Great service and food. 2 for 1 Cocktails good start to the meal especially the pornstar martini
10th January 2020. A very limited menu that featured Christmas Pudding as one of the 3 available deserts. Quality of food was good. Service was pleasant. Staff explained the menu was due to change. I would have expected greater choice on a Friday night.
Took my partner here for his 50th birthday at the weekend and it was fantastic. Service was 5 star as was the food and ambience. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Parsnip soup and Fillet were top notch!
Beef brisket nuggets and ribs were amazing with siracha ketchup haven't had these anywhere will definitely be coming back
Cow and Pig is always amazing and this visit was no different. Particularly impressed with the new special the creamed spinach
The staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate my sons birthday party in the private room. The food and drink was on point and great value for money. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!
Amazing service and food and even loved the music. Fleet wood mac really took us back hard! thank you very much would definitely recommend
Good value for money, tasty comfort food. Ribs are huge and super yummy. Decent homemade chips too.
I will just say get the calamari and cow cigars. They are seriously good. Better than stuff I’ve had in top restaurants
Came to cow and pig for my sisters 30th birthday. Was a lovely evening, we were seated under the tree near the bar. Such a nice atmosphere. Food is delicious and so are the cocktails. Our waitress was very friendly, service was great. They made it extra special when they bought the birthday cake out by playing a birthday song and all the staff sang happy birthday. This is small thing but made it special for my sister.
Already planning to celebrate Christmas here! Definitely recommend.
Excellent food and service, rib eye was cooked to perfection definitely coming back
Always good steak, with friendly service.. Stick toffee pudding is impressive, a must try! Go if you like your steak!
food was awful and very over priced. Also paid with cash and never received my change from the bill.
Food was great . The rhubarb & custard cocktail was delicious . Will go again for sure.
Amazing food and brilliant service! Would absolutely go back. h
I have previously given this restaurant 5* reviews, it was my go-to restaurant, however the last two visits I have really seen it slide downhill. The waiting staff are fantastic, they always have been. Very switched on and attentive. The food is delicious, however I'll share my most recent experience.
On arrival, we arrived 5 minutes before our booking, as the place was almost empty we were given the opportunity to pick a table. The manager when taking our drinks order informed us we couldn't have the drink we wished for by the glass as the menu was incorrect and we had to purchase by the bottle. No problem, we quickly picked different drinks. On ordering our food (the manager took our food order) I requested no butter on my vegetables. My veg came with butter on them and I just left them. The food was delicious, but as half the roast is veggies it's a bit disappointing to leave hungry. The chef has always managed to adapt for me before so I didn't think there would be an issue. On trying to pay, the card machine declined the card payment, not a big problem but I was starting to see everything add up. Another card machine and it worked. I think what really pushed me to write this review was the fact I sat and ate (half) the food, I paid the bill and we arrived on time then the restaurant put us down an not turning up 5 hours after the booking - we got cancelled. I wrote to open table who were great at sorting this out. Given the fact that there are some superb places to go in the near area, I won't return to the venue or recommend it. It's a shame, as it was a really nice place to go.
Lunch with colleagues here... Food was great and service provided was really good. There were 2 staff looking after all the customers and they were lovely and attentive to all of us! It was actually quite busy for a tuesday lunch, seemed like a full house!
Food came out very quick, I think it was great for a get out of office lunch - got back to the office within my 1 hour lunch. I would definitely recommend to office people. I'll defo be coming back, will try the Pie of the day, that looked lush! This time round i had the Cheese burger with fat chips (requested for them to be extra crispy - and they came out perfect)!
Fancied a sunday roast, so decided to go to cow and pig as we've been recommended it by my sister.
We were given the menus and i have to say i was spoilt for choice, not just from the sunday menu but from the a la carte too! I stuck with the Leg of lamb Roast but my partner decided to go for the BBQ Pork Ribs. We shared eachothers as the portions are very generous! Both were delicious, we were definitely not disappointed!
Very friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome, order taken with questions answered.
We will definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu!
Delish cocktails and wonderful food!
The staff are always lovely and attentive
Steak was beautifully cooked, lovely meal and good price.
Great evening with my husband , rib eye and the calamari was best i have ever had would defo recommend
Food was superb and service was very good
went in for a meal with family and enjoyed the steak night for a reasonable 20 pounds, great cocktail made by the enthusiastic bartender. The owner happened to be there and was very friendly, gave us the desert free, didn't expect it but was very nice!
The food was amazing, the service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff were friendly and polite, our waitress was very friendly and polite but quite inexperienced. I had put on the booking that it was a special occasion, and the restaurant didn't go the extra mile.
Drinks were acceptable, the food wasn't too bad, apart from one of my friends getting the wrong order, however that is an easy mistake to make.
