We have been coming here for years, and enjoy it more each time.
Venda is consistent both in food and service, absolutely one of the
best restaurants on Federal Hill and Providence !!
Amazing authentic Italian food in a beautiful location!!
Food wasn’t piping hot, disappointed overall
Our experience here was terrible.
Other than the man working at the valet and the buser upstairs, every staff member we met seemed too annoyed or uninterested in being there let alone serving us dinner. Our server checked in to take our order and after that we never saw him again. We requested to move to a smaller available table away from 2 very large and noisy groups, which no one ever acknowledged. After receiving our food no one checked in to see if the orders were correct or if we needed anything else. The upstairs dining area was dirty and a total mess. Napkins and food everywhere, uncleared tables, etc. Not only would I never return to this place but I would tell people to steer clear if they have any hope of an enjoyable dining experience.
Great food and exceptional service.
Has to ask for silverware, salt & pepper as well as the coffee was not close to hot. The waitstaff runners kept bringing food to the wrong tables. Everyone Seemed very disorganized and confused.
Never recived our reservation from Open Table. Sat in a bar area near a door that was constantly open on a 25 degree night, very cold while eating dinner. Food took a while but was very good.
In summary. Food was very good, dining experience was not very good.
This was our first time and it was delicious! The Lobster Ravioli was the most delicious I have ever tasted.. I was blown away with how good the food was. We had calamari to start which was good and the bread was great, the bolognese and lobster ravioli were delicious. We drank delicious wine and limoncello and finished off the meal with delectable tiramisu. Overall the entire meal was fantastic and we'll be back for sure.
Great food and a great value
The food was incredible. I had the lobster ravioli and my boyfriend had the sirloin and they were both cooked to perfection. The service was not very good. Not sure if it was that my boyfriend and I are a younger couple, but our server read everyone else the specials and not us. He kind of just rushed us along, even though it was NYE and we were trying to have a nice, slow dinner. Would go back again for the food, but wouldn't expect much of the service.
The best rigatoni and sauce! Management and wait staff were so nice and knowledgeable. The real deal if your looking for authentic Italian!
The veal was like shoe leather and the noise was overwhelming. The maitre-d didn't do anything to tone it down out of respect for the other guests. Not going back.
Delicious meal !
It was a wonderful meal and great service.
We were all disappointed by one meal being served so far ahead of the other 3 meals. By the time the other 3 were served, the first was just about done with his meal. It made it a very awkward situation.
The main courses were good and the service was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the tables tipped back and forth and we ended up having to make the fixes ourselves with some odd bits of cardboard. One would have thought that the restaurant would have carried wedges for this.
The Tiramisu was a big disappointment. Completely bland and small.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing!! Food was excellent! Service was also great including the valet parking. We will definitely be returning
We love Contantino's!!! My daughters favorite pic when we come visit her at Providence College
Food delicious, service spectacular and ambience great!
Food was terrible! Pasta was sticky and gummy and lukewarm. One pasta dish tasted more like Asian noodles rather than Italian.
I will not go back there again and I am glad none of my party got sick!!!
Wait staff was decent but hostess was distant/cold and only interested in flirting with the wait staff.
Food was great service was good, restaurant was over booked, we had a 8:00 reservation and were seated at 8:25. Host apologized several times but never offered a drink while we waited.
They over booked and placed us, along with other parties, in the over flowing seating thats located in the butcher shop across the street.
I made reservations at Costantino’s Venda Bar & Ristorante after having their cheese raviolis and meatballs at the Federal Hill Columbus Day Festival. This year was my first time going to the Festival, and the cheese raviolis and meatballs were so delicious I went back the next day and had them again. I made reservations with the intention of having the same delicious cheese raviolis and meatballs a third time. I ordered the cheese raviolis with marinara sauce and had to ask my server whether they had meatballs or not because they weren’t listed anywhere on the menu. Much to my delight our server informed me that they do have meatballs so I ordered two to go with my cheese raviolis. When my meal came it looked different than the meal I had eaten at the Festival but more importantly it tasted completely different. The cheese raviolis were just as delicious but the marinara sauce was not smooth like it was at the Festival. It was chunky and had a bitter taste which essentially ruined the cheese raviolis since they were doused in it. The meatballs were disappointing as well. They were tough and dry. Overall, the meal was a very big disappointment. I would have never known that the two meals were prepared by the same restaurant because the meal I had at the Festival knocked it out of the park, and the meal I had a few weeks later was a waste of $80. I will not be back.
