Visited the restaurant and was greeted by a friendly man to start, they took our order pretty promptly which was good. I ordered the calamari to start, it was pretty good, a little dongy for my liking! but the garlic mayonnaise to go with, was incredible!! So seemed like a pretty good start to the meal, however the main came up, I had the chicken breast with potato gratin sauce and mushrooms; there were fair too many mushrooms and that's coming from a massive mushroom lover, the chicken was a bit burnt on the outside and cut in half, one side of the chicken breast was not cooked and was still quite pink, and blood juiced out when pressed! Not GOOD!! the potato gratin was by fair the best part of the dish, as the Bearnaise sauce seem to have curdled and tasted burnt! Great service but food was not up to service standard
Went for New Year’s Eve with kids early evening was quiet but it got busier. Glass of prosecco on arrival. Good portions. Kids menu is very good value
Always have a good time here, staff are always so helpful and friendly.
Great food. Large portions and waiter was very attentive. When my husband had to pop out right when our food was arriving he offered many solutions to ensure he had a good meal. Thanks!
This is our second visit. We were seated at the back of the restaurant . It was dark and gloomy not Christmassy. Last year we were greeted with a drink not this time. The food was ok but not special. It was it was over priced. We will not be going back or telling our friends to go.
Usually I find Bromley restaurants have good food with rude service or bad food with good service. At last really tasty good quality food with friendly service. Highly recommended and great value.
Warmly greeted and the staff were helpful and understanding when half our party were an hour late. They suggested taking the food order from our friends over the phone as the kitchen was about to close, which was kind but luckily not needed in the end!
The staff were bubbly and offered suggestions fro the menu.
The food was very top class and service was great by the staff. Great experience overall and would recommend. Will definitely be back for another meal here. Well done to all at Cow and Pig!
We had our work Christmas party at the Cow & Pig in Bromley and it was an excellent evening - would really recommend. The food was of a high standard and the portions were a good size. However, the clincher for us was the service - the service was outstanding. We pre-ordered our food so when they served us they bought plates confirming who it was for so there was none of the last minute confusion as people tried to remember what they had ordered. The staff were really attentive without being over bearing whilst their manner was really relaxed which made our group feel relaxed and enjoy the evening even more. Would definitely recommend this restaurant - thanks for a great evening Cow & Pig Bromley
No Christmas menu, was disappointing
Third visit with my lady and it delivers every time.
Love the place , it is our go to choice for good food and drinks with great service and good value.
A winner every time
Really enjoyed our meal, service was great
We all had Sunday roast, it was nice but not amazing to be honest.
Also a shame that the kitchen staff use the same toilet as the customers as they left the toilet seat up each time :-(
The food was delicious, I can recommend the cheddar donuts (unusual but very tasty) and the portion sizes generous without being off-putting. The platter of meat is ideal for the indecisive diner with a large appetite.
The wine list has a good selection of wines by the glass, at very good prices.
The staff were attentive without being overbearing.
I had the meat platter which was very good, a good size portion and all the meat seemed to be cooked fresh. My wife had a sirloin steak which was asked to be medium/well. It was a very dry steak and didn’t seem to be particularly fresh. We also paid £16 extra to make that meal ‘surf and turf’. Four jumbo prawns were added, cooked dry. This felt like far too much money for such a small portion. Overall we were left a little deflated with the price of the food compared to quality. You can get much better value for money in the area. Our waiter was superb on a better note, very attentive. Will prob not go back to this restaurant.
The staff are always so warm and welcoming. I love the range of food especially Sunday roasts!
Nice people doing it well. Thanks for another good evening
Cocktails are lovely. Good food and excellent service. Very friendly and love the ambience
Customer service at Bromley was absolutely excellent, really friendly and very attentive, noticed they made conversation with customers and fast but not rushed courses
Just the food I personally ordered let the experience down , the rest of my table who ordered different food enjoyed their meal
I would return but eat something different ! The butternut curry was more like carrot and coriander soup with lumps of butternut and chickpea and the rice was unwashed , so it was very starchy with a lingering taste
First visit yesterday and it won't be my last! Had the lunchtime menu 3 courses - fantastic - very good value for money and delicious!