It was lovely, quiet and clean, a good place to go with good company.
I am afraid the food was not up to standart the rosted pork belly was very chewy and it lacked flavour, but the service was great and so was the decoration.
We had a lovely meal and the waiter was very attentive. We had a great bottle of wine with our meak
Held my girlfriends 30th Birthday in the private dining room at cow and pig – 30 of us turned up. It was absolutely perfect. Private bar and dedicated staff to look after us all night. We went for the £30 set menu which was definitely worth it. They allowed us to continue the party with music and dancing after without any rush to leave after our meal. Would definitely recommend this room to people.
Food great service terrible
Had a family dinner at Cow & Pig. Because of its location and good standard this place gets busy. Waitress told us upfront how long the food will take as its freshly made - we didn't mind as we were enjoying the cocktails - margaritas, long island and old fashion throughout the evening! Staff were professional and friendly. Food was amazing as always - couldn't fault it at all!
As always an amazing experience , service was really friendly and efficient . Ribeye Steak was good and really lovely flavour .
I booked a table for 7 people, which I had to secure with my credit card. The table wasn't laid when we arrived, even though there was plenty of space. Three of us ordered ribs for starters and we had one chicken wings, these were all warm/ cold. The waitress was very helpful and offered to heat them up. I left mine in the end as they were cold. The rest of the meal was fine.
Excellent food, very attentive staff made this yet again an excellent way to spend a Wednesday evening
Delay to the dessert arriving, otherwise the service was excellent. Food was delicious and the chocolate fondant (dessert) was definitely worth the wait. The waitress did come and update us on the timing of the fondant as it is freshly made
Great decor and atmosphere. Efficient and friendly service. I loved my main course – the ribeye steak with mushroom and stilton sauce
I would reccomend them but they need to make improvements to make it better.
This is the second time at this restaurant. The food is good . Sadly this time we were REALLY let down by the service. Meaning we waited an hour for my husband and 4 year old child’s meal! I would go back for the food but based on this experience - don’t go for any level of service .
Went on Father's Day for a sunday roast. Great waitress who gave us lots of attention. Ovreall the food was very good but the stuffing and cauliflower cheese ordered as sides, at £4+ each, were disappointing and not worth the extra money. We sent the stuffing back. This place is still a head above most restaurants in Bromley and a welcome change from the high street chains which dominate the town.
I had the pork belly. I expect pork belly to be super tender and succulent. This dish was hard work. Quite tough and chewy. Even some gristle. Not what I'd expect from a meat specialist restaurant. Good flavour though. Of my three roast potatoes, one was much darker and its skin much thicker than the others. I wondered whether it had been reheated. With the exception of a very good half-carrot, the vegetables looked rather pulverised and possibly also recycled.
My daughter had the cheeseburger and chips from the children's menu. The burger was good; the chips were essentially a chipped version of a jacket potato. A bit too rustic perhaps, and I like my rustic chips.
For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream. Portion very small but good flavour and consistency, lots of lovely sauce. Good ice cream.
My daughter had the salted caramel ice cream. Not up to the best but passable.
Nice friendly service. The floor looked a bit dirty though.
Bad service the whole way through. I can see that the restaurant has told other reviewers that they "have checked their CCTV". I would love for you to check the CCTV and see what we saw! I am only posting this as your restaurant contacted OpenTable to state we were no shows. Unfortunately we did show. How did you miss us in a practically empty restaurant? We had to chase for water, napkins, plates, condiments etc. Took a napkin from the empty table next to us eventually. 5 mins later a femal staff member walked over and dumped about 10 napkins on our table and walked away. Aggressive much! The quickest part was getting the bill. My partner was served a cocktail that was approximately 1 sip and it was gone as the Martini glass resembled something from a doll's house play set. Staff openly talking about us in ear shot "huff, puff, what do they want", "WHAT'S WRONG" yelled from the bar when we requested another drink from a waitress. Food... Garlic bread? Covered in rosemary, couldn't find/see/taste garlic. Burger bun a brick, chips cooked on the outside not the middle and my chicken was so dry it peeled and was like string. Checked the review site before we went and saw 4.3 so thought this will be great. As meal became worse and worse we read the comments in the reviews. Filter anything from the last 4-6 months and it's ALL bad. I am assuming I am too going to be called malicious as a previous review was and I see they had a real similar experience to us. No wonder it was practically empty at 9pm on a sat night. We won't be going back. Refused to pay service which they accepted but we're so disappointed. The venue looks beautiful, menu looks great and there were 2 staff members out if the team of 6 or so who we saw, who when they appeared were helpful but the whole experience was shocking. £80+ for 2 people, 2 mains a sharer starter, 4 drinks and 2 sides for what we got in hindsight unacceptable & I should have argued for most of the food to be removed from the bill.
