We were sat in a dark corner and had to ask for more light. The air conditioning was dripping on our table and into my friend's food. She got given a new plate. The food was okay.
Excellent service , great food
Decent service. Poor quality, tough steak likely to have been frozen over lockdown. Expensive wine list. Overall 1 star. Wont be returning anytime soon
We have been coming here for years and have always loved the Sunday lunch but this time we was disappointed!!! We were all set to get the beef dinner (our usual choice) until the table next to us (table of 4) sent back all their beef untouched! Saying it was too chewy and fatty so went we for the lamb (previously had and loved) but to our disappointment was the same! Too chewy and fatty! Large pieces of gristle and my knife struggled to cut through it!! Disappointed to say the least!! And to top it off our waiter was not very friendly! He was not the most accommodating and after 2 mins of putting our lamb dinner down asked if we had finished with the mint sauce which when we said sorry no as my husband hadn’t used it yet he then slammed it back down on the table!!! He then continued to make us feel unwelcome at the restaurant!! Such a shame as we loved it here for so many years and spent quite a bit of money!! Will not rush back
Overall food was not worth the price, drinks are okay, just the atmosphere is really relaxing and cozy.
Had some issue with my food, as the fish was soggy and not tasty at all, but the staff has apologized and didn’t charged for the meal. So recommend this place for the service, and atmosphere, just for that
Good service as always & great food
Great experience, great food!
The bar has a nice ambience and service was attentive. My friend enjoyed her food a little more than I did but that’s food envy for you. A nice afternoon all in all!
The food was very average. I never send food back but the risotto mushroom had to be sent back as all you tasted was garlic and salt! Service was good, we had a lovely waiter. Overall it was okay! We love eating out and trying new restaurants but personally we wouldn’t go back again. Overpriced and under delivered unfortunately.
Great food and excellent service. Always a pleasure to eat here.
Lovely food, service compromised possibly because of the eat out to help out and it being busy
Great restaurant, excellent food and service (particularly from Lucy). Restaurant has good social distancing in place too
The food is always excellent at The Crafthouse and this was no different under the Eat Out Help Out scheme. Special menu was good but the only slight criticism was that the wine and water were not chilled at all and no bread unless requested and paid for.
It was a lovely meal and waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is beautiful!
Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Food was delicious
Great service and food was tasty but slightly overpriced for what you get, would return.
Different and refreshing mix of flavours and dishes, well presented and with great service. Drinks arrived promptly. The cheeses had lots of varied biscuits and accompanying flavours in chutney, quince and fruit.
My only complaint was that the bench seat (couch style) was a little low for me so I felt like I was perching on it leaning in up to table.
Classy place, great food, service. Definitely going back again.
Great safe and enjoyable experience , fantastic staff and very nice meal, overall fantastic
Food was incredible and service was fairly quick. Staff are professional and nice. Would of been nice to be outside however understandable with what’s going on. And feel peroni would be a good draft beer to be on
I was looking forward to dinner here for a while now. The decor was unimpressive for a five-star restaurant. Appetizers were so so. Beef tartar does not look like what's advertised online - it did not come with the egg on top. The raw meat was brown, the smoked salmon appt was ok. The main course was excellent, very delicious. I was pleased with the main. The service was great and find the staff to be very helpful and friendly.
Excellent food and service well worth a visit
Rushed service to get you out in less than a hour for 3 courses! Never seen anything like it!
Was very impressed at how well organised everything was with all the social distancing precautions. Was a very relaxing experience. The service was amazingly efficient- would be very pleased to go again
Great service, top quality. Went for my usual fav risotto . The chef really has magical hands and the dessert perfectly topped it off. Really enjoy coming here such a nice vibe and good food. Do try the summer punch too.
Lovely food, atmosphere good considering the current times! Good food, not a massive menu. I had the pork belly, tasty but not amazing. Chocolate melt in the middle pudding was delicious though!
The location is nice and I guess it is unfair for me to fully comment on the service due to Coronavirus measures. However, I feel the food was overpriced and the toilets weren’t clean and without toilet roll. For what I was paying I expected to receive a high end restaurant experience but I didn’t feel this was the case. Overall, it was just a very average experience and average tasting food for what you pay. It was for a 21st celebration so I thought they may have thrown in a free drink or something considering the amount you pay but this was not the case.
Website stated set menu on offer until 9pm Mon
A most enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all the party. I thought the wine was a little expensive, but this should be considered as a minor criticism.
A pleasant lunch. The chateaubriand In particular was excellent. The restaurant had few customers which led to a subdued atmosphere but the serving staff were friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable if not distinctive experience.
Exciting chic venue with good views over the rooftops. Could probably do with a good value lunch deal as it was deserted. Lovely friendly service, very good tasty food - some of the proportions weren't quite right but instantly rectified, and extra sauces no trouble. Disappointingly thin dessert menu, but the sorbets were delicious. Good wine list, with reasonably priced choices as well as vintage on offer. Overall value , it's worth paying the premium for the quality of food and the place.
1st class venue, food and staff //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
An exceptional waitress made up for the lack of others
Nice place to eat with chill music
Poor service waiter did not have knowledge of menu. Or the drinks limited gluten free choice
Genuinely one of the best restaurants I've been to in the world. We had the 5 course taster menu on Valentines Evening and the food was absolutely stunning. The atmosphere and the candlelit table with a rose were lovely. The live pianist was an amazing touch. The waiter was around our tables every few minutes and we were treat really well. The cocktails and wine were nice. The meal and drinks cost around £250 but we felt we had value for money. 10/10 from us :)
Great place and great night, amazing service... top evening!
Service was very slow and they weren’t even busy. Food was average, nothing special.
Not too easy to find, but well worth the effort. Great food and service.
We go here for New Years lunch every year with our small children and it is always wonderful. It is quite rare an upscale restaurant are so accommodating to toddlers but they are very welcome here and the food is delicious.
