   Crawford’s used to be our go to eats and drinks place in Sioux Falls….. unfortunately we will just be going for drinks from now on. They had a menu that we were looking forward to trying out. Everything sounded great but we were extremely disappointed. My wife order the beef ribs which were mostly fat. She could only manage to finish off a few bites do to the fat and tendons through the cut of meat. My steak was mediocre at best. I hate to give a bad review because we used to love this place. On a positive note, our drinks were great! So we will continue to drink but not get food….. sorry Crawford’s but you have got to do better!! Sioux Falls needs you to raise your food standards.

   It was busy for a Monday and we were seated upstairs at a round table for 5. Service was friendly but slow and we felt a little “neglected”. Steaks were fabulous! My flatbread was just good but not great. Side dishes and appetizers were also very good. Would give it another try.

   We have been to Crawford’s before and the food was great. With that being said, this time the menu was different, the food came out luke warm at best, portions seemed smaller … overall it was not near as good.

    Our food was excellent. The only thing I would like to see the wine served at proper temperature. We ordered a very nice bottle of Cabernet that was very warm when served to us we told the waitress and no response.

    From the moment we walked into the restaurant we could smell sewer gas. They seated us right away and the sewer gas smell got worse the farther into the establishment we went. We have eaten there many times before and loved it, but the sewer gas smell made us sick and we had to leave.

    This was the best ribeye I have had in sometime. Cooked perfect. It was great too, after eating, I saw a man walk through the restaurant. He looked like he knew how to cook a mean steak. After asking, turned out he was the guy. I was able to thank him and he sounds super excited to make people happy with his grilling skills. The décor in this place is amazing!

    I think the price is a little high. I ordered the walleye with mashed potatoes and carrots. The carrots were not cooked all the way. The service was outstanding.

    Our Mother’s Day experience at Crawfords was excellent. The food was all great and served quickly.. The server was efficient, and pleasant. More expensive than the average restaurant but well worth it.

    Of the four meals, only the filet was delicious. The crab ravioli lacked flavor, the brontosaurus rib was mostly fat and the walleye presentation was beautiful, but it was cold so I couldn't eat it. I'm happy to have it tomorrow from my air fryer.

    We were seated at a table for two just off the main walkway and by the bathroom. It was difficult to want to order anything but a few appetizers when we felt we were sitting at a bistro table. Next time I will try and request a different table.

    Spotty service at first. Nobody came to our table for 20 minutes. I quess there was a glitch in who had our table, but once that was resolved everything was great, good food, good cocktails, good overall experience.

    For a restaurant to be called upscale, I was mildly disappointed. The ambiance was nothing spectacular but they are advertised as rustic. Their wine selection is a bit limited. The food was OK but our expensive steak was over cooked and the shrimp was a bit tough. The service was pretty good and they did comp a dessert for the over cooked steak. The dessert we had was really good.

    Crawford’s by the eye is pleasing. You walk into a very well kept and decorated dining room. We were seated on time. The waitress couldn’t answer our question if the pecan crust could be put on the walleye instead of the salmon. (It couldn’t because it’s a premade product.) we ordered and the waitress brought out stale bread and butter. I ordered the Filet and shrimp and my wife ordered the pecan crusted salmon. When the food came it was apparent that the salmon is a frozen premade item. The squash purée was just like baby food and wasn’t bad. (But that also means it wasn’t good.) It was just OK. The filet was for tender but absolutely flavorless. A good steak just need salt and pepper. This baby had NONE. Same with the shrimp. It’s too bad that a good cut of meat was wasted because the chef forgot to season it. We passed on dessert. Sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some. And we lost on this one. It looks nice but the food was average at best. About $100 bill and we’d have been better off elsewhere.

    Only go for the apps and cocktails. Main courses were not worth the cost. We had a party of 6 and not 1 person was even remotely impressed with their main course (which are around $30-50 per plate). Our server was sweet but we sat long periods of time without her checking in on us, and significant stretches without water or a cocktail. The atmosphere is super cool and eclectic. The appetizers we had were good. We had the Butcher's Board (Charcutier), The Spinach Artichoke dip, and the Whiskey Bites. They were all excellent and the Epiphany martini is an interesting experience. Overall, considering the number of places to eat in Sioux Falls, I would honestly skip it and try something else rather than return.

    Nice restaurant in downtown Sioux Falls. Ate there while I. Town for a business meeting and knew I had to take my husband. We returned the following week for a night out. Our service was great, the food was delicious. The walleye dinner was perfect and the meatloaf dinner was like homemade, only better! Try the sticky toffee pudding cake, was to die for!     Initially service good. Food brought to our table by other staff, not our server. Food was lukewarm. 10-15 minutes to get server attention , plate taken back to kitchen and another 10-15 to return plate. Meal had obviously been microwaved turning vegetables on plate to mush. Server never apologized, explained or addressed the issue. Regular visitor to Crawfords but have noticed a steady decline in service at the same time seeing steady increase in prices. Time to find another Friday night regular location.

    Food was excellent. Problem was all the food came out at the same time. Soup and salad came out almost at the same time as the entree. So had to eat the entree first so it did not get cold. Drinks did not come out until we were half done with our meal after we reminded our server. We got our food promptly, but not in the right order.

    Our dinner experience was so wonderful. First of all, our server, Cassandra, was wonderful….very professional, friendly, attentive (without hovering too much), and simply the best. Food was superb….steak was flavorful & cooked to perfection. My salmon dinner was also delicious. We were celebrating our 51st anniversary and want to say thank you to Crawfords for the complimentary dessert for our celebration. We will definitely return to dine here again. A beautiful dining establishment!
