Lovely service
Astonishing that as well as 12.5% service charge they also add a cover charge (not mentioned anywhere when booking or on menu) then add extra for their “lady garden fund” again with zero mention. What the heck is a lady garden fund anyway?!?
Check your bill carefully.

Overall, great experience, with excellent food.

We arrived early for lunch to a VIP welcome, the staff were friendly and looked after us well.

Later on the restaurant got busier and the service slipped, with long waits for a couple of things.

Overall positive.

Lazarus the sommelier was a star - he saved the day . Meet and greet was miserable and this French restaurant serves cold cheese ! Won’t go back

We had a lovely experience when we visited Coq d’Argent. Great location to find, right beside the bank tube station.
We enjoyed a beautiful meal overlooking the city skyline which was enhanced by staff who couldn’t do more to make us feel welcome.
Thank you.

I've been to coq d'argent many times before, however this time the service was so poor. Rude waitresses, wine glasses which were empty for so long I contemplated getting it myself and had to resort to waving at staff. I ordered the risotto it was poorly seasoned, and basically just a cheese mess. One of the worst risottos I have ever had. We had to wait 30 minutes for the bill too, yet still charged service charge. Such a shame as previously I have always had such lovely meals there. I won't be rushing back again.

The food was OK, not great. Definitely overpriced for what you get. The service was not good at all. Our waitress didn't ask us how the food was, or if we needed anything and she didn't explain things properly to us. I would only go back for the scenic view and have a drink. I will not eat there again.

I used to love this place but yesterday most of the staff were quite arrogant and general level of service is poor. Food is absolutely amazing though.

Food disappointing and dramatically overpriced. The lamb well presented was bland and I've had better in pubs. The steak was ok but presentation woeful. Service was acceptable but again not up to scratch given the prices. I was very much looking forward to dinner and am willing to pay well for great food but this place let me down.

Not our first visit here, so knew what to look forward to and we certainly weren't disappointed. As always, the welcome was warm and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The set menu was very good value, with sufficient choices to suit all members of our party. Will definitely return.

We made the most of the weather and went for lunch at Coq d’Argent. Their rooftop terrasse is an oasis in the middle of the City and provide a real break from work. The food was absolutely amazing, very fresh and tasty and good portions too. The ham croquette and smoked trout starter is fabulous with a very interesting mix of flavours. The stone bass served with crab risotto was superb and I finished with a vanilla poached pineapple and mango which was the perfect kind of desert: not too sweet, light and fresh. We had a lovely time!

A nice way to spend Easter Sat lunch. We were well look after. Food was great and was surprised the portion was standard size. So plenty to eat...The chef did over salted the potato rosti so this was sent back.

I did misread the free flow champagne deal as this was an additional £38 on top of the lunch deal. So if you just want a glass or 2 then not worth it....

Overall a enjoyable experience....

We thoroughly enjoyed an aperitif & set menu dinner on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. The food & service was excellent & they brought over some lovely petite sweets with a lit candle in one which was a lovely touch. The wine by the glass & house Armagnac was very good. All in all a very pleasant evening.

An excellent Sunday lunch. Been before during the week with normal a la carte and drinking very expensive wine. Much more restrained this time around (Sunday Lunch deal and one bottle between four of us) but treated with equal consummate professionalism by the staff - they go out of their way to make the experience special. It's a no-brainer to return next time I am in the City on a Sunday. Well done to all at Coq d'Argent!
