service was impeccable, the menu choices were first class making it somewhat difficult to make a decision on what to eat. The quality of food served was out of this world and will definitely return to sample more of the food choices.

    Staff were efficient and friendly. Food was good, not amazing. Overall it was 'nice'. Thought it was odd to charge us a cover charge of £2 each (which the wait staff could not explain what it was for) as well as 15% service charge.

    The food was fantastic That’s all one can say. Shockingly empty; maybe 6 tables occupied at 8.30 - and although that could be the sign of a city venue on a Saturday night, it had the sense of just being…having been popular…once. The vases on the table seemed somewhat 80s, and the waiter with a pulled loose tie and stubble, gave the sense he was a Trader by day, who had finished a tough shift… And to have to ask for the wine list and not get it until starters were served…ludicrous!

    Was the second time I'd been. Everything was perfect except my steak, it was a bit chewy, they offered to replace it, I said no thanks (as I needed to get back to work) and just asked them for a sharp knife, which they gave me, and at the end they didn't charge for the steak. I was ready to pay for it, so it was a nice gesture. Moreover they handled the whole thing very discreetly and professionally. Couldn't recommend this place more. The mark of a good business is how it handles things when they go wrong. This is a very good place. Strongly recommend.

    Nicely presented food, but completely lacked flavour (salmon terrine and pumpkin ravioli) - incredibly bland. They need to work on the flavours. Very expensive too.

    If you’ve never been to Coq D’Argent I would highly recommended their Saturday set lunch menu. The food, ambiance and service are all excellent. We had the 25th Anniversary menu with l’Escargot to start (which were beautifully cooked - flavoursome and tender). The always excellent Coq Au Vin as a main and delicious caramelised Tarte Tatin for desert. We dined outside on the terrace and all the staff were superb - accommodating, professional and welcoming - particularly Sommelier Ricardo. Five stars!

    Superb food, superb atmosphere, superb service! A very enjoyable experience. Fabulous views from the terrace, too. We ate outside. It was a bit windy due to Storm Agatha, but not at all unpleasant. I'd definitely go there again if given the chance.

    Expensive but good for a celebration. Service very good. Lots of outside dining with some heaters available. Ask for a table by the window as quieter than being centrally placed in the room, especially if you're by a large table where voices become raised.

    Booked a table for a date and per special request was informed that flowers bouquet has been arranged on the table, but didn't find one on arriving nor placed later during the stay. The final bill was paid thru contactless and it was Declined. The bearer left the table without checking and I had to point it out to pay by inserting the card to the machine.

    A lovely atmosphere and a great setting outdoors for lunch on a sunny day. Service was pretty average and too inflexible. We were dining a la carte but they would not allow me to order a starter from the set lunch menu (the cheaper option) which was not on the main menu. I could have understood it the other way round but it seemed poor for a restaurant of this quality

    We will never return to this restaurant. It was our first and last visit. It took 20 minutes for someone to get our drinks and another 20 for someone to come take our order. There were 3 steaks ordered around the table and none of them were cooked to the right temperature. Considering how long we’d already waited, we agreed not to send the steaks back. We were not provided steak knives and when we finally received them, they did little to cut through the meat. The food in general was poor. Drink refills were ordered that never came and we had 3 different servers throughout our meal. It was an unorganized and slow experience I would like to never experience again. Do yourself a favour and give this place a skip - the viewing platform isn’t worth it and there’s plenty better.

    Seen and be Seen. Good food but the chairs are old and about to fall apart. No Joke. I tried to move my green chair with 3 or 4 others. Horrible. But the menu is good. I did the upgrade beef and it was good. Starters are good. If your british you are right at home. Good food. Good service. Great Wine. Horrible chairs. I am confident this place can afford to upgrade. But if you want to seen and be seen and like arrogance in certain staff this is your place. LOL. I will return. But please replace those awful chairs.

    Possibly the last really warm evening of the 2023 summer: a perfect opportunity to savour the Coq d'Argent's outside terrace. Delicious burrata with lots of green basil pesto, but the star of the meal was the roast suckling pig (I think it was called "porcelet" on the set menu) with rosemary & garlic - an absolute winner and something of a bargain too. The Citari "Conchiglia" 2021 Lugana white from the Veneto went perfectly with both the burrata and the pork - I had a bottle this time, but it's also available by the glass. My Perfect Manhattan didn't arrive till I'd nearly finished the Burrata, but, it was superb and I was happy to drink it between courses, so it seemed unfair to reduce the service score just for this - everything else was great. I especially appreciated that the sommelier, despite an increasingly busy restaurant, took the trouble to top up my glass every time I needed it. As enjoyable an evening at the Coq as I can recall, definitely back to pre-pandemic standards and atmosphere.
