   Went to celebrate my girlfriends 50th birthday. We were with her kids and all noted the great decor. Had some Spanish champagne and a bottle of French rose. Enjoyed some gazpacho, foie Gras, jumbo shrimp with garlic. All appetizers were sublimely wonderful. Artfully designed. Then came the entrees. Crispy Salmon, Grilled trout, and seared snapper. The snapper appeared broiled. It had some lump crab meat with a burre blanc reduction. The French green beans perfectly cooked was a nice touch. Jesus, our waiter was superb. Very courteous and attentive. Hats off to the chef and owners of this Bellaire gem. The deserts were not to be missed. The Babu of Rhum was delicately prepared and as if floating on a cloud of cream. Manchego cheesecake was dense enough to hold lots of flavor. And my girlfriends apple tart was divine.

   It was one of the most enjoyable evenings we have had in a long time. The food was delicious, prepared with care and creativity. Wonderful service and ambiance. We will return many more times!

   Horrible experience!!! $85 per person...for what?? My boyfriend and I should have left the moment we saw the sticker price and that it was a set menu. For that amount of money that one spends in this place, I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The food had a lack of taste in every single dish on the set menu , it was deplorable. I also was thirsty the entire time because all I got was a very small Pellegrino and a very small glass. I had to ask the waiter multiple times for something to drink because I was so thirsty from the lack of food that was not satisfying my appetite. Every single plate that was served to me I did not finish, and I was extremely surprised that the waiters or a general manager did not pick up on this for the sticker price of what we were spending. I was extremely disappointed that not one person noticed how dissatisfied I was with the dinner and did not say anything to me. Overall, my boyfriend and I should've spoke up and demanded that we get our money back. I would have rather eaten cardboard then return to this place ever again. And one last thing, the owners or managers of the restaurant smiled at us as we walked out and said "we hope you enjoyed your meal and have a good night." We got played!

   The food was okay but we were shocked to see that we were charged $6.00 for the "table treat" that we asked to have replenished. That treat was comprised of about 6 or 7 very small Spanish olives. Also, it was surprising that they didn't have Chardonnay by the glass.

    From starter tromp l’oeil olive amuse bouche to strawberry cake dessert, every dish was beautifully presented. The white asparagus foam with iberico ham crisp was artful, the snapper crepe was light, the octopus with black garlic was tender, and the lamb rack was flavorful and not greasy. Chef Gabriel Reyes and the wait staff did an amazing job, and are so friendly. Even one guest who is not so enthusiastic about tasting menu was won over.

    Absolutely loved this place. We live in the area and it is so nice to have a place of this caliber to dine near by. The food was fabulous and the wine and drink list were great too.

    Very nice almost neighborhood restaurant. We enjoy very much excellent Spanish food. Good service, a bit busy servers. On a pick hour, a bit loud. Overall nice experience. We certainly will come again, and it’s not our fist time.

    This restaurant is a hidden gem in Bellaire. Attentive service, Excellent food, always wonderfully prepared. We'd had not visited in a while (we moved out of the area); but upon entering, we remembered how wonderful this restaurant is-the ambiance warm and welcoming. Wonderful Fish, Excellent wine selection; and save room for the Manchego Cheese cake for dessert!

    The restaurant atmosphere is very lovely. The noise level on a Saturday evening was high. The food was good, but we’ve had better there at previous visits. Still, the menu offers interesting opportunities and the desserts are wonderful.

    We celebrated our anniversary at Costa Brava. Everything we ate was exquisite, from the appetizers and soups to the desserts. Two standouts were the gazpacho and the apple tart, flawlessly nuanced in seasoning and preparation. There are so many tempting dishes left to try, we will need to go back, and would definitely recommend for a very special dining experience.

    Was greeted immediately and seated. Didn’t have to wait at all to order drinks or appetizers. Servers were 11/10! One even recognized me from four months ago. Truly a warm welcome every time. Chef Kathryn was personable and approachable. Food was incredible as always. That octopus is worth the flight from AR to eat there. Even thought he restaurant was full. The atmosphere created sense of privacy and allowed for intimate conversation with my date. Overall, 10/10, would recommend!!!

    Wonderful to have such upscale dining in Bellaire. Service was outstanding. Food was excellent. Nice wine list and server very familiar with the wines and gave a great recommendation for a wine under $100 per bottle.

    We were greeted by Angeles, one of the owners. She showed us to our table, seated us, and chatted with us briefly before returning to the front of the restaurant to greet other incoming guests. We enjoyed well-made cocktails before ordering appetizers of Grilled Spanish Octopus and an off-the-menu soup. Meanwhile, we were treated to amuse bouche of an olive paste and olives, served with what may be the most delicious bread we've tasted in Houston. The other couple shared the Seafood Black Rice, while my wife had the Gulf Red Snapper, and I had the absolutely incredible Cochinillo: Roast Suckling Pig. (I noticed all three plates were completely empty after dinner, and these were not small portions.) The other couple then ordered the white bean stew that accompanied my Cochinillo. We enjoyed some verry good wines by the glass recommended by our waiter. One was a Tempranillo, and the other was a Spanish Chablis, but I cannot recall the name of either wine. We finished the meal with a Blueberry-Buttermilk Cake that was more than ample for the two of us. Our only complaint was that we were seated just outside a semi-private room that seated eight, so our table was much noisier than most. Otherwise, this meal was outstanding. This is our first visit to the new location, but we'll be back soon and often.

    The food at Costa Brava has always been very good, but tonight it may have been even better than expected. Fresh, light ceviche starter was outstanding, and all of our fish dishes were absolutely delicious. Dessert was great also. We shared a very nice bottle of Spanish white for around $50. We are never disappointed here.

    Very enjoyable. We could actually hear each other. They actually remembered the wine I prefer, later discovered that they had previously made a note on the computer. That detail evidenced an effort appreciation for my business and excellent service on their part. We will continue to dine here and look forward to another enjoyable experience.

    Has ALWAYS been fantastic, a hidden gem, we drive 40 minutes each way to dine there. Everything on the menu is great. Great curated wine list, good value. Entrees have gotten pricey but that is just a sign of the times.

    The taste of the food is nowhere near what it used to be. Very disappointed. It was our return to Costa Brava after COVID restrictions. We wasted $150 for not much. Not coming back. Sad.

    Lovely, quaint, neighborhood restaurant. Place was packed, every table and bar was full. We have been here twice now. Service and food have been excellent (loved the snapper).