The service was very slow. I ordered Vodka sauce with Shrimp it said Jumbo shrimp and I asked the waiter/bartender if they were big and he said yes jumbo. They were medium at best. The sauce was good. Two people got the veal park and one other got chicken parm. They all said the sauce had no flavor. We asked for some Parmesan cheese and never received it. Most Italian restaurants they automatically offer it. Drink service was very slow. They sat us in the back bar area where people were standing around our table and it was very loud. The tiramisu was good.
I was really excited about coming here on the recommendation of a family memeber. Generally we go to Sienna, but we wanted to switch it up for our anniversary. I had ravioli and vodka sauce (vegetarian) the ravioli was okay not what I was expecting from a place that makes their own, but the sauce was extremely bland and disappointing. My husband enjoyed the steak, but at first the shrimp was misusing and did not come out until we were finished. Service seemed slightly irritated starting with the hostess and continued to the server.
Additionally it doesn’t seem like they do anything for special occasions so there isn’t really any reason to specify if you’re celebrating. Most likely will not return and will stick with our usual spots instead.
The food was enjoyed by all. However, our server left much to be desired.
The service this time was slow to non-existent. When we were seated, they only brought us 1 menu (2 people). After about 15 minutes when no one came to our table again , I went up and retrieved one myself. When they sat us, they put us in a corner next to a very large table. Most of the time we couldn't communicate because they were so loud we had to repeat ourselves 3-4 times.
Once the waiter came, things were good, however, I think maybe they just stretched them out too far, as the waiter was like a ghost. If you didn't get everything you wanted, you won't see him again for at least 15 minutes or longer.
They had no record of my Open Table reservation. I had to wait for an available table. Crowded. Noisy, and the staff way over worked.
Veal parm was excellent! Outstanding service.
The server Darren was excellent he answered all our questions about the menu we had and drinks. I can not drink a certain alcohol and he made sure the drink I wanted didn’t have that in it. I was really in the mood to try a certain thing on their menu and he made sure I was able to get it. I will definitely go back to this restaurant and recommend it to friends and family
We were seated by the bar ( we had a reservation) but the server was not all that attentive. It seemed like this was an additional responsibility for him that he was not prepared for. Also, the pizza was not hot and clearly had been sitting out before being delivered to our table. Overall, the service was marginal.
This is a B level family restaurant. Not fun or special but good enough food.
Nothing to write home about. This place came highly recommended but honestly found the food lackluster. Nothing wrong with any of it but have certainly had better Italian. Service and host desk were mediocre.
The hostesses were not very amicable. We were asked if the table suited us. When we replayed we would prefer a table not in the middle of the room, we were told that was not going to happen since they were booked.
Our server and bus boys were kind.
Two couples, outside dining with great ambiance-
Loved the hustle and bustle-
Food, drinks and service did NOT disappoint
We were thrilled to eat out of doors on a lovely evening with a charming and efficient server (Megan) where we could reminisce together about Italy ..she is Italian American and we lived in Rome for 17 years. We had hoped to be seated at Camille's or The Old Canteen, for old time's sake, but there were no reasonably timed reservations available. We were this very pleased to be seated at Constantino's. Grazie mille!
Sent back my Bloody Mary. It was very watery and foamy on top. Rather strange- very little taste. The salads that my friends had they said were very good. My steak tips on my salad were tough. I left a couple Of pieces because I couldn’t cut with knife. Usually I love Venda but this day for me was disappointing. Server was very nice!
Restaurant overall was great, however service was a little slow.
The. Seats the springs were coming right through only seen the waiter once a big fell from behind the painting into my wives meal no manager even came to see us place was nasty ipstairs
When I sat down outside, my seat was soaking wet therefore my white pants were wet. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer and two entrées. It all came out at once. The mussels were cold. Ambiance was great but the food and service was mediocre.