Simply impeccable, would recommend!! Excellent, attentive service, great food, perfect ambience...liked it so much I booked a table for Christmas Day!!
Will be coming back here every month! Great atmosphere, food and service.
Roast dinner is lovely. Good portion and plenty of gravy. However, skip the microwaved desserts. Atmosphere was quite lacking despite the restaurant being relatively busy.
Service really let this place down. Had to chase for a menu to start and chase three times for a dessert menu. Staff were friendly but didn’t make eye contact making it very frustrating to get anyone’s attention without wanting to jump up and flag someone. Three staff & 1 bar-man is not enough for a busy service.
Since they’re charging 12.5% service for all tables - which is what I expect to pay when dining at a five star hotel or fine dining restaurant in London, not a bar in Bromley - it really doesn’t compare. At all. There are plenty of options for nice Sunday lunch with better trained staff.
Food is wonderful as always, never had a bad experience. Lovely atmosphere and staff.
Lovely meal in a nice ambiance for our anniversary. Noise levels peaked a bit but only through the amazement of the resident magician doing his tricks between courses at the tables. He was excellent.
Disappointing food: my butternut and sweet potato curry had no butternut or sweet potato in it! My husband had the lamb which was dry. Don’t think we’ll be going back.
Drinks average price
Plenty of room between tables
Good location, close to Bromley North Station. Chose to eat here to celebrate my son’s birthday as it has a good choice of food. At 7pm on a Wednesday evening it was fairly quiet.
All very happy with our meals ranging from fish, chicken and steak and we were also entertained by a lovely table magician who I understand is a regular on Wednesdays. Staff very friendly and even sang happy birthday! Would not hesitate to recommend.
The food here is probably the best in Bromley!
It was a great experience overall the only thing I was not entirely too sure about was the cow face toilet seat. Just not in good taste with the rest of the restaurant's decor.
Great restaurant, took my parents here on this occasion. Enjoyed cocktails and had great service.
Lovely atmosphere and they have a magician entertaining you when you are waiting for your meal.
Trying to impress a lady on a first date , she was in catering!
11 out of 10 for everything!
Now my favourite place to dine on dates as it sets the perfect scenario and delivers every time!
If you want to impress go to Cow and Pig !
Amazing food and great service. Would definitely come back again.
We came to Cow & Pig Bromley for our Wedding Anniversary, it was the first time either of us had visited and we were both very impressed. We were warmly greeted and given excellent service throughout.
The food was delicious and very filling.
A very positive and happy restaurant experience and I would recommend to anyone. ☺
Second date with a lady I was trying to impress! from entry to exit staff were welcoming and friendly , the "Maitre d" sorry didnt catch his name was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him , or his team! Food was excellent , service prompt but didnt make us feel rushed and the bill was quick and again not made to seem the only important part of our visit.
My date is very precise in what she likes and expects, German lady , but she thoroughly enjoyed the whole dining experience and was impressed by the attention to detail the Maitre d exhibited.
All in all I would eat at the restaurant again and would make it our special place for future occasions , should our relationship continue.
Thank You for a fantastic evening , we loved every minute and I am sure will come back soon.
Lovely Sunday roast and good with kids. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Fantastic ambience, great good and excellent service. Large portions and really good quality.
Good quality meal, plenty of choice, lovely surroundings for a lovely evening out!
I would fully recommend and will definitely return.
This is the second time i'v visited Cow and Pig (in the space of 3 years) and have been unfortunately disappointed both times. The food was nothing special and relatively expensive given the quality. I feel like they could do better by limiting the menu to fewer choices and executing those dishes very well. One of the orders was fillet steak (cooked well), but then the thick cut chips were undercooked and let the whole thing down. The restaurant was busy, and service was initially slow to get drinks (waited around 15 mins). This did improve as the evening went on and the waitress was attentive. Overall won't be coming back anytime soon.
